It's so hard. Thai words are pretty easy but the tones are sooooo hard.
Ha ha ... come on, you can do it! Now you can follow me on Facebook >> facebook.com/learnthaibynatto/
Thai tones are harder than Mandarin tones
@@heavymetal9749 yes, unfortunately for the people trying to learn
yes i agree
Background music. Just what we need when practising tones.
Seriously. I thought I was the only one...PLEASE remove the unnecessary and distracting music.
This is great for me learning the tones, I can drop in for a few minutes at a time.
The language is difficult, but I like learning 🥰

I don't think so.I think Thai is harder than English.Don't you compare to pronoun in Thai or anything else?
groxnas minerx3354 As I am a tour guide, I can speak many languages. The secret to make languages to be easy is "learn and imitate the way that the native speaking". When I was young, English is very hard for me. One day when I know this technique, every this has changed! I can learn every languages super easy. Believe me, I am a tour guide. Let's try!!
Try cantonese then
thai language still easy if you have basic in mandarin tones
include 2 type of 3rd tones in mandarin (half 3rd tones, full 3rd tones)
In Greek, we have five (5) tones too.
• flat tone/absence of tone [τι, ἐν, εἰς]
• grave accent [τὶς, τὰ τὸ, τοὺς, ἓν]
• accute accent [τί, τάξις, πόλη]
• circumflex [τῶν, τοῦ, εἷς]
• inverted circumflex [‹Ποῦ;›, ‹Πῶς;›]
It’s like Mandarin. Words has tones.
It’s difficult if you came from a language that has no tone. 😞☹️
I agree with you, Lita. Please don't worry, Thais will understand in you because you are not a native. If you would like to speak like us, just listen a lot and a lot, it will help you to improve.
Actually I have a helping way and we actually use tones everyday in English. Now I came from learning Mandarin for 4 months and now learning Thai with it. But when asking a question your voice rises, hence a tone. When saying umm... Or thinking you usually say it low, another tone. And when saying no usually you say it fast and go high to low, hence a tone. I hope that helped a little
This helps me a lot! I’ve been learning Thai for a little over a year and I still haven’t gotten the tones down. I’m so glad I found this video! ขอบคุณค่ะ
I think learning the alphabet and writing helps learn the language more effectively

They look like same: ma mà má mã mả in Vietmamese. And exciting, "mã" in Vietnamese means "horse" too.
Omg I'm a Latin person so for me sometimes is a little bit difficult I think I would see this video a lot jajaja

The Thai words for beautiful, bad luck, and tax sound quite similar to their equivalents in Taiwanese (a southern Chinese dialect): sui (fallng tone) for beautiful, sue (high-level tone) for unlucky, and sue (low-level tone) for tax. Standard Chinese (Mandarin) based on the Beijing dialect doesn't use these words for beautiful and bad luck, but the Hokkien or Min-Nan dialects, under which Taiwanese and Teochew are subsumed, do. Many early Chinese immigrants in Thailand spoke Teochew. A quick check on Wiktionary confirms the Chinese etymology for 'bad luck' and 'tax'.

After Cantonese tones it's less scary
This 5 tones can't pronounce like tone makers in some consonants because in Thai language have 3 tones consonants but this vdo use ม (m) is be low-tone consonants how to pronounce มา(ma)=มา(ma) ม่า(m่a)=ม้า(m้a) ม้า(m้a)=ม๋า(m๋a). ม(m) is low-tone consonants single that not have down tone and rising tone but ก(g) is can pronounce 5 tones because ก(g) is be middle-tone consonants
ม can do if you do it like this >> มา หม่า ม่า ม้า หมา
Please remove the background music
Ka ka ka pet pet pet omg crazy. Some times I say becarfull horse. I mean dog. 5555
I cant rememberrr😂😂😂😂😂😂
So hard
you are beautiful
For me to speak the tone it will take around 10 years 🤣🤣
I think this could be a great video if it didn't play background music. Why on earth would you add additional distracting sounds to a video which has a sole purpose of studying the sounds of the tones in great detail. Can you please redo this video without any music?
When it is tonal it is difficult. Same with Mandarin.
I speak Mandarin, and I cannot differentiate the tones of Thai
I am a Spanish speaker and when she don't speak slow I don't get the difference
中文也有声调。你们觉得因为我已经学过普通话, 会帮我学泰语吗?
我認為泰國曾經是一個傳統的中國部落。
泰語與漢字中使用的語言類似,即1個單詞,1個含義。
但今天,泰國使用從高棉語和印地語開發的泰語字符。
泰國充滿了古老的印度文字。
但是,泰語語法最接近中文。
泰國人和中國人可以很容易地學習對方的語言。
IT'S SO HARD😭😭😭
Music was a bad idea. Japanese is one of the easier asian languages because they have no tones.
Really? Why a Japanese teacher in my university taught me that Japanese has tones same as Mandarin and Thai ??? It is a little difference, but it has tones.
ทำไมต้อง มา ม้า เสียงสูงด้วยเหมือนภาษาเหนืออะ
it is so hardd huhuhu
Yes, I know. Listening a lot will help you to separate, Dahlia.
Sounds do re mi fa so to me😂
Oh God.. this is even more difficult than Mandarin tones..
Some of the words just sound like Vietnamese, lmao
Really? I cannot speak Vietnamese. ^^
Not good to hear the difference, no explaining how to do.
ไม่ควรเอา ไม้ ่้๊๋ ไปผสมกับ อักษรโรมัน เพราะไม้เหล่านี้ มันจะเปลี่ยนโทนเสียงในอักษร สูง ต่ำ ทำให้ผันเสียงไม่ตรงรูป ควรใช้ - \ v / อธิบาย เดี๋ยวคนเอา M,S ไปเทียบ พื้นเสียง ม,ส,ซ ยิ่งงงไปใหญ่
hot damn, I've probably been offending loads of people with my thai..!
Probably😂 But they understand from context.
The music, please, so annoying!
Lady ga ga ga ga ga
If it is so important forus to speak clearly why dont YOU speak clearly
thai people called lady gā gâ
Stop that background music. So annoying when i concentrate learning
The high tone and rising tone is a little confusing 🥲
My native language only has three tones so I'm trying to get used to the rising and falling tones
