    Handy one for the loader when loading a bale with the spike, put the loader up and point the spikes down into the flat of the bale. Reverse back slowly and move the spike back up to level, less handling of the bale then, and no more pressure on the tractor either. You won't know yourself with the loader. Game changers

    Adrian, you should put a soft ride attachment on the loader, it will soften a lot of the bounce when travelling over bumps and cushion the load. Less stress on the loader, tractor and driver as a result. Aprox €150 to buy (plus fitting) you wont regret it.

    Hey really nice video and a really nice tractor! But I noticed, that the threepointhitch in the back is not fixed... it wobbles around for example at 10:45 ... I always lock it for moving bales with the spikes. It doesnt wear out the threepoint hitch and it makes it easier to aim the spikes :D
    just my two cents, but nice video anyway :D

  • @lukeharcus6527
    @lukeharcus6527 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    The boss mans case 4230 has a loader from a nash 5150 on it so that loader would be a piece o cake for the ole 895. Grandad when he worked the loader on his 4240 over winter I believe he said he mixed antifreeze in with water in the back wheels and a weight on the link arms just so it was a smaller weight he had on the link arms

    • @IFarmWeFarm
      @IFarmWeFarm  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      derredriver the stabiliser on the case are a disaster, we’ve tried several different types but can’t get any that will work will all our machinery, we have it setup now for the splitter so there’s no movement but when every we attach something else we will have to change the stabiliser to a different type. It’s a nuisance

    No bother to it, we used to draw and load the wrapper and stack close to 10k bales a year with a 995 with the same loader. No ballast weight, load your trailer in the the field and go, the only difference was we had the high speed gear kit fitted to the hydraulic pump. Small tractor by todays standards but still a great machine.

    If ye were to upgrade the case, a tractor I'd recommend is the same silver 100.6, there a really good tractor and is quite a big tractor for around 100 hp, she is a 6 cylinder straight tractor meaning shes plenty of power, plus a loader fitted to her and a double bale handler and shed have the bales home in no time, mind you ours hasn't a loader but we farm sheep fine without it

    • @thatmrking
      @thatmrking 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes but they would be considerably more expensive, plus the same is a really reliable and simple tractor, theres hardly any electrics involved apart from lights,ac,radio ect and the speed shifter which uses a button to toggle a hydraulic speed shifter, very easy to understand

Also little tip for you with the bales on the front loader, lift up your loader above the bale, tilt your spikes down all the way drop it down into the bale and drive back while also dropping the loader and tilting up the spikes. Will you bother with replacing the front right wheel for using the shear grab
