There are actually two market prices, the Buy and Sell prices. If you want to sell something immediately, you have to sell them TO a buy order (someone says "I will buy this item for X credits").. if you want to get the most out of it you have to put up a sell order ( = "I will sell this item for X credits").. so yeah, basically a station trader profits off of the laziness of other people :) They make profits immediately, just not as much as they could when selling instantly
I'm the guy who finds the item thats been 0.01 ISKed to oblivion and buys it instead. I also drastically undercut everybody when i sell things, come at me bro
VERY WELL organized video and good narration skill. Shame you started with the .01 isk tactic. Would have loved to see a different take on trading for your first day. Subbed for great video Quality!
So I just started margin trading and i wanted to know how much do you float on margin or negative wallet. I see in your video you need more isk to cover then isk in your wallet. is there some % you follow so orders don't sell and things are moving?
I made far more money going to very high volumes with a 1-2% profit. Mainly materials, minerals, moon materials ect. 5 billion worth of zydrine at a 1% profit is 50 mil in one sale. Do a couple sales like that in one day and you make 300 million in a few hours vs scouring around across 50 items for a mil here and there.
Also if high volume item price drops 3-5% below what it should be you can simply buy out the market to reset the price to the level you want. often it only takes 5-10 billion to clear the market on an item. All of them you cleared then go up for profit. It helps to pad the market across a few accounts too instead of selling 100k units from one, set 20k units across five accounts and make it seem like they are competing with eachother.
Even when you don't play that often, you can see the state of the economy by looking at the crazy prizetag of PLEX but how badly does it affect other commodities' prizes?
jtdunlop = Danari = SJ Astralana = Alak D'bor. I'm the biggest producer in Amarr and I freely share my experiences on forums and with anyone who eve-mails me with questions. Don't be a sucker, don't grind isk, play smart.
Is there a way you can help me make enough ISK to buy plex in 21 days? Ive tried it in 21 days before, if not twice! and I didn't make enough to buy plex. It's been a while now and..... not sure if I want to give it another shot.
mine in venture :D, in low sec, could be quite a adventure. but before you start earning for plex, see how much it takes for you to earn 15eur in real life, if that's faster, go for it! It's probably not worth sacrificing real life income by spending lot of time in eve to earn for plex to be able to spend more time in eve, to earn plex to spend more time in eve, unless it is your goal and what you want to do in eve.
2:25 Settings tab, "mark my orders". Unless it's been changed since 2013. Edit: Yes, it looks like it has been changed. There's a gear icon in the upper right of the market window. Clicking that brings up a menu from which you can highlight your orders.
If you have maxxed out refining skills, you can probably make decent money buying ore, refining it, and selling it. There's a lot of fledgling miners out there who can't refine well and just sell their ore.
So at 12:18 you say "Those 10 I bought have already sold" - maybe show us how, the profit etc... ?? Right now it's a 13 minute video showing you how to spend your money on things at the cheapest price without showing how this is then going to be profit....
+Mark Phillipson Idk, that seems pretty complicated. maybe he should make a video to show us how to do it, and then talk about it while hes doing it in the video. =3
.01 isking for 7.5% is for suckers. I get 10% at the worst and 20% routinely logging in once a day for 25 minutes, for 480mil an hour sustained at no risk. Prices move up AND down over and over again. You can park your orders and log in daily and still find a lot of them moved. And you can do far better buying materials and selling produced items than you will ever get flipping T2 for peanuts. This video is fail on so many levels you'd have to be a chump to try it.
With this much effort an time you are better off actually learnin how to trade something on the markets and the real money you make flick the odd $100 in to just buy the shit u want
emirhasa the principle behind a steady cashflow of 10m/d are the same as for 1B/d, the only difference is the amount of items and ISK you have working for you.

Well the whole point to station trading is to buy low and sell high meaning you're buying at below retail price and selling at retail
10:15 It's funny because he did exactly what you were trying to do, but you didn't notice. :P
Great videos, helped me a lot!
Subbed and eagerly awaiting for more knowledge to cram into my head.
Good one. Want to see more. :)
I'm the guy who finds the item thats been 0.01 ISKed to oblivion and buys it instead.

The amount of money is insignificant unless you are a dirty high sec peasant.
Until someone undercuts you by 0.01 isk then you've just fucked yourself out of profit.
Really good production quality, well done.
Oh the Bill O"Reilly reference. Never gets young; never gets old.
Just subscribed! Nice videos thanks for your time they helped me with some important stuff
+1 cant wait for part deux
well, you show how to buy stuff cheap. but for PROFIT, you should also show how to sell stuff expensive.
Thanks for the tips. This has really helped!
VERY WELL organized video and good narration skill. Shame you started with the .01 isk tactic. Would have loved to see a different take on trading for your first day. Subbed for great video Quality!
good job on creating a bunch of competition for yourself ;)

So I just started margin trading and i wanted to know how much do you float on margin or negative wallet. I see in your video you need more isk to cover then isk in your wallet. is there some % you follow so orders don't sell and things are moving?
You said you would post your watch list in the description? Where is it?
where is the list of items to put in quickbar that you promised :^(
Amazing, gonna get rich!!
how is babysitting your order on a 5min basis a passive income ?
How much isk can i make once i'm optimally running margin trading? How much time a week do i have to dedicate to my trading character?
Anything is possible if you work at it. =D

really helpful thanks!
Thank you so much.
Haha tide goes in tide goes out xD
wow wish i had bought a bunch then so i could sell them at todays price lol
inflation is a bitch, 2013 plex is 500mill..............end of 2014 900 mill...........2007 it was 300mill...
Even when you don't play that often, you can see the state of the economy by looking at the crazy prizetag of PLEX but how badly does it affect other commodities' prizes?
Now its 1.6b

I cant fix my Caldari standing. brokersfee on 2.5% skills full, could you make an video maybe what we could do to get better Standings :D
Trade in a freeport.

TheJedimaster07 tricks? but will it get me enough isk for plex though?
oh so what is this trick?
You'll still have to buy your account at some point, or you will still have demo account restrictions.
TheEliteGir nope plex makes you a full account, has for all my accounts
mine in venture :D, in low sec, could be quite a adventure.

how do you make your line in the orders go blue?
2:25 Settings tab, "mark my orders". Unless it's been changed since 2013.
Edit: Yes, it looks like it has been changed. There's a gear icon in the upper right of the market window. Clicking that brings up a menu from which you can highlight your orders.
Is this still viable in 2020?
do you recommend trading in ore or minerals.
it highly depends on your skills... and on the market situation. let me recommend maths, or a useful software you might found on eve forums ;)
If you have maxxed out refining skills, you can probably make decent money buying ore, refining it, and selling it. There's a lot of fledgling miners out there who can't refine well and just sell their ore.
How did he manage to set up his orders to highlight themselves in blue? That would be soo helpful
There's no link in the description of the quickbar list ; ( liar :DDD
at least you can do it while dual boxing, with zero risk of that account gettign podded. Your other one, however...
I remember when plex was sub 600 mil
I remember when it was 300
bittervet status achieved.
make more videos!
So at 12:18 you say "Those 10 I bought have already sold" - maybe show us how, the profit etc... ??
Right now it's a 13 minute video showing you how to spend your money on things at the cheapest price without showing how this is then going to be profit....
+Gavin Burke ... you then sell it for more than you paid for it... Just set up a sell order for the cheapest price of the sellers (by 0.01ISK)...
+Mark Phillipson
Idk, that seems pretty complicated. maybe he should make a video to show us how to do it, and then talk about it while hes doing it in the video. =3
MORE
September 2017 PLEX technical price: 1.5 bil
2020 now and plex is double or more
Post the watch list! :D
IT'S ALL SO CHEAP.... damn inflation
Lol, i see botters every day - they don't ban enough it seems
I am confuse on how you made money? I watched the whole video but i still dont understand how you got profit
or he just duped a bunch of guys into buying his massive stockpile of items:)
Anyone else keep trying to close the market window?
Are you rich yet

and get banned...

To be honest: far to much work for so little money. I prefer production where my money works without me changing prices every 3 mins...
Yeah, I see your point. Who wants to make a billion isk in profit a day for a couple hours of work?
Arkalius80 my ass is a billion isk a day for a cuople of hours.
emirhasa the principle behind a steady cashflow of 10m/d are the same as for 1B/d, the only difference is the amount of items and ISK you have working for you.
Goldreich Interhub No it's not.
emirhasa
Yes it is, what the fuck.
you said a lot without explaining anything...no sub here
OMG plex was 500 m now 1 b
