I followed this exactly, and I still had some issues, specifically regarding the interaction between the pad and rotor. I had to go back and ensure that the interaction between the surfaces is created in step 1 and propagated in step 2, and that fixed it up. Awesome video, it's been a massive help for my uni project!
hi, thank you very much for the tutorial. i am confused about the radiation, when you do this intersection, what surface to choose? thank you very much!
Firstly, thank you for sharing your excellent experience of using Abaqus to realize the thermal-stress analysis. I got two inquiries if you donot mind: 1. do you think the simulated results of temperature on the pad and steel are right? it is only 2.2E+1 Celcis degree? I dont think it meets the real senario 2. The Unit for Bolziman Constant is correctly coverted for mm unit?
First of all, thanks for comments. 1. Someone already asked same question. Please remind that the pad roates only 10 degree which cause small change in temp. If it would be full braking, I'm sure the temp will be much higher than this result. One more thing I'd like to say is that purpose of this tutorial is training, not for science paper, Don't be serious about the every detail of data. 2. I think converted Bolzman Constant is right for mm unit. If I'm wrong, please let me know. Thank you.
