So the reason why fire resist doesn't work with lava or even the boiling sea is because they are considered "heat damage" and the only source of heat resistance is the new flametal armor, but it doesn't really do much, just gives you a couple more seconds in the water and barely any extra time touching lava.

You were talking about looking at your health when you were showing dmg taken but your camera is covering it the entire time. Maybe move it to the other side next time
