      I'm actually in front of one with that same problem. What do you do with the other 2 wires on that?

    • @OcRefrig
      @OcRefrig  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The wire that went to the low pressure control now goes to position 3 on the solid state timer. You take off the bit of wire that is existing on Pin 3 off the solid state timer and toss in the trash. Set timer all pins to on. Done !

    Amazing tip on how to bypass those low pressure/freeze time initiator switch. Quick question, can this be done to all the ICE series IOMs? Also is there a specific wiring connections i need to make when bypassing the pressure switch, im new to ice machines so I love to learn as much as i can, thanks!!

      I would think so. No , just bypass control. Not used.

    • @Koolkids89
      @Koolkids89 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I tried the bypass however it caused the machine to over run even when the harvest curtain micro switches were engaged.

      Time one ice cycle & just put that amount of time on the timer and your done.

    Hi, I did it. Now the ice machine makes ice one time, dumps it and after that doesn't go into freezing mode, the evaporator remains hot. Can you help me?

    • @OcRefrig

      Congrats !
      Un-Plug the ice machine from the wall or turn off the circuit breaker to do this next thing.
      Most likely the harvest assist motor is not turning all the way & completing its cycle. Could be loose from the wall or a wire fell off also.
      the Micro switch has to rest in the dip in the brass turning part to go back into freeze cycle.
      the Harvest assist motor assy - is located behind the evaporator plate in the center. thier is a probe that pushes the ice off in the center of the evaporator.
      You will notice a 1/4" hole in the center of the evaporator plate with a Probe in it . kind of like a pencil ✏️ sized probe.
      The harvest assist motor assy & clutch
      must be secure to the back wall & the clutch on the top can be turned by hand in one direction only. You can try turning it in both directions with your hand gently to see which way it will turn.
      turn it so the micro switch is the low part of the brass clutch.
      then --- Plug the ice machine back into the wall or turn on the circuit breaker.
      Then --- switch machine to ice mode and see if it makes more than one batch.
      also --- make sure the front cover top right arm is under the " Secret lever "
      / Micro switch to Make ice machine start a freeze cycle.
      see video --- " secret lever "
      See playlist --- ice o matic.

      @@OcRefrig This ice machine has 2 evaporators, I have replaced one harvest assist before. When the ice machine works with pressure control, everything works properly, one evaporator doesn't drop ice only. When I bypass the pressure control, both evaporators drop ice, but the ice machine remains in hot cycle

    • @OcRefrig
      @OcRefrig  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rinatgaleev513 sounds like one of the harvest assists are not turning properly. probably the one that has not been replaced.
      both harvest assists micro switch must rest in low point on brass part to re-start freeze cycle again.

    Would the bridge thickness vary with temperature much? I have a unit this low pressure control is becoming sketchy on, but the ambient temperature can be kind of cool in the mornings, and hot by early afternoon.

      @@OcRefrig I settled on bumping the low pressure from 35psi to 40psi, and lowering the timer to about 40 seconds. I tried turning it slightly higher, what would probably be 1 or 2 psi, but then it didn't go into harvest at all, the reason I was there in the first place, so I turned it back to 40psi (not normal behavior obviously). The bridge is like almost 1/4", but they said they don't care, and it's been reliable for last 5 days, and production is solid since I combed and cleaned the condenser. If they're happy, I'm happy. Thanks for reply.

      @@maynardr6 i Went that Route for a While too. ( about a Year ) i think. as the Condenser Gets dirty it Will Quit again. as the compressor gets weaker it wont pull down in the suction toactivate the low press control.
      as it gets hotter & condenser gets dirty suction wont pull down again on old units.
      Best thing i ever did was Just bypass low press control & click all pins on timer & Clean condenser with Hot Water backwards.
      its Gets over 90 in this location and this is the only way the machine has been dependable.

      I'm from Brazil, I have a machine like this and I have the same problem, I didn't understand your video, correct me if I'm wrong:
      1- disconnect the 2 wires from the low pressure valve.
      2- I connect 1 of them directly to the timer
      3- put them all in the on position.
      Is this correct or did I forget something?

      @@OcRefrig Thanks a lot because the ice o matic I have takes about 45 minutes to harvest and sometimes it is too thick..I assume it is the temperature the machine is in that affects that.

      Your condenser is dirty. clean it / wash it with hot water froma garden hose & your ice production will go up & it will work better.
      Remove all ice from the bin before doing so as dirty water may get the bin.
      if u have alot of ice in bin. Double line a clean trash can with trash bags and transfer ice to trash cans.
      Store trash cans in a walk in freezer to preserve ice.
      Condenser can be Vacuumed with a Brush head , Blown backwards with air , Washed with hot water & a Degreaser if greasy. , wash with hot water , Degreaser for best results.
      can also be scrubbed with stiff brush vertically not against fin direction.
      un plug ice machine from power source so u don't get shocked.

      iceomatic ice machines --- the ice series machines should make ice in about 17-21 minutes & then when harvest valve opens it should take 1-2 minutes to drop the ice.

    hola no hablo ingles pero mas o menos le entendi a lo que estas explicando,una sugerencia le hace falta una limpieza profunda a la maquina e incluso las aspas del motor del condensador se miran sucias para que halla una buena transferencia e intercambio de calor deben de estar limpias y al parecer tu timer lo tienes mal programado a lo cual veo el hielo un poco pasado de tiempo lo miro muy solido esto trae como consecuencia el desprendimiento de los alaves del evaporador no dejes que se pase del tiempo de la cosecha ,saludos desde mexico y suerte con sus trabajos
