The best mod ive seen on making a Jimny more useful, i think you should put all the plans up for sale to help all us Jimny owners, and the money you make would off set your expenses im in England and ive never seen anything like this its magic
Great content that you guys are offering. Its so nice to have videos that are made by South Africans and products can easily be found locally. I love the team work in all your builds (and also camping trips). I bought a basic Campmaster trailer and your videos was one of the reasons that I installed a roof tent. If you dont mind, i will email you design request for the drawer system and water pump system.
This looks awesome! I am waiting to do something similar in my new Jimny. Would you be open to share plans or plans you models yours off at all? Thank you.
Hi Kalinda, the drawer is made from 19mm Aluminum tubing with connect fittings, you just need to create spacers under the frame to ensure the frame sits level, then you can cover/deck it as you wish, and decide on the height you need, For the fixed drawer on top we used Aluminum t-slot profiles which is a different system but also easy to use.
absolutely love this. looks very professionally built, and good use of the space. can you please share the name of that modular alu extrusions that you used?
Thank you Barend. We used the PG 20/40 and PG20/20 profiles, can be ordered online from Modular Assembly Technology in SA. They have a great service where they cut to length and label each item for you, very professional.
Thanks Anton, I am not sure if there is an off the shelf product that allows full access to the belly of the Jimny. There is a bush tech solution which is more conventional drawer system but not sure of the price, so can't compare.
This is absolutly brilliant. I'm looking forward to copy your design for my 2022 jimny used in my timberjack job. Do you have an idea on how much your materials did cost you ?
Thanks Ben, we got a replacement strut from a local parts supplier the length is 450mm, and we tried some different gas pressures and 280Nm works well. Just make sure the new strut has the metal connectors on the ends.

Great design and build although you are eliminating huge amount of space. The rack under the headliner was amazing!
Thank you, we are utelising the space under the drawer as well, would be interested to know your thinking on where we are not optimising usage?

This is amazing would you say it is a lot cheaper to do it like this then to buy the draws system ?

what is the gray cover you used for covering the entire cabinet?
Hi we used an automotive carpet, think in the sun it looks more grey 😊

Hi, thanks for the feedback, it cost us about R3000 South African rand that's excluding the runners.
Wow 😮
Hi! I love this design and would love to do it myself for my Jimny! Is there any chance you could share your design and dimensions?
Hi, email us and we can see how we can help, fooshadventure@gmail.com

What is the black angular metal tray above the drawer system called?
Hi we call it a rigid parcel shelf.
Hey guys, what are the dimensions of the aluminium profiles? Thank you.
Hi, we used 19mm Ali tubing.
Is that for the modular profiles? From about 5:01 in the video?
Apologies, for the smaller drawer it is PG20 profile main frame are 20x20 and the bottom ones 20x40.
Amazing! Thank you.
Netjies!!
Dankie
