This scene cracks me up because it’s true, me and my friends growing up would put down the Carpenters and laugh about it but if you ever went through their music collections you’d find the Carpenters hidden in there somewhere. John Lennon was correct, Karen Carpenter had the voice of an angel.
Allen Greene And more singers/bands like Karen Carpenter aka The Carpenters. They did this song they're singing, called Superstar. Karen died due to complications from anorexia nervosa in '83, she was 33.
I'll never forget the day MTV announced he died from "Sppedballs" like soon many other celeberties and close frieds....At least I never died from them....yet....
Farley is sorely missed. His physical and slapstick comedy talents rivaled any before or since. It was without cynicism and condescension. All were welcome in the tent. ❤️❤️ And any child of the 70's knows this song word for word or they're lying.
Everytime I watch when they both sing “I love you” at the end I think the world is singing together with Chris. We do love you, and you’re missed everyday
I’m forever grateful ❤️❤️❤️to who ever wrote the carpenters in this movie. My youngest son thought he hated the carpenters, but when he saw this movie it changed everything.
Love this scene so much and love the Carpenters. I'm amazed by how many men I know who love Karen Carpenter, her voice was gorgeous but it seems so random
Haha! Still the funniest scene in the movie. I always catch Tommy just peeking at Richard and licking his lips before he goes into singing, like he’s just really aching to do it, but doesn’t want to do it alone.
"I can live with it if you can" "Suit yourself" They secretly LOVED this song and weren't the least bit embarrassed to sing along. Good for them!! I'm always embarrassed to admit how much I love the BeeGees and Xanadu..hehe
Watched this everyday for like three months my wife and I first got married. We're knocking on 19 years and I'm waiting for all of the kids to move out, so I can go back to just watching this all over again, everyday...this and Twister!!!
MOST WERE AFRAID TO ADMIT THEY LOVED THE 'CARPENTERS' IN THE ERA OF HARD CORE ROCK INCL. ACID ROCK & HATE/RAGE BLACK PANTHERS/ HIPPIES ERA > BUT THEY SOLD MORE RECORDS THAN ANYONE FOR NEARLY 1 DECADE > SO SOMEBODY LOVED THEM! ;-)
Hey, if you're going to say I didn't put the right kind in, you're wrong. I used 10-W-30, and besides, motor oil would have nothing to do with this accident.
Love the disgusted look Farley gives Spade for liking that song...and how he "drives" without looking at the road for like 18 seconds LOL. He was pure gold, man. Can we make it official if it wasnt already? Chris Farley a greater comedy legend then his hero Belushi??Look how many laughs this lovable bastard gave us in such a short time...You´re cherished forever, big guy.
I lovd all of this, but Belushi had the chops to have made it as a dramatic actor of he had really wanted to. Not sure about Farley. That said, Farley's comedy I think holds up much better than Belushi's, which consists of a lot of mugging for the camera.
This makes me happy every f****** time I watch it rest in peace Chris Farley it's so sad that you were so sad yourself because you made so many people so happy. 🐐
I tell my coworkers if they can't embarrassingly belt out Superstar at the top of their lungs, we can't work peacefully together. I don't need that toxic negativity in my life.
None of Chris Farley's other movies ever were able to capture the charm and humor of this one. So many quotable scenes and lines. Laugh out loud funny scenes throughout.
This is one FUNNY A^^ MOVIE! Chris Farley was a naturally gifted comedic actor. "Don't you remember you told me you loved me baby?" BABY, BABY, BABY, BABY- OH BABY!
Thats what chris farley would say on his show interviewing Stars he admired. Like remember when you did those films with david spade? And you sang that karen carpenter song together? That was awesome!
A lot of people say this is the best scene or the best moment in film, this just may be the best, it is absolutely hilarious and it never gets old. When Spade does the mocking of the classic turn in the song with that da da da da 😄
If that car, truly is a vintage GTX, with a standard 440 cu in engine (375 HP) and a 6 pack carb, and not just a bastardized "Fury", or a "Satellite" what a shame! Hilarious scene though! Neither one wants to admit that it's not the lamest thing ever, but they sure do listen! I've never been highly ashamed of any music that I ever listened to. Even though I am mostly kick-ass and prog rock rooted, I've always loved the Carpenters!
Because of this scene, I ALWAYS sing along to Superstar.
I’ve downloaded it
DONT YOU REMEMBER YOU TOLD ME YOU LOVED ME BABYYYYY
I laughed so hard at this scene it was Hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
SAME
I always think of David Spade's ad lib at 0:40
RIP To 2 Superstars, Karen Carpenter & Chris Farley
For a minute there I thought you were gonna say "RIP Chris Farley and David Spade's Career" lmao!
Kevin Prima you forgot herion too! Cociane and herion aka speedball!
jeremy hunt a gentleman and a scholar you are, sir.
RIP Brian Dennehy
This moment is epic but will become legendary when David spade dies
"I can live with it if you can."
“Suit Yourself”
Everyone knows there is that one song that you secretly like but are embarrassed to admit it.
+porpus99 LOL! It's such a guy thing too in this scene at first when they are in initial denial.
+porpus99 like "Seasons in the Sun".
Oh God no, that song is horrible ("Seasons in the Sun"). Fuckin' terrible.
A thousand miles by Vanessa Carlton.
Karen Carpenter. Best female singer of all time. And one hell of a drummer.
This a movie everyone should see before they die
I so agree with you.
Totally agree its my go to movie when I need a good laugh!
I died and I seen it
Dana R great comment congrats...
This movie is Criminally underrated
This scene cracks me up because it’s true, me and my friends growing up would put down the Carpenters and laugh about it but if you ever went through their music collections you’d find the Carpenters hidden in there somewhere.
John Lennon was correct, Karen Carpenter had the voice of an angel.
We're all Carpenter's fans. If you say your not your kidding yourself. Lol. So funny.
"DONT YOU REMEMBER YOU TOLD ME YOU LOVED ME BABY!!! 😂😂
Even the hardest rockers love this song.
everyone loves the carpenters
We need guys like Chris Farley in comedy today.
We had Rob Ford for a few years. But you're right.
Edward Terry Kevin James is good but he's no Chris Farley.
Kevin James COMPLETELY SUCKS ASS COMPARED TO CHRIS FARLEY! !!
"....i loveee youuu....AHHHHhH!" Hahah
Pat Coniff .. hilarious, lol
😂😂😂😂
This is probably my fav comedy growing up...Tommy boy is a classic .
I still miss chris farley in 2019.
I got stopped halfway into 2018
RIP Karen Carpenter and Chris Farley!
“This song sUcks” where are the actors like him nowadays?
The Carpenters - Superstar. You know you want to look it up. :p
Thanks
Hell yeah!!!
Great song.
Nah you can change the song man ....
Farley is sorely missed. His physical and slapstick comedy talents rivaled any before or since. It was without cynicism and condescension. All were welcome in the tent. ❤️❤️ And any child of the 70's knows this song word for word or they're lying.
1:15 makes me burst out into laughter every time!
Just when you think it’s over... 😂 🚛
I love how the hood comes up again 😂
Karen Carpenter had a great sense of humor and would have loved this 😄
I'm sure Richard cracked up when he saw it.
❤ that's awesome!
Can’t get enough of Karen carpenters voice 😢
The original carpool Karaoke😂😂😂😂 Love this movie.
The face he makes when he gazes around the hood at 1:01 kills me every fucking time.
For me it's Spade's eyes at 0:46
Love this scene so much and love the Carpenters. I'm amazed by how many men I know who love Karen Carpenter, her voice was gorgeous but it seems so random
A great song by an all-time great singer.
The looks on their faces "Talk about lame. Haha, totally." 😂
If someone changes the station when Karen Carpenter is singing , they just might get their hand broken...
And rightly so.
Haha! Still the funniest scene in the movie. I always catch Tommy just peeking at Richard and licking his lips before he goes into singing, like he’s just really aching to do it, but doesn’t want to do it alone.
I laaawv yoooou... AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
🤣🤣
"I can live with it if you can"
"Suit yourself"
They secretly LOVED this song and weren't the least bit embarrassed to sing along. Good for them!! I'm always embarrassed to admit how much I love the BeeGees and Xanadu..hehe
and you're a woman; imagine for two grown up guys travelling together to admit that!
Watched this everyday for like three months my wife and I first got married. We're knocking on 19 years and I'm waiting for all of the kids to move out, so I can go back to just watching this all over again, everyday...this and Twister!!!
God Bless The Carpenters.....+++....
This movie really is funny af
This NEVER gets old! xD
Every time I listen to Superstar by the Carpenters, I just laugh because of this scene.
😂😂😂😂 I love the Carpenter's!!!!
I love this song, 'Superstar.' Not ashamed to admit Carpenters and Luthers versions
0:36 hands down best scene
I’m pretty sure that scene is the reason we’re all here
MOST WERE AFRAID TO ADMIT THEY LOVED THE 'CARPENTERS' IN THE ERA OF HARD CORE ROCK INCL. ACID ROCK & HATE/RAGE BLACK PANTHERS/ HIPPIES ERA > BUT THEY SOLD MORE RECORDS THAN ANYONE FOR NEARLY 1 DECADE > SO SOMEBODY LOVED THEM! ;-)
CARPENTERS RULE RIP KAREN
Because of Tommy boy, I discovered "superstar "🥰
Perfect comedic timing. Film school students, take note...
Hey you
Pretty little Marta. What a nice surprise to see you here!
You found Mi ha ha ha
I'm obsessed with the exchange between 0:17 and 0:31. Perfect.
whats funny is that even when the hood went up, the song would still be playing XD
I need to find this on streaming so I can watch it again all the way to the end it's freaking hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Favorite scene
I love how the first 2 songs are practically indistinguishable from each other.
What are the first two songs? They sound like 90's alternative/grunge-ish
"Hey! I was just thinking. When we stopped for gas this morning, I think it was you who put the oil in."
Hey, if you're going to say I didn't put the right kind in, you're wrong. I used 10-W-30, and besides, motor oil would have nothing to do with this accident.
@@orbison True. But you can't latch the hood too well, if you don't take the can out, you no-selling waste of space, I swear to God, you're worthless!

Oh look, Prehistoric Forest...
We did guess that movie trivia based on songs. This song came up and I guessed it immediately. I love Chris Farley. RIP.
No shame in that. Epic song is epic
Thanks TH-cam Recommendations for the laugh before work
R.I.P --- Chris Farley & Karen Carpenter
One of my fav. Scenes and funny one too. And r.i.p. chris. Also i miss the 90s
These two were great together
I miss you so much Chris Farley. 🥺🖤❤️🩹
I mean... Karen Carpenter has the most beautiful voice in the world
Karen Carpenter brings them together. Who knew?
A brilliant choice of songs to set up the unforgettable image of the deer and their fright.
story of every guys life who has been in a car.
It's one of those songs that you don't what to admit you actually like to your friends.
This makes me happy every f****** time I watch it rest in peace Chris Farley it's so sad that you were so sad yourself because you made so many people so happy. 🐐
0:50 The way Chris Farley says "I love you" Hahaha
I tell my coworkers if they can't embarrassingly belt out Superstar at the top of their lungs, we can't work peacefully together. I don't need that toxic negativity in my life.
The 90s had the greatest to duos of all timeChris Farley and David spade and Keenan and Kel
Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker in Rush Hour
If 2020 were represented by a scene from a movie, it'd be this one.
I mean this is an amazing song. I have their Gold album in the car.
I love Karen Carpenter! AND chris farley!!! :(
You mean karen and chris Farlenter?
One of the funniest movies in history
ha never noticed Spade singing along with the horns 0:40 lol
msmooreski1 i noticed that when i was 8 lol when i first saw this movie
And he was in perfect pitch, too! LOL
None of Chris Farley's other movies ever were able to capture the charm and humor of this one. So many quotable scenes and lines. Laugh out loud funny scenes throughout.
The scene at the end: "RT, I lost my virginity to your daughter for crying out loud! Rob, you were there." I died laughing at that.
I love how they both give one last peek at the radio before giving in and singing in unison in the next scene.
🤣🤣🤣
This is one FUNNY A^^ MOVIE! Chris Farley was a naturally gifted comedic actor. "Don't you remember you told me you loved me baby?" BABY, BABY, BABY, BABY- OH BABY!
The Carpenters - Superstar
Best part of the movie
I thought it was the boat scene where Farley doesn't sail away
ikr
2nd funniest. 1st funniest is Tommy changing his clothes on the plane
Chris Farley was awesome
Thats what chris farley would say on his show interviewing Stars he admired. Like remember when you did those films with david spade? And you sang that karen carpenter song together? That was awesome!
I miss guys like Chris Farley
What a classic everyone should watch it . Every time i go on a business trip i think of this anyone feel the same way?
I’ve never laughed so hard in my life 😂😂
Hahahaha! This never gets old.
For some reason this moment hits me hard now as I miss the 90's so much. I'll sit and sing these songs when I watch the movie hahaha. Man good times.
My favorite scene!!
This whole movie is pure fucking gold!! 🤣🤣
My dad and I were talking about this scene and my dad mentioned they could've just stopped the car, but I pointed out that wouldn't have been funny.
A lot of people say this is the best scene or the best moment in film, this just may be the best, it is absolutely hilarious and it never gets old. When Spade does the mocking of the classic turn in the song with that da da da da 😄

fav comedy movie EVER
This movie is a masterpiece
This scene is hysterical but it also makes me angry and sad because of the idiotic ways in which Chris Farley and Karen Carpenter died.
Miss you tommyboy
❤ me and my dad loves this movie and this part
This is legit the funniest thing I’ve ever seen
PURE COMEDY GENIUS. From the writer, director, Farley (RIP), & Spade. This scene can save lives. 😆 😂 😝

My hallucinations! Great song!!!
I miss Chris Farley so much I wish we could bring him back
Someone said they wanna take Chris Farley's DNA from his grave, and clone him! I don't blame them, because we all want him back!
I am thoroughly convinced that this is the greatest movie ever made.
It is
Dirty Work is a close second with another legendary Chris Farley performance.
RIP Chris 🌹
RIP Karen 🌷
It's definitely time to watch this movie again .🤣 David Spade and Chris Farley were one of the best comedy teams of all time.
