Can I be real for a sec? I'm lowkey tired of all these social media generated terms and concepts; soft life this, clean girl aesthetic that, main character this, so on and so forth. It's hard to keep up with the new terms every week and it's starting to sound like noise. Social media is not real life but spend long enough on it and your brain will convince you that it is. I'm going on a hiatus lol
I agree, I feel like I am so past these terms. These terms are immature and Worldly. Can we get back to talking about balance, Gods plan, intentional living... This is not at Courtney, as she understands these concepts. I think soft life is a distraction and a pit for the misinformed.
For me soft life and luxurious living is buying fresh broccoli over frozen. Drinking bottled water instead of tap. Walking instead of driving when necessary. Eating fish/ seafood in restaurants instead of meat. I not trying to break my bank and I’m not part of the 1% making 100k + unfortunately so I’ve adjusted my choices. I still have to work very hard and plan my enjoyment. My soft life is found in Christ so no skin off my noses 😅♥️

As much as I hate to share this, frozen vegetables are picked and frozen at their PEAK, meaning they are supposed to have more notrients than fresh. I'm still grappling with this concept even though it was discussed in grave detail in a basic nutrition course for my culinary degree. But guess what, you better believe I choose fresh whenever possible. Bcz frozen corn is an absolute joke!
To me a soft life is going to therapy, healing my trauma and generational wounds…playing basketball with my son on the weekend and going for walks in the park….not really an aesthetic but a lifestyle
Very true about seasons... a lot of the women on social media living their soft lives are in their THIRTIES and yet we are in our TWENTIES - we shouldn't delay enjoying life but we also shouldn't feel pressure to have certain luxuries that people who are ten years ahead of us are having x

There's a version of me that wouldn't have gotten through this videos because it's too real. The new true to myself me knows I needed to hear that. I don't need a monthly massage, I need to meditate at home... I just don't need to spend my whole wage to feel I'm spoiling myself, it's a cover up for internal issues that I can work on through mindfulness, prayer, budgeting and being true to authentic self.
Thank you for making this video! I was devoted to having a soft life in 2022 and beyond. I did a few things: 1. Advocated for myself to have a different role at my company. They promote me with a significant pay increase and I now make my own hours. 2. I meal prep on Sundays so I already have all my meals cooked and ready to eat all week. 3. Twice a month I head to my Reflexology sessions to get my feet rubbed and a full body massage. 4. Putting my additional income into investments so I’m better off in my older age. Just these four changes have made me so happy and relaxed now.
For me a soft life is driving a car, just a good reliable car because right now I don’t have one and it’s hard. Having a washer and a dryer, currently I have a washer but I hang clothes outside (yay Caribbean life) but not having to race to beat the rain is great. Being able to get a mani pedi and _maybe_ lashes every month. Plus, going to the gym and eating better foods. I don’t care so much about expensive clothing and fancy brunches all the time. If I have everything else I mentioned, I don’t need the clothing and brunches.
My soft life started when I married my husband who treats me like an absolutely goddess 🥰 I always treat him like the king he is too, I stay at home, have time to do everything I like, bake, sew, go to the gym 2 hours every day, I cook for him every single day healthy and delicious meals, I always have his clothes ironed, we live a beautiful peaceful life, I wish all women and men can get what we have♥️
I haven’t let these social media concepts influence my life at all. Living in a luxury apartment with a supermarket in it and breakfast services is nice and all, but it’s likely that I will never achieve that because I don’t live in a country that has apartments like that 😂 I have defined what a luxurious life is for me and what my soft life is. It’s reasonable and possible for me to achieve. I also don’t feel like influencers are telling people what they really have to do to achieve a “soft life”. OR how much money they don’t have because they’re living this aesthetic.

I am indeed in my “hard work” phase that I am Trying to soften ( release the stress addiction) and build up for the future. And of course all the trips and shopping sprees won’t be happing for me anytime soon 😂 but I made pace with it I know my hard work will pay off and I’m not even working that hard 💪🏾💕 thank you for sharing this info many ppl really don’t know because it’s confusing. Working will never go out trend for us who are not getting payed online, it is still a mystery until we experience this reality of having actual numbers (followers) that allow payment to flow or offer a service. For me this looks like, getting a stable job to support my passions & business. Working on my mental health so I can STAY at this job to build my financial independence and not give up. I really like this video. Kind of shows the wizard of oz behind the curtain of glamour. I think a softer life for me maybe a good goal. I work physically hard, do home improvement projects and probably need more art and music to feel softer. Physical jobs can leave you emotionally and mentally starving for real conversations and real culture. Thank you 💗

The Bible says that we are all guilty of breaking the Ten Commandments of God (Romans 3:23). As a result, we all deserve to go to Hell because none is righteous, no not one. (Romans 3:10). But the good news is that you do not have to go to Hell (John 3:16). Jesus Christ loves you so much that He died on the Cross for your sins and if you Repent of your sins and Accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior then you will be saved (John 3:16). Jesus is calling on all to repent and you know longer have to live in despair but in love, joy, and peace through Jesus Christ. Amen.
