Where's the option to limit the number of devices connected to the wi-fi?

You limit by specifying the devices that can connect or can not connect to the wifi. Under advanced settings -> Network -> Firewall then you can filter via MAC address or IP address.

It should still work with the phone. You must make sure the username and password is correct.

If you're logged on to the router, you can see connected devices. If you know the device name or mac address of the device you don't want to connect, you can disable internet to it.
