So a few years ago, I did a big chop at home and yes I was rocking the Mr. Douglas for a minute 😬. I didn't know what the heck I was doing back then!

@Talisa Nowlin if you are going to take a year off, then make sure you really make that time count. Don’t just take it off and expect things to happen (not that I’m saying you are that kinda person, just a warning based on personal experience)
I suggest making some fully fleshed out goals that are specific and have due dates. The great thing about school is the structure, but when you are out you need to create that structure and scheduling. Just a little advice
@@foodcritic6835 that’s definitely not the case for everybody, let’s not spread that narrative. I took a year off before going to Grad School and I was way more prepared than I would’ve been had I gone straight away. Different strokes for different folks.

I'm the complete opposite. I'm going to wait til spring to do my first silk press in 3 almost 4 years. I'm so nervous already. I've worn my hair natural for so long, I'm not sure I'll like it straight.

Her favorite line to me was, “You want a clear?” I remember the slight attitude she had when I was like “What is a clear?” Lol man, I loved coming in to that shop! No men allowed! I remember how we reacted when Jay Z’s Black Album dropped! I heard What More Can I Say for the first time in the shop.

I have been straightening my hair all my life. I finally got tired of the chemicals. I cut my hair 2 years ago, then realized how curly my hair was. I'm loving the natural curly look. I was 61 when I discovered my natural hair.

I'm not being mean I swear. Why did you feel the need to announce that you are white? I've seen comments like this on almost every video of black women doing their hair or makeup. Do you feel weird watching videos from black content creators? I'm genuinely curious as to why white people have to announce that they are white under our videos. It doesn't make sense to me. The other person who did it can answer my questions as well.

@@8ThatUp2 It's not really announcing to me, more so clarifying. As somebody who is from a country that used to be a part of Yugoslavia I'm not used to seeing as much diversity in person as I do online. Quite honestly I was raised in that mindset that if a person is different than you (when it comes to either race, sexual identity, religious beliefs, and so on) that they're "below" you and that they have to tolerate whatever insult you throw in their face. And I know that mindset is wrong and really toxic. And the internet showed me a lot of different types of people and I realised that even if a person is different than you, if they respect you they should be treated with the same amount of respect. And because I have really straight hair it's kind of eye opening how people with natural hair manage and style it. I'm trying really hard to look past the differences and to just see a person. I hope that answers your question. If not ask me some more questions that you need the answers to. I really don't mind and I really appreciate how you approached this subject.

Your product sells out because it works as advertised a lot of products don’t so you could order 10x the amount and it would still sell out in 15 minutes. When you can advertise a product and the customer can have a similar experience you will always do well. You are a talented stylist and business woman and I see nothing but abundance headed your way. i remember when my own ends looked like that, 3 years ago... i've come a long way 🤗🤗 cut it at the same length too, i'm now at midback length with consistent trims whenever i need to trim my hair. she'll get there eventually too ❤

For predibeties I would suggest lemon water or Braggs apple cider vinegar diluted with water to get your metabolism flowing in the morning. If that is to difficult for you look into herbs like fenugreek, fennal, cinnamon, biter melon, mullberry, apple cider tabs, neem, berberine, gymnema, magnesium, probiotics,etc.... It will help with insulin resistance. You can buy the supplements mix them together and drink at least an hour before you eat. BotanicChoice, Swanson, iherb, ebay...etc sells them at a discount price. As far as cleansing which would be ideal if you're prediabetic would be fasting, a cleansing system from Nature's Medicine Corporation (1-800-201-4178) ask for the 2 month suppy. Remember, it took years to get yourself clogged up, it will take months to remove parasites from your body. You're trying to cleanse your blood and bring oxygen to your cells. I had my big chop after more than one year of letting my curls grow. I was so excited to have a fresh haircut and the stylist literally ruined it. Did a dry cut but took big chunk of hair basically parted my hair in 4 pieces and cut all the straight ends. It was awful. After being back home I realized some of the relaxed hair hasn't been cut properly. It was supposed to be an curl expert salon, so so disapointing. After watching your videos I got so many inputs and I totally understand why now you prefer to cut on blow dry hair. I wish you could fix my hair, your hands are magic!

See... this is why you need to come to Texas and do my hair! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that you said that since this was her first big chop, you wanted to give her as much curl definition as possible. That is what I'm talking about! I hear so many people say, It's just hair, It's just hair. No it's not for everybody. Going from long straight hair to very short natural hair is traumatic for a lot of people, trust me, I know. You don't preach to your clients. I love you for that. YOU ARE THE GOAT!
