Nice, I had no idea there was a hack for this! Clearly the best way to play this game. I remember you can play as the gryphon in the VS mode, but not in the story mode. I thought it was an unlockable character or something, but nope, just in the vs mode for some reason. I read in the Cutting Room Floor that if you hack the Griffin into the story mode, his magic is glitchy. The maker of this mod apparently took the lightning magic we see here from elsewhere in the unused game code where it was just sitting there complete attached to no character.
yes, this character is fun, all of us wanted to play with him in story mode back in the day :p , check websites like Romhacking.net there are a lot of cool hacks :D

Oh how i longed to see those powerful and impressive enemy characters available for the story mode!:)Seems like my childhood dream came true and i can use THE BIRD(and some other originally non-playable characters as well),thanks to the mod makers and SEGA fan-sites!:))

it was that!!! i (GoeX) played this game so many times in the past (but not with gryphon) and my friend (MSG) he never played this game before, he was playing with the "standart beat em up tech" LOL
@@slgamersargentina5568 hahaha I downloaded this after so many years and my muscle memory still remembered all the enemies and from where they appear after all this time, I finished the game with only 1 life gone
