We had a body sweater for our schnauzer to wear in frigid weather, but the ‘thunder thingy’ you used on lucky post surgery is a great item . ( p.s. have you guessed that my ‘Soft spot’ for Lucky💖💕 has grown??? ) Take care ! ♥️

I’m sure you already know we have eagles here too, the boys are never outside alone either. 🐾😍🐾

Eagles LOVE to eat fish, and on a nest close to a lake they are in a favorite feeding ground. Their vision allows them to see fish from great heights and fly down to catch them with amazing skill. All dogs are precious family members and I understand your protective nature, but understanding the species nature & behavior may decrease your anxiety.

@@vgorski7545 I am sure they would prefer a delicious trout, but they do take down small livestock, such as sheep, and for that reason I admire them from a distance. My husband was out walking the dog and above him flew an osprey. An eagle came down, flipped the osprey, and stole the fish. He said it happened so fast it shocked him. The birds in the sky have an entire society that I respect and appreciate but exercise a healthy fear towards. The Missouri River can be very primal and rough. So little dogs must be watched constantly. Isn't nature interesting?

Indeed. There are YT vids of eagles stealing fish from osprey, whose diet is almost 100% fish. Bald eagles love fish, but also gather around carrion and fight over food, similar to vultures. What amazes me about bird species is the beauty, majesty of large seabirds like an albatross to the delicate wings and colors of a hummingbird. To say I love birds, all birds, is an understatement. Our bald eagles rebounded back from near extinction due to DDT. Its magnificent image was a great choice for a symbol of this country. Ben Franklin’s suggestion was wild turkey. OK, Ben but they don’t exhibit power. They roast into a great meal ! HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all.

Levi’s fur color has gotten lighter over the years, but the longer fur with the bright sunlight makes it look even more lighter than what it really looks. The camera lens filter would have prevented this but didn’t have the chance to put it on. 🐾😍🐾

@@SchnauzersNature. I have often wondered what the boys do while you’re on treadmill too. Read a book where a playful Golden retriever brought tennis balls to his owner & bounced the balls when he started running. He landed flat on the moving belt on abdomen, then his dog jumping on him wanting a play session. ♥️ Dogs are grand fun !!!!!!

@vgorski7545 That’s for sure. During the treadmill, Lucky is usually on the couch or in his cube napping, while Levi is doing the watching duties from/laying on Ed’s bed. 🐾😍🐾

Had to watch it to “refresh” my memory… that one is extra special, the fact it was only 4 days after the surgery. I will definitely do a SHORTS version at some point, got lots more time now with yard work dwindling down. I’m curious, do you watch the SHORTS? 🐾😍🐾

@@SchnauzersNatureyes!! I do watch the shorts. You know however that I love schnauzers and will always watch anything you post whenever I see it on my list. I LOVE birds too / subscribe to various TH-camrs who film birds. ( I sent a message when you saw the N. Cardinal in the yard). Location: vg in the Midwest. For dogs I have at least 6 YT favs. My interests are varied but like I said in one of my first messages here, my mother had a M.Schnauzer decades ago. Looked so much like Levi; must admit I have a soft spot in ❤ for Lucky. Ever vigilant Levi and his vocal brother are always in my heart💖💕

One other thought. You thought Levi would go into the water after the geese or ducks. Mom’s dog did surprise us by heading into a small lake after ducks. Great memory for me 😄

@vgorski7545 Did I ever mention this about Levi? Way before I started doing videos, we let the boys out in the driveway UNLEASHED during the winter, Levi picked up a scent and followed it, would not come back to us when called. He ran up the driveway, crossed the road (fortunately no cars at the time… whew), continued up the driveway of the neighbors, and there waiting for him was a huge golden retriever, and he stopped right in his tracks. That’s when I was able to catch up to him. If that dog wasn’t there, Levi would have probably kept going. The whole time Lucky stayed behind with Ed. That’s why I don’t want take another chance of having Levi unleashed outside their fenced area. Lucky, on the other hand can be unleashed, as you’ve seen in a few videos. 🐾😍🐾

He just wanted to be with me in everything I did. But of all things grouse hunting was his favorite. Best hunting dog at my cabin in the woods.
