The comedic genius of this scene is just hysterical and I wonder if there was just some good old-fashioned improv during the scene because the commentary from Tommy is just hysterical. So you factor in the actual scenario of the scene where they're trying to make a sale to keep the company afloat and Tommy is feeling the pressure of making the sales in the quota for his dad's company that he doesn't know much about which is funny in itself, then to focus more in the scene. Richard, who knows is ins and outs, doesn't resonate well on a human to human perspective, so Tommy sees the opportunity to take matters in his own hands and that dialogue is what he comes out with, he uses an example of everyday life to try to make a sales pitch while using classic cars which are probably valuable and obviously not meant to play with and he doesn't even think two seconds about that. He's just in character, absolutely hilarious!
