Lyrics:
Gloria, you're always on the run now
Running after somebody
You gotta get him somehow
I think you've got to slow down
Before you start to blow it
I think you're headed for a breakdown
So be careful not to show it
You really don't remember
Was it something that he said?
Are the voices in your head calling, Gloria?
Gloria, don't you think you're fallin'?
If everybody wants you
Why isn't anybody callin'?
You don't have to answer
Leave them hangin' on the line
Oh-oh-oh, calling Gloria
Gloria (Gloria), I think they got your number
(Gloria) I think they got the alias
(Gloria) That you've been living under
(Gloria) But you really don't remember
Was it something that they said?
Are the voices in your head calling, Gloria?
A-ha-ha, a-ha-ha
Gloria, how's it gonna go down?
Will you meet him on the main line
Or will you catch him on the rebound?
Will you marry for the money
Take a lover in the afternoon?
Feel your innocence slipping away
Don't believe it's comin' back soon
And you really don't remember
Was it something that he said?
Are the voices in your head calling, Gloria?
Gloria (Gloria), I think they got your number
(Gloria) I think they got the alias
(Gloria) That you've been living under
(Gloria) But you really don't remember
Was it something that they said?
Are the voices in your head calling, Gloria?
(Gloria, Gloria, Gloria, Gloria, Gloria)
(Gloria, Gloria, Gloria, Gloria, Gloria)...

@ Michael savin thanx luv back @ ya have an amazing awesome weekend cheers
This song always reminds me of my mother. She had a pretty hard life, 2 divorces one from an abusive alcoholic, raised 4 kids, and died at 42 of cancer. But on occasion this song would play on the radio and she'd forget her worries for just a moment and sing it like Laura Brangahan herself. My best memories was when I was in college and we went to 2 weddings within 2 years and we danced to this practically clearing that dance floor. I just remember her wide smile and how happy she was in the moment. After the 2nd wedding, she was gone by the following year, but before she went I played this for her in the hospital and tho she couldn't sing, she flashed that signature smile. This song will forever and always be her song to me.
What a beautiful story! Thank you for sharing. My mother has passed too. These memories are worth more than pure gold, I do know :)
This song makes me smile, and reading this story made me smile also. God bless your mother, sir.💚

Fell in love with her when this song first came out...STILL loving her Jan. 2020
I was born in 90. But I'm very fond of the 80s and its styles. I LOVE the music from the 80s!

80 years music, my time❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
THIS SONG IS A MASTERPIECEEEEE
She had an incredible voice. So sad she died so young. So many today don’t have half her talent.
Like Taylor Swift?
shes alcoholic and smoker
It is a fact that she has a powerful voice. But don't discredit any other artists talents, Just like her they had their own style and uniqueness.
@@dot1528 Who did I discredit? Sadly, my simple point went right over your head.
@@archangel1527 stated from your comment "so many today don't have half her talent." is so much dead giveaway. lol
Her voice makes this song. Have loved it since first time I've heard it.
like if you are coming to listen to the song after watching Eric
Gloria: Outstanding voice! Tremendous range 👏 👌 👍
I remember hearing Gloria at the night clubs. Laura had a beautiful strong voice. May she rest in peace.
1982: Played Laura's first single, "All Night with Me" on the old KFTW radio in Missouri. It got good response and I charted it. I had not seen Laura at that time. Atlantic responded and sent me a copy of the "Branigan" LP. Immediately fell in love. It had a note attached: "Gloria" is next. So I switched to that track and the phones lit up. The song came back 37 years later, 15 after her passing, as the victory song for the 2019 Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues. Amazing. We miss you, Laura.
My friend, I will always cherish this song, because of this incredible voice - and I will always cherish the 2018-19 Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues because of this song. Thank you.
Bring back 1970s 80s ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC MUSIC 👍
I mean outfit goals
Was für eine Stimme ,was für eine Frau.
