It does my heart so much good to see my "babies" in their forever home! What a wonderful home you have made for them, Ed and Cam! They have the very best life I could ever wish for any of the babies that I every whelped in my 45 years of breeding. Thanks for bing such good "parents" !!

👍🏻 I think so too... but the fence is now double secured by adding posts every 5ft instead of 10 and also lowered so it drags a little bit on the ground, so it'll be interesting to see if Levi finds more deficiencies as they will always be supervised! 🐾😍🐾

I. LOVE. THEM. SO. MUCH!! Schnauzees are the best 🤎 Plus its good they have the stream so they can always 'reload'!! And they're just like mine- not cows, but GOATS! Mine eats grass all the time, but doesn't get sick from it. And with all the new smells, they will so love that yard now.

I was surprised they actually went back inside your house at the end, thinking they would want to stay outside tracking scents from animals for hours & hours. They had bundles of energy for sure. It was great to watch all the enthusiasm!! Beautiful video 👍🏼

So fun to see the boys running the yard. They squeezed every drop out marking as many trees and bushes as possible. They really loved the freedom of no leash. I almost had a heart attack here watching when Levi got under the fence!
👍🏻 Just noticed your edited comment regarding Levi finding a weakness in the fence... need I say, should we be surprised? To meet his requirements, I added posts every 5 ft instead of 10... makes it much tighter, also lowered the fence so that it drags on the ground a little... all that being said the boys will always be supervised because you never know with Levi! 🐾😍🐾

If I may, you should let them eat grass once in a while, they need it (to purge themselves of toxins in the environment, industrial food, etc). Never mind if they throw up afterwards, throwing up is not a sign of sickness, it is just a physiological reaction, no matter for worry. Some dogs will even pick some specific types of grass, they know which are good for them. So, no, grass is no villainous enemy.

@@SchnauzersNature My white one is only slightly smaller, and she is a mix....and a bossy girl! Both are actually rescues, but the similarity in their personalities to yours always makes me smile. The one difference so far is that my white one (Winn) would have been the one to find the gap in the fence!

My 2 miniature schnauzers love eating grass. It never fails Ace will always throw up. But he's happy in the backyard tracking just like you beautiful babies. Btw that's a beautiful house, yard and lake view.

I love those schnauzers. You bring joy to my heart as I watch them. My 15 year old schnauzer passed away in January. I'm looking to get another . I miss him so very much. How do you keep Luckys white beard so clean? Do you have to clean him after every meal? There both beautifully handsome!.

We have Levi’s twin, Yoshi! We just moved to 5 acres where Yoshi can be “ Unleashed” and he’s settling in nicely and loves being FREE from a leash and always waiting for me to take him out. Your boys are beautiful! Is this not the best breed EVER? Yoshi is my hubby’s 7th or 8th schnauzer and he’s got me hooked! Love!!!

We have 2 tiny schnauzer girls (8 pounds each), significantly smaller than your guys. We put up the same type of fence in the yard, but the girls have not been able to get out, and they can slither out of almost anything! Our fence posts are closer (about 4') and my husband got some long nails and bent the tops into a "u" shape so that he could space them over the bottom fence wire and into the ground between posts. There are 2-3 between each post. (I also think that tent stakes might work!). Even though our yard had a picket fence, the dogs could walk right through it so we had to find a way to keep them in! Interestingly enough, our girls patrol the whole yard (like they are on a mission) and sniff everything almost every time they go out. We have woods behind us and I'm sure that many critters venture through the yard from time to time. It reminded me of Levi and Lucky on their first escapade into the yard. By the way, I think your boys are the most beautiful schnauzers I have ever seen. We watch every video with our girls and we only have to say "the boys are on" and they run to the TV to watch and bark. They think they are playing with them.

Brilliant, i'd wondered if they went outside for a wander(seeing the toilet setup, didnt know if it was just for winter or all year). Lovely to see them. My boy is always eating grass too and anything else he can pickup.

We have a salt and pepper named Nickel and his brother Nelson (the white one), 10 1/2 years old. We had to say good bye to Nelson on Monday due to cancer. Nelson was very talkative and would jump up into our arms, very energetic. We miss him terribly. Nickel is doing great and acts like he is 5. We have another dog so he is not alone.
They would dig to get to the roots of our plants in the backyard. Chew on them and rub their bodies on them. I do not know why.
Schnauzers are awesome. We had a black standard schnauzer, Newman, who we lost about 3 years ago. He was 14.
So very sorry to hear about your loss. That's the hardest part of owning pets, but time does heal. It took a year after losing my previous two black & white brothers Buddy & Buster in 2015 (both leaving for rainbow ridge 7 weeks within each other at only 12 years old) before getting these two. Ironically, Lucky's personality is exactly the same as Buster, and Levi's is the same as Buddy. Initially thought it would be hard to have so many similarities, but it actually only brings back so many fond memories of the previous two. I'm glad to hear Nickel is not alone. I find it interesting you found this channel so soon after your loss and that the personalities are similar. Hopefully watching my boys will only bring back fond memories of Nelson. Please take care of yourself. 🐾🐾

Just watched the ear licking video. Buddy and Buster(I have a horse named Buster) were beautiful!! Nickel would do the same thing to Nelson, but Nelson would not clean Nickel's ears.

So many I have seen with their tails cut and nearly bald shaven. They look much better in their natural state plus their tails are for a purpose. Ive got a black mini schnauzer and whitst I brush her regularly and trim as necessary, I have never completely trimmed her fur.
If I had a choice, the tail would not be cut, but that’s what is done in the states. Regarding the haircut, you’re entitled to your opinion, but this cut is what the breed is supposed to look like. Just know that all channel proceeds are donated to the local animal shelter if that makes you feel better about their looks. 🐾🐾
@@SchnauzersNature I respect your choice but who gets to decides on what it is supposed to look like? Surely nature first. Like you rightly pointed out it is a choice after. Do we all have to follow the same look? By the way my quite doggie enjoyed your video.
My schnauzer was given by my brother (he's a vet) and the tail was already cut. I would have preferred it if he didn't though. He usually ties the tails with rubber bands to restrict blood flow until the tail 'dies' on it's own. Its usually done a day or two after they are born.

you have such cute dogs! They are so happy to walk on the grass. We also have a white miniature schnauzer Umka. We walk a lot in the nearby forest, train and participate in sledding competitions - no worse than huskies. Schnauzer in the best breed!

Me too, mine was named Nilly like vanilla for her coat which was so soft and silky, she loved my cousin and my dad and my ex Liza, she would jump in her lap and kiss her probably because she smelled so good and Liza loved her more than she probably loved me but I always loved her.

This was the first time they were in their yard unleashed, it's been baby proofed already and one of us is with them any time they are let out... as far as eating grass, they have not thrown up whatsoever, but we do try to redirect their attention when they want to eat too much, not much else can be done there. I have a white miniature schnauzer - love our Max (8 months) how tall is that fence ? Our Max jumped a 4 ft fence so a taller fence was put .

👍🏻 Welcome to the channel! My roommate, who's also the boys' groomer and I did the fence ourselves, it wasn't difficult at all... I had to come up with something to allow the boys to go out, but it had to be fenced in as Levi would run off if he picked up a scent... besides had to come up with different videos instead of just inside the house. I had a mini named Freddy I lost him in August last year. They are great dogs. Mine was 17 years old. I could not get another one so I got a mini poodle puppy. Your pups are beautiful are they both males?

When it's the outside, Levi is the leader, an avid hunter and Lucky loves to follows him... but inside the house, Lucky is the boss, always gets first choice of toys and sleeping areas and Levi is ok with that because he's always busy doing what he does best... sentry duties! Me again and great word of advice kee a water bucket by your back door but only put it outside while they are outside and put ice and water in it the reason I say put it out only while they are is because you never know what kind of nasty neighbors you may have and things can mysteriously get into their water that can be fatal.pleasr take my advise on this please
