Yoe need to get back to Indonesia. We're in Sulawesi at the moment and when we visited a teak plantation I was able to pick a up a stack of nice pieces FREE to take back to our boat from their scrap pile leftover after they built a fence with teak. We love this place.

I’d love to get back there , probably to late for me now but maybe on a flight some day.

Years ago, I worked on boats in yards and in the harbor. As you well know (and are demonstrating) things don't always go as planned. But you can look up and see the sky and water all around and wonder how people could work in an office or a factory. Also, there's something clean about working to a deadline imposed by the weather rather than a scowling boss pointing at his watch.
Just a note, the date on the video says 2021.
Keep up the good work and good videos!

My father worked in a factory for 30 years on shifts to feed his family , a stronger or better man than me maybe as I couldn’t do it.
The go pro keeps losing its date , it’s most infuriating as the footage comes in its raw form in chronological order so I end up sifting through it all to find what I want. I hadn’t noticed the year was wrong , oddly in edit those dates on the software cannot be amended.

Great video Ian. It's always the way with boat jobs. Start with one thing and open Pandora's box. Be well

Hi ship mates. Yes massively frustrating to start one job and immediately deviate to a different one.

Dang it mate, free handing a router on such a nice piece of the boat you got bigger balls than I have.
I would probably spent half a day just making a jig to do those corners.
When I come over you'll probably like that I have some great woodworking skills.
Great vid and the teaser wants me to look forward to it.

Repairing teak framed hatches on Skylark. 1st sanded down teak frames, next will throughly seal with penetrating epoxy then reattach acrylic cover. Finally will put several coats of varnish. Will last several seasons. Good luck with your project

      Hiya Shane.
When the temps are higher I Amy pull the acrylic out , I’ve had Blown Away for over 20 years and have replaced the plexi glass before and I think stripped the frames and reviled them.
I’ve been using a varnish substitute which is amazing stuff and lasts longer but not quite as fine a finish , the varnishing will start in April or May , what boat is skylark ?
