I have a video suggestion: Take note of how busy the restaurants, rec centers, squares, etc. are during this summer season, then compare it to how busy the same places are this winter. We are considering moving to The Villages, and just completed a lifestyle visit over the Memorial Day weekend. I've heard the winter season is exponentially busier.
Absolutely! Thanks! As full timers living here year round one of our goals is to document and share as much of that info as possible. Yes the winter is the busiest time of year but it is much cooler and less humid. The summer is pretty empty compared to the winter but you have to adjust for the temps, humidity and hurricanes. Great video! Hubs and I would have a different set of 50 if we were doing a video because ours would be based on the route we’d take north from DeLuna. We loved your choices too though and have gone that route a few times. We’d include the WaterLily rec center, Lake Okahumpka rec center with the kayaking, boardwalk, lake themed decor, walking trail, and Harry and the Natives restaurant under construction, the Water Lily bridge, then Brownwood Square and the many sites along Buena Vista up to Lake Sumter. Rec centers like Eisenhower and SeeBreeze. The wildlife and nature surrounding us are always our favorites. There’s just so much when you start thinking about it. It can be overwhelming! LOL! Love the Lake Sumter Landing bathroom buildings too, but the interior women’s could use a refresh. 😊

Congratulations on 50 videos! I've really enjoyed them. Odd fact that the astronomy pads.. they close at dusk! They actually lock that gate. So you can't actually stargaze! 😅

What an excellent video! It makes me realize how many more things there are that we need to see. This settles it - we are definitely making another trip there soon. We really saw and did a lot during our Lifestyle stay but it was only a small fraction of everything there is to do in The Villages.

Great way to show off TV . So much to see and enjoyed all the unseen beauty that you pointed out. Everyone looks at amenities but nature and the free amenities such as nature , sunsets, birds, etc are priceless. Wow, fifty videos is a big milestone. Also, The Villages GPS app generally shows about 40% more time that the trip actually takes.
Thanks so much! We are going to do more golf cart rides and document and share our actual times vs. the TV app. It was hard to gauge in this video since we stopped at so many places along the way.
@@MichaelTiffanyTVE my wife and I frequently stay in a house in Sunset Point. The app says that it takes 44 minutes to get to Brownwood, however, it usually takes us 20-22 minutes.

Just a few things for non-villagers. 11 of the 12 country clubs north of 44 have indoor and outdoor dining. There are 2 bowling alleys in Spanish springs. The smaller theatre at the Tierra Country club is called The Studio. Plays with an intimate 120 seats. Some great talent there. Regarding Kilwins, we are fortunate to live near Petoskey, MI home of Kilwins 6 months a yr. You guys are definitely going to like the food and view from the Veranda at havana. We also agree with Sakura, but we're more into sushi so we visit the Colony location once a week. Enjoy your next 6 months 😊😊

Thanks for the Awesome reply! So far we are loving the new golf cart. No issues or worries about range with the 205Ah lithium battery. Plenty of battery to go out and about and explore TV all day long!

Franklin, Mickeylee and Jubilee are all kinds of watermelon. I highly recommend going into every Regional and Village recreation center just to see the gorgeous themed decor. Doing this will also help imprint the routes to travel in your mind’s map. ❤Of course GPS eliminates the need for a brain stored map of The Villages. 😊

Yes we plan on going to, documenting and sharing every rec center (inside and out) in future videos series. The funny thing about GPS and cell phones in general is that I jumped out of the golf cart to film a couple of segments (radio station and town square) at Lake Sumter Landing while Tiffany drove the golf cart to park in the shade so we could film a different location. I forgot my phone in the golf cart when I jumped out to film and then could not find where she parked. Took me 15 minutes to locate her. Won’t do that again! It’s crazy how much we all rely on tech as part of our brain these days. Thanks!

Did you know: a) the ashes of Harold Schwartz are in the base of his statue. It's not an urban legend. I read it in a credible source. B) McCalls Tavern backs to and is connected to the bowling alley. You can get the tavern food in the bowling alley. We ate in the tavern and it was very good. We also fell in love with Amerikanos. I think we've eaten there at least 3 times in May. Maybe 4! 😅

Wonderful video, been watching a lot of these & preparing for a 2025 lifestyle visit. But this video makes me wonder how you navigate the villages via golf cart? What I mean is none of my GPS’ have a golf cart mode and the golf cart streets seem different from regular car roads? Sorry if this is a stupid question and hopefully this will be clearer once I am there, but just wondering from Michigan.
Thanks so much for watching! Great question! We will make a video on this topic and post very soon. In the meantime you can download The Villages App for free. It has a lot of useful information and features including a GPS feature that will give you directions by car or golf car. It can seem really confusing driving around TV at first but you get the hang of it pretty quickly. Plus if you get lost on the golf cart you can just pull over to the side of the multi modal and another awesome Villager will probably stop to ask if everything is okay or if you need directions.
Furthermore I think the Amerikanos Burger is much better then the burger at Codie’s,

For some mysterious reason, you can't do any viewing at night because the hours on the Astronomy Pads aren't "astronomy friendly" at all: It closes at dusk (!) so kind of defeats the purpose -- no night viewing of planets, etc. Who is going to go there during the day? What was The Villages Admin thinking? They need to stay open later, maybe close at 9:00pm, like the live music does in the squares. I bet those pads have never been used even once...because they can't be. :-(

Did your new golf cart having any trouble clearing the lower tunnels up north?
Tight but no issues! Just drove slow and steady through the tunnels and stayed close to the center line and away from the walls where the roof slopes down. Thanks!
What is the difference between a putting course and pitch and putt?
Good question! Putting course you only need and only use a putter. Pitch and Putt course is like a Par 3 on a regular golf course where you will use a sand wedge, pitching wedge, gap wedge iron to hit a shot from a tee box and drive the green. Once your ball is on the green then you use your putter. Hope that helps! Thanks!

Great video, lots of fun! I know the list is subjective (and hard to pick your 50 faves) but I can't believe Eisenhower, Brownwood Paddock Square, and the First Responders" Recreation Center were not on the list :(
Thanks so much! All those places you mentioned are Awesome but unfortunately none were on our route that day. There are so many awesome places and things to see and do in TV. We are going to make this a regular segment going forward.
This video was 50 Awesome Places & Things on our route from Lake Denham to Spanish Springs and not necessarily our Favorite 50 places in TV! Some of the ones in this video and some you mentioned are definitely on Favorite 50 list too! We will do our Favorite 50 video in the future! 👍😃
I have a video suggestion: Take note of how busy the restaurants, rec centers, squares, etc. are during this summer season, then compare it to how busy the same places are this winter. We are considering moving to The Villages, and just completed a lifestyle visit over the Memorial Day weekend. I've heard the winter season is exponentially busier.
Absolutely! Thanks! As full timers living here year round one of our goals is to document and share as much of that info as possible. Yes the winter is the busiest time of year but it is much cooler and less humid. The summer is pretty empty compared to the winter but you have to adjust for the temps, humidity and hurricanes. Will share more in future videos. Hope you had an awesome lifestyle visit!
