    Love your videos when I can follow them. Not all of us are at your level of expertise and as masterful in this field as you. I am a beginner and sometimes you speak like you are talking to everyone at your level and live us novice people alone. I would ask you to please not assume that we know what you are talking about because I don't but I still return to your videos after I have learned it some where else . Regardless you do a fantastic job and I aspire to learn more of the comprehensive material you always put out. Thank you for your time.

    I'd like to see the delta 2 expansion cable be used for a custom expansion battery. Based on pin count they have all the balance leads in that battery expansion cable. That would be a fun video to see you modify one of those or make your own adapter

    • @Firz82
      @Firz82 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Inside the Delta 2 - 16s battery, respectively there should be 17 balancing contacts(wires). So no, those extra contacts in the cable are for communication, not balancing contacts.

    $2200 for 3kwh....or $200 per kwh for new/very lightly used LiFeP04 cells.
    I look at your scooter batteries as "night time solar panels" and if you aren't drawing a load or just a small one these battery expansions are ideal for anyone that needs to recharge their unit overnight and then open their MPPT back up to solar in the morning. Even an 800W charge from these batteries has your Delta all juiced up in less than a short night.

    Getting a few used 12V car batterys from a scrapyard and connect them in series would give the same results and would be cheaper. Use a inverter charge controller and your done for than €200,- probably. At least in my region.

      It is if you already have a $2200 Ecoflow. I am lucky to have a $3000 Goal Zero and it has a 50v input so a 42 volt scooter battery would work just fine if my big boy goal zero ever runs out. I use a 300 watt solar array and it gives me about 50 percent boost per day so I really don't need more batteries. The solar panels cost me $300 and I get around 1.5kwh per day so it costs about the same as Jehu's battery. Its really nice to expand a battery because running out of power is lame.

    I know the ecoflow can be directly hooked up to solar and it will manage itself. I guess what I’m trying to ask is if you were to build an off grid system with the ecoflow could you add those extra batteries and forget about them? Have like a huge 25k or bigger reserve so you can only run solar and those batteries hooked to your house and have it self manage without unplugging and plugging stuff in everyday?

  • @junkvista61
    @junkvista61 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Thanks for good video, but look like you just talk about using the external batteries to charge the Ecoflow DP but not using Ecoflow DP to charge the batteries at the same time you have solar energy to charge Ecoflow DP. That defeat the purpose of having solar array by using grid power to charge those batts.

    Don't do this, those used batterys have a custom designed BMS NOT INTENDED FOR SERIES CONNECTION!!!!, the internal FETS are not intended to sustain that voltage when they open.
    Any failure on the solar charger (that is designed for solar pannel, and not constant voltage supply!!!) will lead almost sure to a fire, as the BMS will try to open, and the FET will fail in short, next any trace or if there is a fuse will catch fire as it has to break >100V DC.....

How do I get this low powered device to accept that amount of power without damaging it. The UPS has a beautiful display is the reason why I bought it in the 1st place but I wanted to have longer run times so I want to run it for ridiculously long periods of time. But I believe that the wires can't handle the power I wish to run through it so how do I break down the power to run this device safely and still have those ridiculous long running time.

    could legit strap the batteries to the top of the ecoflow delta pro, then just have a charger you can charge it with, like a 220v 1000w charger or something, then you would need a way to swap it over so its used as a battery when its fully charged, Not sure how you could automate this unless you have a adapter for the external battery used for the ecoflow extra battery and just use that adapter for these batteries, but now sure if thats possible
