How I love the original Famicom! Thanks to the author of this channel for the video playthrough of this wonderful game. I love the Japanese version of turtles. And I express my gratitude, since there are very few videos on TH-cam with the playthrough of versions of games for Famicom, for NES there are a lot. But I consider Famicom for true fans.

Japanese gamers were spared from the original shitty nes TMNT game. Therefore to Japanese gamers this is the second Ninja Turtles game.
They still got TMNT 1, but it wasn’t branded as TMNT, it was a side thing Konami made up themselves.
@@amso7169 And thankfully, they did. They called it: "Geki Kame Ninja Den," which translated to: "Legend of the Radical Ninja Turtles".
It wasn't until the 2nd NES Turtles game that came out for Japan that it was called, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." The Manhattan Project was TMNT II over there. I assume that Konami most likely did it to separate the side-scrolling action game from the Beat-'Em-Ups.

It's called TMNT II in Japan because the first crappy TMNT NES game was known as Gekikame Ninja Den in Japan. The second game knows as TMNT II: TAG outside Japan, in Japan they decided to use the English name (TMNT). And that's why, Manhattan Project is known as the second in Japan.
