    The views were insane!
What a ride... Your reaction when you reached the summit says it all.
Those bikers are great people. As you said before (forward in the timeline, though) about truckers, most people that usually uses the road respect the cyclists.
    Great one, Diego.

Gotta say, This was a top notch experience. I was blown away by the beauty. Mostly met people who keep coming back as repeats. I would venture to say that it should be looked at as a NP

Just found this wonderful video! Enjoyed it so very, very much!! Thanks for posting!! I have cycled the Beartooth a few times, in my late 70s. Took me two days to cover the almost exact distance to Long Lake as in your video. I'm in my 80s now, and your video and enthusiasm and utter happiness will make me do this ride again, perhaps even this fall. It is truly a beautiful ride. I biked across Wyoming from Spearfish, SD, to Jackson Hole, in 2018. You are right about Power River Pass - it is difficult, as along the way you gain altitude, then lose some of it, only to have to regain it plus more. Thanks again, and I'm about to check out all of your videos!! Stay safe!!

Yeah, that Powder River Pass was legit. My friends, Bill and Jason, still talk about every time we hang. One of the most crushing climbs I've done. I sure hope you get out there and please be safe. You have ridden some amazing places and surely have many more to go do. Thank you for saying hello and watching this episode. Stay in touch.

Wow. What a great job at everything. I have been binge watching for the last few days. As a fellow bikepacker that has over 4000 miles hauling my red healer dog on a bob trailer I still have not accomplished what you have. I hope to cross the US some day myself. Please keep touring and putting out these great videos.

Surly Dog, thank you for reaching out and watching my channel. I hope you get a chance to ride across the US someday, but it sounds like you are already riding plenty. Im touring for over one month starting from Boston and now in Ohio heading to Michigan's UP. Season 2 starts tomorrow at 7:15pm as Im taking the time to edit this tour as well. I hope and plan on continuing to create this content so stick around, please. I wish you and your pooch to stay safe. Oh btw if I ever get a dog it would be a blue heeler. My lab girl passed a few years ago after 16 years with her and Im still not ready. All the best.

The best cycle touring videos I’ve seen. Have you finished this trip/ are there more videos to come? Are you following a particular cycle touring route from the ACA or making your own route across the states? Thanks for such amazing videos. Regards from the UK.

    • @FlyscoutRyder
      @FlyscoutRyder  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Thank you for your comment. I crossed the USA last summer in three months, 4,000 miles and 14 states recording the content you see in the episodes. My only planning was to start in South Carolina and go thru the Cumberland Gap and then follow the Missouri River as Louise and Clarke did to find the way to the west coast. I went day by day and week by week. After I got back home I started doing the editing. I have never done any of these things before. It just happened organically without thinking I would get this far. There will be a total of 30 or so episodes and I will try keep up creating them but they take a lot of time and I am now in the beginning of my work season which is crazy busy for me so hopefully I won't be skipping too many weeks. Thank you so much for watching. Stay tuned

@@FlyscoutRyder Thanks for your reply. I thought you were actually enroute doing the films as you travelled - my mistake.
I’ve watched a lot of cycle touring videos and can tell you that yours are fantastic, really enjoyable and I look forward to the next instalments. I’m glad there are more to come so good luck with the editing.
I’ve travelled the USA and done two coast to coast trips across both the southern and northern states backpacking by bus etc but not on a bicycle. My plan is to one day cross the middle states on my touring bike funds and time allowing. I’m considering the Trans America trail but haven’t a date in mind just yet.
Look forward to your next video. Best wishes.

I'm sure you have already answered this but what was the gears on your bike? It's clear that for you you had selected a pretty good combination. Thank you for asking and thank you for watching my episodes. My Crankset is an FSA Energy Modular. Its 46/30t so two sprockets and my cassette is a Shimano CS-HG800-11 (11-34). My shifters are mechanical/cable Ultegra. I love my bike and struggle with wanting to get another because I can only fit a 1.75" tire. I would like to be able to go a bit beyond a 2" but for now I'm attached and will keep at it with my rig. Hope this helps. Get out there and ride anywhere. The recumbent trike bikes are so cool. my neighbor has one. I think they are legit

@@FlyscoutRyder That's funny because I have a 2021 Trek Checkpoint SL that has the new GRX Gravel Specific power train. It has a 2x30-46 and an 11x11-34 too. I have replaced the 40c tires with 45c (1.77 inch) Pirelli Cinturato GRAVEL M (Mixed) Tire - Tubeless. They fit just fine. I'm biking poor chip and oil roads and river wash gravel roads. These tires are fantastic for these surfaces. They also work great in the sand and sticky mud I encounter some days around here. I am considering changing my cassette for an 11-40 for those longer or steeper climbs here along the Wabash River in West-Central Indiana. Are you a Fly Fishing Guide in FL too? When I was younger I used to build rods and fie flies fishing for NE Iowa Trout. Retired now. Maybe I should make some time and hire you? Roadtrip to FL?

Im a 28 year fly fishing guide in the Keys but unfortunately I’ve had my bookings for the season i fish been with the same anglers for at least over 15 years now so i don’t have openings. Im actually struggling with figuring out how to incorporate both my cycling and my guiding. Im committed to both so we’ll see. Im really enjoying the filming and creation of these episodes

@@diegorouylle2225 As an investor I've seen most often that people that are diversified in income never really shine in anything financially. NOT ALWAYS. Mostly. I would recommend focusing on growing your business in just one area if possible to give you the best chance of excelling financially. Income gives you options. For example: Biking you could create a website that gives you a place to sell products or services.bike related. An example might be books or training camps or travel advice in detail or equipment or bikes as an affiliate........ In fishing you might need to contract out another guide and boat. You'll just need to put protection in the contract. Maybe expand into a global guide service in the off season can double your annual guide income.... Money gives you options. Best of luck!
