Man, while watching the series, it was a challenge to keep track of the characters and their familial relationships - but definitely possible. Hearing in a recap is tough. But you did an excellent job.
How come the actors aren't as good looking as in most movies we are used to seeing. Are all of them actors or were they just pulled off the streets? Why do Germans seem not all that sensitive. Sure they can be expressive but there is a slightly sinister rudeness. Sometimes there is a correlation between manners and how one looks and the reality of who one is. I visited Europe and the Germans seemed colder though sure the French seemed nasty. Not to me .. just saw the way they interacted with others.
For real I'm just watching this series now (I can't believe I held in my que for 3 yrs- I love it so far❗️) & there's hardly any season reviews, yet the 2 above this are🗑compared to this. Ironically the #️⃣1️⃣ Viewed is uploaded most recent + the views are astronomically ahead of all others, yet it's THE WORST🤔😆-only one I turned off 2 mins in💯
@@oppothumbs1 Wow. You must be an American. The actors look like real people: not Hollywood plastic. An btw: you can't really watch a series made in a different country (something you obviously don't do much of) and think you've unlocked the whole country's historical/cultural makeup. If you think Germans were cold to you, I wonder if it had anything to do with all those years of occupation while mono-lingual white American tourists and military personnel tromped around and gave us all a bad name. Smh.
Holy shit I thought it was just me wondering why nobody used umbrellas 😂 every time I saw someone standing in the rain I'm like where's your umbrella! 2019 the trans sex worker did have an umbrella though, I was genuinely shocked
Only just started watching dark yesterday, and just finished season 1 now. And I had a couple of questions, normally I would be reading 3 or 4 different recaps that people have written out on different websites. And it normally takes me ages of reading through to find the answers to my questions. But this vid explained all my questions and answered things I wasn't even aware of. Thanks! Awesome vid. I'm sure I'll be back for the season 2 recap. Lol
benja in all honesty i feel there should have been more images used - one for each character youre talking about as you mention them but thank you still
I watched this show recently, and I watched it twice, and I had to try to keep notes... I was way too confusing for a relaxing watch kind of show.. but if you really want to watch something that you need to pay, such close attention to it is good... but being so much to remember like that does take away much of the entertainment aspects of watching a show after a long day
In the episode 6 Ulrich’s mother said that Claudia Tiedemann was the mistress of his husband and Regina Tiedemann (Claudia’s daughter) was the last one who saw Mads alive in 1986. Now, Regina’s husband is Aleksander Tiedemann. So Meaning Regina was already Tiedemann before he got married to Aleksander???
Good good job on this. I really found this show overwhelming. Nothing like this .series will ever be made. Now way anything can top this. I was always fascinated by time travel. Not in a fiction way. But in a possible way. I have a profound education in physics. Chemistry, and nuclear level too. I read a lot into what is theorized as the beginning of how matter comes from nothing. Albert Einstein's brain by some mutation that gave him an advantage no other had. He seen and understood a dimension that no one else did. Lot of his stuff was laughed at and now more and more supercomputers finding his theories were spot on. He insisted time travel was possible if some conditions, like exceeding the speed of light. He said time and matter intertwined and just I can only say I been waiting my whole life for this series. I can die tomorrow having everything fulfilled. If time travel is discovered some dude will read this, whip back in time and make sure I get whipped into a different place and time. I wanna make sure I pull a Biff from Back to the Future and bring me a sports almanac to get some spending money. I'm gonna box every trifecta in the Kentucky Derby.
That's a great question that I've thought about myself. But unfortunately Season 2 doesn't answer it. I went back to check if they provided an answer but there doesn't seem to be one.
Unlike the caves below which offer a path to specific year, the rift that was opened in the bunker can send anyone into future or past in multiples of 33. So in a since it sent Jonas 66 years into the future to 2052
12 Monkeys (the show, not the movie) is incredibly underrated and it has one of the best series finales I've ever seen. It's also the most similar to Dark among the shows I'm listing. Counterpart is even more underrated and it's short but it's probably not as mindbending as Dark. Still, some great acting performances and a world that feels real. The Leftovers and Fringe would be my other recommendations. I watched Fringe a long time ago so I don't know how it aged but I remember it being very addictive.
@@DannieKamete The dubbing comment was icing on the cake. I meant he saved me 10 hours of watching the whole of season 1 - no matter which language ;-)
I felt liking I was doing homework trying to make sense of this show, lol

😂
I literally wrote down a family tree 😭😭
This series is a must watch if you want to test if you have pre-alzheimer
😂
Helge might be borderline...
😂

How come the best recaps don't have the most views? This was fantastic!
That's very kind, thank you.
Effing algorithm

This was definitely one of the better recaps. Thanks!!
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful.
At this point I’m watching for cinematography and the nice weather, I don’t care about who is who no more.
There's still one unanswered question. Why are there no umbrellas in Winden?
Its Windyden

No Alexander used while the police comes fr searching

Thanks dude, this made the first season make so much more sense
The best Dark Recap, thank you!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
After waiting several recaps today, this one is really quite good!
Good to hear that!
Thanks for this recap. I've watched the series twice and love watching your recaps!
Perfect. It surely needs more views.
The best recap out there for season one.

I thought I would need to rewatch series 1 before I tackled season 2 but now Iv got it! Much appreciated 👍🏻
Quite simply the perfect recap
Thanks for watching!
Very well explained man..🤘✌well done
Needs a lineage chart/graph
Great job! This is very helpful. I just finished season one, and this recap unscrambled my brain! 🧠
Thank you 🙏🏼
Just finished this season .. search for sth to understand it more.. finding this .. no need to search for another. . COZ it's perfect. . Thank you
This wasn't an explanation, this was a recap.
Best recap of season 1!
33 years between time jumps though, not 32
Made me understand it even more, thanks
You just gained new sub brother, great video.
Excellent job!
you saved my sunday

Had to rewatch this a few times seems like a huge run on sentence going at 80 mph
Thank you!!
Where did the old Claudia get the blue print from??
need an infographic for this one. Goddamn!

Now, Regina’s husband is Aleksander Tiedemann. So Meaning Regina was already Tiedemann before he got married to Aleksander???
This was answered in episode 2 of Season 2. Aleksander took Regina's last name when they got married.
If you smoke weed. This show if a gift and a curse at the same time 😂 real ones know what I mean
the way you say magnus is so nice, thanks for the recap!
Thank you!
Unbelievably good explanation, thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
9:00 shouldn’t it be 1986 because it is adult Helge and the young Yasin? In 1953 Helge was a child.
my brain is leaking from my ears ig ill just have to rewatch.
honestly the only recap that helped.

timeline of Noah cleaning the floor seems wrong I guess
the room Noah was cleaning don't match with the timeline
I guess it is from 1953
Be right back let me go get this PHD real quick so I can understand this...
My question is where is young helge that was transported to 1986?
I actually believe this is a work of genius and thus will only be understood by people who have above average intelligence
nice
This is the most confusing show ever
I think this was a good show but it was to confusing 😂
What I wanna know is what created the wormhole in the very first place??
I'm confused why young Helga switched spots with Jonas In 1986, but Jonas went even further in future instead of switching spots with Helga in 1953?
That's a great question that I've thought about myself. But unfortunately Season 2 doesn't answer it. I went back to check if they provided an answer but there doesn't seem to be one.
Yeah I want to know what causes them to travel to the future
Unlike the caves below which offer a path to specific year, the rift that was opened in the bunker can send anyone into future or past in multiples of 33. So in a since it sent Jonas 66 years into the future to 2052
It's still confusion bruh 😂
Do they confirm who the man wearing the hood is in the first season?
Yes, in the last episode of season 1 they confirmed the stranger is old Jonas
Don't give spoilers early in the story, some of us are watching because we don't have time to watch the show.
I am German and I forgive you❤
Something that sucked more than ass about the 3rd episode is at "37:18".
@17:01 See you in the future 😉
great vid, learned nothing tho
I’m sorry but the fact that mikkel is jonas’ dad is so weird to me !!!!
Yeah but it's supposed to be. That's what makes this show eerily entertaining.
