Great pickups! I would love to visit The Mall Of America some day. I need to pick up Perfect Days eventually after hearing what you said about it. Great video!

Fassbinder is a fascinating person to dive into, essential in all film education. He was actually most famous for his theater plays. Id suggest when getting into Fassbinder to start with Criterion's BDR trilogy. Have fun!

Perfect Days is excellent! Koji Yakusho is probably my favourite modern Japanese actor, see also Cure, 13 Assassins, and World of Kanako which is probably one of the most insane and unhinged performances I’ve ever seen 😊

      I also picked up:
      Trainspotting
      Secret Sunshine
Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down
      Bound
      Blood Simple
      Lady Snowblood

I thought Perfect Days was sublime, his performance was excellent considered he barely spoke a couple of words for two thirds of the film.

@@letstalkcriterion I came away feeling similar to how I feel after an Ozu or maybe even Bresson watch. It's a hard thing to do and I loved it.
