    The Delta Mini has a limitation of 300w on the solar input.

    you need to have a xt60i plug to get more watts input that plug has a notch in the middle that will activate the high power input

      What about with a conventional lifepo4 house battery with +\- poles? What’s the best way to connect a delta 2 max to this regular house battery so that the alternator charger is charging and discharging both batteries?

    I miss the days when you would tear into a Ecoflow and take it apart. How about doing one where you figure out how to put an auxiliary battery on a Delta 2 Max and figure out how to connect it using the two side ports? There has to be a way to use those for adding a 100ah battery.

    Great video. But u should take the +ve and -ve ends of the charging cable from the OPPOSITE sides of the parallel config. That way each battery sees a balanced and identical flow of current

    You can just read the specs for the MPPT inputs, if you know the max wattage divide that by the max amperage and that'll give you the minimum voltage input to get max power... i.e. Delta Max 2000 is 800W 13A, so you need ~62V at minimum to get 800W.

    I just talked to a Signature Solar engineer and he said that connecting their 48V batteries in series will absolutely kill the BMS in a short time.
    I also talked to the folks that sell the Jakiper people and they said the same thing. Is there any 48V battery that the make approves of connecting them in series?
    Maybe you could hack the cable that the delta pro extra battery plugs into to see if you can get more power into the delta pro. I sure would be interested in this

    You'll have to connect the external battery manually otherwise the Ecoflow will continuously drain it - just the standby use - as it uses solar as priority, right ?

    Your video is great and based on what I saw I decided to buy a 11.7kw Basen green Lifepo4 51.2V battery. I will charge a BG battery with solar panels via a Victron MPPT 150/35. I will charge the Delta pro from BG battery (sketch). Output from BG battery is 50Ah (200Ah max).
    After a minute of charging with an output power of 15.5A, the output power from the BG battery started to drop to 3A and then back up to 5A, thus minimally charging the Delta Pro in waves (3A 5A 3A 5A, ...). Could it be a power output problem with too much amperage (DP max input xt60 is 15A)? How can I solve this?

    Another good video. I was really interested in the ECO Flow when I saw they could produce 240V with the options. But the price was too high. For me to take my Texas home off grid it is better to get server rack batteries and split phase inverters for 240VAC. Again, thanks for the video. I have always liked your channel!

    Per ecoflow, delta mini maxes out at 300 watts charging via solar port, even though it supports up to 10 amps, hmm. Delta max should be capable of 800 watts, not sure why it only took 525 or so watts charging from server rack battery. Btw, XT60I-F connector has a pin on the side that triggers max amperage on ecoflow inverters, XT60H-F doesn't have that pin.

    and still keep the UPS function from the delta?

    Can you charge it off your Rivian or anything else electric? I'm considering using the 12v outlet in my Tesla model 3 while in camp mode. That would keep some power coming into the Ecoflow all the time. Hoping that would be enough in an emergency to run a fridge, lights, other necessities.

    • @Mike-.

    Do the Delta units function as a UPS, and if so, what is their switch-over time? Is it possible to use the Delta units while they are charging, meaning can they power devices while being charged simultaneously?

    • @rcguymike
      @rcguymike ปีที่แล้ว

      Delta Pro has a better UPS, the other EcoFlow units are "EPS" up to 30mS switch over which is hit or miss for sensitive electronics. You can pass through wall power to devices and charge the battery in the units themselves but I've heard there are some limits to how much you can pass through while charging...might be ~1200watts or something...could be different per unit as well. I wish they could do like Victron where you can actually boost the utility input with the inverter(would be very handy in a garage if you're running air compressors, welders, heaters, etc).

    Help! I have a basic question. I'm looking at a battery TimeUSB 100 AH. It can discharge, apparently, at 100 watts. What is the point of having a beefy inverter if the battery is a wimpy 100 watt output??? I'm just not getting it. Could someone please help or send me to remedial electronics and battery school website? Thanks for what you do. Peace upon your house and safety to your family.

    • @jehugarcia
      @jehugarcia  ปีที่แล้ว +1
