Rather than unscrewing the filter and having water run out, you can first drain it using the little rubber tube next to the filter trap.

Best to empty it before AND after a tub cleaning.
Unfortunatly, the little tube doesn't really get all the water out and I find it pretty useless. 😏 by screwing the filter, alot of water run out.

Thanks and by the way, that little hose to the left of the bottom filter is for draining the water before you unscrew the filter, that way, water doesn't come pouring when you unscrew the filter.

So we stick a dishwasher tide pod in the washer and turn on clean tub??? Is there a specific soap of it??

Hi dishwasher tide pod is ok. The long tube is for manual draining. That’s only for emergency draining when the pump is not working and has something blocking it

Don’t use a dishwashing tablet they are FAR more caustic than laundry powder or even bleach. Bleach on a 60 degree cycle so much easier and perfectly clean
2 cups vinegar and 1/2 cup baking soda. Gets rid of all smells and helps to sanitize
4:00 You know how you can use that hose thing (instead of the cap next to it) to drain remaining water but doesn't the tip of that hose have to be at a level lower than the machine? In that case, you shouldn't place the washer on the floor (instead stack it on some stool), is that correct?
you can use the hose yes but you still need to undo the cap as something might be obstructing in the pump.
whenever i pull that hose on my washer, nothing comes out until i unscrew that cap for filter then a bunch of smell water comes out, its always so messy in my laundry room when i do this

Just take it out (depress the blue pad that says 'push' on it, also described in comment below) and clean it with a soft brush under water. You can also use an old washing up brush and clean the inside of the water compartment of it has some residue.
How old is model LG wm3455hs? Do you know? Is it worth buying used for $300?
Fair price just make sure you put a new pump and check the spider and bearings before you buy it

depends how often you wash, and how much washing powder/ softner you put in. The more of these you put in the more frequent you need to do it. I would say after every 40 cycles/ 6 months
What is the push button for in the washing dispenser near the fabric softener part
thats for removing the soap drawer to clean it. if you press it and pull the drawer out it will come

@@bernadettemizzi7526 I always take the drawer out where you put the detergent and softener and or bleach in. If you don't moisture will stay in there and get moldy. I usually take mine out shake it outside or in the tub and let it set upside down on a towel then I take a wash rag and clean the inside part of the machine where the drawer came out of. I also like to wipe down the inside of the rubber seal and the door and then leave the door cracked open. I've had mine for over a year and I've yet to have any smell at all

@@askmrwashywashy bleach and vinegar mixed is a huge nono. Please no one mix these, use 2 cups vinegar 1/4 cup baking soda and it will clean smells safely
Every 6 months what ?? I do it every 30 cycle like the machine in the app say! I use one times clorine bleach other dishwasher tablets other citric acid! And i use hot wash and powder detergent for whites, for towels for bedding every week at least 3 hot wash and powder no need to clean nothing the machine will remain very clean! Chose a good powder detergent with oxygen from 15 to 30 for cent
Yeah depends how often you wash. The bleach and white vinegar mix is not good to do regularly that’s why I said 6months
