Hello. I did my big chop 4 years ago and have never looked back. I found a great barber, a great style that suits me and there's not a day that I step out of my house that I don't get a compliment on my beautifully coifed afro.
I know that's right.
I just love to see black women embrace their natural God-given hair, then see the beauty!
Yes I have had several big chopp through the decades. This decade I want to see how long my hair can grow!!! Jody did a great job and she has lovely high density hair!!!

Transitioned a year before the pandemic. I am not courageous enough to do a "big chop" but I slowly trimmed the relaxed hair off and I've been natural ever since - rocking braids. Love it!

Hi Samantha! I did a big chop so many times,but, this last time when I did my big chop, it were 2010 and I have not had a relaxer in my hair. I am all natural and I am loving it. Now I am on a hair journey I want to see how long my hair can grow. I am keeping my hair moisturized, conditioning and keeping my hair trim every three months. Last month I have started comb twist so it can really grow
Hi Sam, so 8 yrs I fell asleep after I relaxed my hair so it set in for an 1 1/2 then I dyed it an flat ironed it because I already knew it was over processed and will start breaking off. So I did the big chop a year later because it didn't break off right away because I was using the 2 step protein treatment. I recently big chopped again this past June into a tapered cut 🖤

I haven't had any Relaxer nor chemical in my hair in 12 years. I have had different meds that damage/ cause my hair to be broken off and I had to start over again. Now I am wearing twist like her your client.

My first time was a transition as my hair was already on my shoulder took 1.5 year...then I cut it short and relaxed it..then decided to transition a 2nd time. Since it was short after about 3 inches I did a big chop myself as I know how to cut my hair. Now I'm transitioning a 3rd time it's currently at my chin and shoulder in back so no chop. It's just gotten take a year and/or half I believe... Plus I'm not coloring so all my grey is coming in too.
