@@Kj16V I think you're the one who got things turned around here. Vikashar thought that that the line was stolen by Raphael in the movie from this game, and I pointed out that that could not be possible, since the game was released in 1992, and the movie the line comes from was released in 1990.
You don't see it in this video, but if you try to do a magic attack while the shield is still around, it sucks up the potions and uses them to spit a magic attack at YOU.

Yeah. :( I really, really miss the old school side-scrolling beat'em-up games like Double Dragon, Golden Axe, Final Fight, TMNT et al. I know there are indie games out there that attempt to capture the same sort of feel, but I dunno... Something always feels missing. It might be linked to the physical presence of standing at an arcade cabinet mashing buttons alongside 2 or 3 other random kids and pumping in quarter after quarter at a particularly tough boss.

It's a shame this game didn't have any Tyris stand-in... I mean, we had an Ax stand-in and Gilius himself, but no one to fill in the role that Tyris had. And Dora the Exploring Centaur doesn't count.
Gotta reuse them bosses. But seriously, they could have avoided a lot of repeats here by making a boss only appear at the end of each stage, as opposed to 2-3 of them per one stage.
You might want to correct the 5th (edit: and 9th) boss enemy... it's not a Cyclops - if you look closely, it has two eyes. More like an overgrown Orc or smth...
