I'm Thai and speak very basic conversational Thai, but this is a great little instructional video. If more people can find it, I think this would be very helpful to many travelers going to Thailand for the 1st time. I actually shared it on my Facebook page too. Good job! Jack is great.
I've been studying Thai for a week now and yet there's still no Improvements XD btw I'm a filipino too but I speak Spanish but not that much took me months to learn learning 2 language at the same time is quite hard xd
I like this language! :) As a Mexican, my mother tongue is Spanish and I also grew up with English and now I'm at an intermediate level of Japanese so if I'm able to go through with Japanese (which I think is one of the Top 5 most difficult languages) I know I'll be able to learn Thai. I'm excited 😀. Also, LOVE how this language has its own unique alphabet! Very few languages have that :)
I really appreciate this video! I'll be traveling to Thailand in April and I have literally been watching this video about twice or three times a day just in order to learn some useful Thai before my arrival. Thank you!
Thanks for teaching, you're a big help of my relationship with Win Metawin. I'm Filipino and he's thai, were struggling cuz of language barrier. Thank you, you make our relationship more stronger! 💖
Currently in Thailand and despite me going many times, I've forgotten things like good morning and you're welcome. Excellent video. Every representative of each country should do videos teaching basic phrases like this.
Jack's instructions and enunciations are brilliant, easy to follow, and the tones are clear. Learning a few essential phrases certainly elevates the travel experience anywhere, especially in Thailand! At the very heart of most Thai people is the desire to be polite and helpful. When polite expressions are returned or initiated, what usually follows is sublime. Thank you for uploading your excellent work.
I used this video back in 2019 when I traveled to Thailand and my most used phrases were hello, thank you, do you speak English, yes, no, sorry/excuse me, and how much- I just wanted to come back and thank you for teaching us these essential phrases, I still remember most of them to this day and I cannot wait to visit Thailand again and brush up on some more Thai. Thank you ❤
I love this video! and the way Jack says the words is just amazing to me. He's got the voice and aura that you will respect him as your teacher. His approach is friendly but authoritative at the same time. We will be back in Thailand tomorrow for the 3rd time. And this will add more confidence in me. I love Thailand and its people, especially the food! Aroy! I will watch more of your vids next time.
The least you can do as a Tourist is to learn basic sayings. I always try to learn basic words if i travel to foreign countries. Thanks for helping me!

Thankyou for making this video, you are very easy to understand, I'm currently in Thailand and I will be watching this over and over. EVen though most Thai people I have met have spoken English, I will enjoy making the effort.

@@Sk1tz092 because most Thai are buddists. They believe that onion, garlic spicy flavor give you hot temper so they usually subtitute those flavor with cilantro or leeks. I know its weird. Buddist vegan is a bit different than other vegan.
Thank you for this video. It is good to have the English way of speaking translated for us. In England we do say “Good Morning” “Good Afternoon, Good evening” and “Good night”. We would not say “We are going to bed” to a stranger and if we said it to a friend or family member we would say “I am going to bed, Good Night”. This is not a lesson in how Thai people speak to each other, it is a lesson in translating the words the English use when they talk to each other and that is why it is so good. Thank you for the video, I have downloaded it and I am already getting on better when I use the basic Thai taught. One other thing, I looked for the videos of the trolls who comment that you are doing it wrong, they had none. The reason we are watching a video is for pronunciation, writing corrections in the comments helps no-one, although I am sure it probably gives the commenters a very brief feeling of supremacy.

TH-cam recommended this video after i subscribed to one of the thai language tutorials.. you spelled thai words the way you pronounced it..more easier to understand
When i watched this video i laughed a lot because some phrases in thai when it pronounced it has the same of some filipino phrases but it has different meaning and spelling just when it pronounced they sound alike :)... but thank you for this video :) it helps a lot to know some new phrases in different language :)
I watch Thai dramas everyday on u tube and i love Thai language very much saint P is my fav actor and there r many i watched almost all the series im really dreaming to go thailand
This is an incredibly engaging and informative video! These are really useful phrases that I can implement into my daily life conversations. Currently I am making good use of Ling and Pocket Thai Master apps to fully grasp the Thai language. They're fantastic language learning apps and perfect for anyone looking to master a new language at their own pace.
Because of being addiction nowadays watching BL Series especially the 2gether The Series, they brought me here to learn basic words and soon to travel in their country Loving from the philippines🇵🇭
VERY VERY GOOD. It should be all one needs for a months visit. I like the 2 and 3 word phrases best. Not the 1 liners ( because I am a idiot ) Jack, you are the best. I am taking this video to Thailand and I hope the Thai ladies at the food stalls don't start to laugh at me.
Ben Person one thing to consider. you will get respect if you try nut screw it up,like asking for a bowl of white or mountain instead of rice . but if you speak too well they will all be suspicious
Thank you so much for this helpful video! I am not a native speaker of Thai but I lived in Thailand for quite some time, so I got to know the daily use of this beautifulๆๆๆ language quite well. I would like to provide some additional information to save you guys from typical your-language-to-thai-translation-mistakes I made. 55555 (That's haha in Thai btw.) To be honest, I never actually heared a single person using the phrases proposed for "Good morning" and "Good night" in this video. Those are very old, almost sacred phrases that you maybe get to hear in history-movies but never in everyday life. If anything, people rather use Sawadee, no matter which time of the day. Furthermore, Châi doesn't actually mean "Yes!" but rather "That's true." in mots cases. If for example someone asks you like eating Guaytiau (ชอบกินก๋วยเตี๋ยวไหม - literally: like eat Guaytiau question-marker) and you answered Châi, you'd just get a confused look (followed by sincere laughter if you manage to resolve the misunderstanding). The correct way to confirm a question is to say the verb of the question followed by a suitable politeness-particle, for example ชอบค่ะ (literally: like-kha) for the question above. Generally speaking, you're save if you use your preferred politeness-particle for general affirming questions or declarative sentences. Or just nod your head and smile politely! Have fun speaking Thai, every little effort is absolutely worth it!

saleawy hey, I'm jack. Sorry I don't think I should teach anymore thai because I offended a lot of thai people. They get so mad and ashamed of me. Some even think that I'm not thai. Anyways I'm expert at cursing though lol
wow glad i found you, i will try and remember some of these to speak to my half thai half English grand daughter wow, wow,
I never say "Mai-phed"
Always "Phed mak"!
I only remember "say it with me" and sawadeeka.
this pop in my recommendation im watching 2gether the series
I wanna learn Thai because of 2gether the series haha
Same😂
TH-cam recommended this video after i subscribed to one of the thai language tutorials.. you spelled thai words the way you pronounced it..more easier to understand
When i watched this video i laughed a lot because some phrases in thai when it pronounced it has the same of some filipino phrases but it has different meaning and spelling just when it pronounced they sound alike :)...
but thank you for this video :) it helps a lot to know some new phrases in different language :)

อรุณสวัสดิ์ อาจจะไม่จำเป็นมากคนไทยส่วนใหญ่ใช่คำว่าสวัสดีมากกว่าครับ
This is an incredibly engaging and informative video! These are really useful phrases that I can implement into my daily life conversations. Currently I am making good use of Ling and Pocket Thai Master apps to fully grasp the Thai language. They're fantastic language learning apps and perfect for anyone looking to master a new language at their own pace.
This is very handy. Kob kuhn krup!
+JP Goes Global Mai pen rai! :)
คนเป็นชาติเดียวในโลกมังครับ ที่พูดไป แล้วยิ้มในดวงตาด้วย มันเป็นเสน่ห์ อย่างมาก ชอบวีดีโอนี้ครับ ,

Global Donnica Thank you💕
Because of being addiction nowadays watching BL Series especially the 2gether The Series, they brought me here to learn basic words and soon to travel in their country
Loving from the philippines🇵🇭
TH-cam after I watched all the bl series: here you go dude, learn a little bit of Thai so we don't have to put subtitles everywhere
ชอบมากคะ ที่คนอังกฤษพูดไทยชัดมากค เหมือนคนไทยมากที่ไทยเรียนภาษาอังกฤษที่อังกฤษเรียนภาษาไทย
เห็นคนอังกฤษพูดไทยอล้วน่ารักมากคะ😊😊😊
I’m Thai🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭
I realy like that you say it in english and then he say in thai.
I converted this to mp3 and now listen to it on my phone.
I have been trying to learn thai for along time so listening to your video helps, thank you keep up the good work well done
Thank you, it is useful indeed. But is missing the very important word: „PLEASE”.
Lol just add khrub or ka that’s enough, after people did something then end it with thank you
น่าจะเติมคำว่า"ครับ"ในทุกประโยคเช่น " เท่าไรครับ" "ไม่เป็นไรครับ" ก็น่าจะดีมากนะคะ ขอบคุณค่ะ
I bet this was in your recommendations because you watch waaaay too many BLs
Thank you! I'm going there this month for a few days, so I wanted to learn basic courtesy phrases :D
Why is this on my recommendations?
Ohhh maybe the FBI set it up after seeing how inlove and hapoy I was while watching Thai BL HAHAHAHAH
I am Thai but I’ve been watching this video 😀
Adorable! 😄
I'm coming for you BL series actors❤️😂😂
im really a fan of 2gether the series and so im watching this
VERY VERY GOOD. It should be all one needs for a months visit.
I like the 2 and 3 word phrases best.Not the 1 liners ( because I am a idiot )
Jack, you are the best.
55555 (That's haha in Thai btw.)
To be honest, I never actually heared a single person using the phrases proposed for "Good morning" and "Good night" in this video.
No need to say Airport in Bangkok.
just say "Suwarnabhoom" or "Dong Muang" and the taxi will take u there!!!!
Great video! Khap khun Khrup! :) Pom rak Thailand mahk! Jing jing. :)
