NOWHERE in Any Scripture does it say, “33 Litanies of the Angels”, Nor does it say “the Antichrist begins reign at 33”. I’ve read through the Bible many times in several other languages- Aramaic, Greek, Latin, Arabic, Spanish, & English…Nowhere is there an “Apple” as the Forbidden Fruit, & the last book is called REVELATION. Sinnnngular!!! Not Plural. Singular. These truly are proofs of those who do KNOW what’s Not in any Spiritual Text, like the Kybalion. That being said, this show is a Masterpiece.
You are right. None of that is scriptural. A lot of stuff you see on TV or in movies that may seem biblical at first are actually based on Christian traditions of various sects. Litanies are definitely a Catholic thing. Many other references found in popular culture are drawing on Christian based literature like Dante’s ‘Inferno’ or Milton’s ‘Paradise Lost’. In this show especially they reference Goethe A LOT. For those of us raised within a Protestant tradition this can be confusing as most of us are taught the Bible is the end-all-be-all.
@@dustinhellstern7728 Right on. I was primarily stating though, that as Christians raised in a Protestant sect, sometimes we can forget that we are only a little more than a third of Christianity at large. Whether we believe they ‘count’ or not, the other 2/3 don’t view the bible the same way we do and have extraneous teachings and traditions outside the bible. These often appear in popular culture which can sometimes confuse those of us that reside in a more insular Protestant christian community. I was shocked to learn most Catholics don’t even take a bible to church with them *gasp.

Before Doris left him, he was one of the best on the force...
like the other commenters, with your extraordinary production skills i'm shocked that your channel hasn't blown up yet! I bet it will, i'm sure one of your videos will end up on the trending page soon. Hey, I wonder whether you've seen the movie Primer? Its about time travel and I used to think it had the most complicated timeline in cinema before watching Dark! I'd be curious to see what you make of that movie. Also, have you seen Twin Peaks the Return? while it's not as explicit about using time travel to untie a labyrinthine knot which intertwines different timelines (and perhaps different worlds), many believe that is what the Return is about. Again, I'd love to hear/see your take on that too! THANK YOU for your hard work and dedication to all your videos.
Thanks for the kind words Haizen! I have seen Primer! It's been a while but really impressive what they were able to do with such a small budget. Also, so true about Dark; though at least with Dark, it was parsed out over three seasons rather than all in one 90min movie haha. I've also seen Twin Peaks: The Return- it's one of my favorite works of art of all time! Amazing how great it was considering they were continuing a 25 year old story. It was pretty interesting to see David Lynch's take on time travel. With Dark and Primer, the time travel felt almost clinical, where you could decode it with charts and diagrams. With Twin Peaks, it felt more like mortals playing in the realm of Gods... clearly meddling in affairs we don't understand. Meaning, it will have unpredictable consequences like Cooper becoming Richard. I have a long list of videos I hope to make one day, some analysis on Twin Peaks is definitely on that list. Thanks again for the kind words! These sorts of comments make my day!
I don’t know if anyone caught this, but at 33:04 the narrator accidentally slipped the information that the Stranger is actually Jonas, although I had my suspicions back when he first stopped the younger Jonas from approaching Michel.
Honestly, I thought it'll be hard to understand, as people said. But, if you give your focus it is way more easier to understand. I was able to understand it while watching, and now I'm watching this to memorize everything.
That's because the show is not confusing. It's just very complex but at the same time very logical, it doesn't break the rules it has established and especially upon rewatching you can see how many things were foreshadowed early on. It's the type of show that you have to watch carefully to catch up but it is not hard to follow when you do so and it's also really rewarding and satisfying.
I loved this recap. I have Amazon firestick and I always pass this show. The recap was confusing at first but as I watched, it became clearer. I will definitely be watching season 3.

I just discovered this channel and this is sick you do an amazing job ! Thanks youtube for recommended this to me. So i have a question and i'm looking for explanations. * warning don't read this comment if you haven't seen the s3 of dark yet * so the thing i don't understand is about charlotte's story and how it deals with hg tanhaus family.. so merek and sonja's daughter, the little baby, is called charlotte doesn't she ? Cause of the gold watch * stop me if i'm wrong..* but she is not the charlotte we all know because the real charlotte is noah and elizabeth's daughter, and not sonja's... So is there two charlottes ?? I think i'm wrong because it doesn't make sense. I dont get the travel of the gold watch troughout the years and is this element important in the story ?
Thanks for the kind words Nathan! Regarding Charlotte... ***SPOILERS FOR SEASON 3*** It's been a few months now so I don't recall all the details. However, my understanding is that there are two Charlottes. There's Tannhaus' biological daughter Charlotte and then his adoptive daughter Charlotte (the one we know). Though, it's not coincidence that they share the same name. Since we see Tannhaus' great grandfather (or was it great great grandfather?) had a pocket watch which said "For Charlotte", we can assume Charlotte is a name that's been in their family for some time. We saw that pocket watch in the 1800's timeline when Tannhaus is killed by the trio. So, I think Marek and Sonja named their daughter Charlotte after one of her ancestors who we never met (again, just because the name has been in the family). Then, when H.G. Tannhaus was given our Charlotte, it was with the "For Charlotte" pocket watch... so he probably gave her that name since it matched the watch and to sort of honor the Charlotte who passed in the car accident. I'm not sure the golden watch is "important" to story any more than it's just one more piece of the puzzle that puts everyone where they need to be for the knot to continue playing out. I will say, it's odd that baby Charlotte's body was never found after the accident. However, I think that was just a red herring to make us think Marek and Sonja's biological daughter could actually be the Charlotte we know. I'd love to hear other theories though if I missed something!

Thanks so much for all the work you put into this video!
I don’t know if anyone caught this, but at 33:04 the narrator accidentally slipped the information that the Stranger is actually Jonas, although I had my suspicions back when he first stopped the younger Jonas from approaching Michel.
Oops 🤦♂️ haha, nice catch! Can’t believe it’s been about a year and I think you’re the first one to point that out!
Excellent work. This needs to be rewarded with more likes and subscribers.
I loved this recap. I have Amazon firestick and I always pass this show. The recap was confusing at first but as I watched, it became clearer. I will definitely be watching season 3.
I’m upset I clicked on this thinking it was a movie recap...and now im hooked on this

@@OneTakeVids your voice is definitely NOT ! Thank you also !
@@Peanutpunchsarah_ this is such a full circle moment for me because I vividly remember in English class 11th grade, I was called on to read aloud and a few kids yelled out that they didn’t want me to read because my voice was too annoying. I was so embarrassed, I refused to read that day.
FINALLY, 16 years later I’m vindicated 😂
@@OneTakeVids awwww now look at that ! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 you got this ! And don’t let anyone tell you any different!! Also is there a 1899 recap too ?

@@OneTakeVids no problem , good RECAP!#BREAKDOWN on explaining everything it's like I watched it but in less time ❤
Keep doing what you do! 🤗
I’m on my third complete series watch and I still use this video as a sort of cliff’s notes
One thing that people are missing about Dark that I don’t see on any comments or TH-cam videos is how great of an acting job the guy Noah played
this is intriguing stuff, its good that you took time to explain this confusion, keep up the good work, i like it!! :-)
Thanks Dr. Know Name!! Both recaps took a ton of time and effort so I really appreciate the kind words!
Wow.. I watch this movie before and not understand, then I watch this, now I know how the twist in time loop.

I didn’t even mean to click on this video but here I am 40 minutes into it just fascinated by this recap. Never even seen the show
THIS IS SO GOOD!!!!!
***SPOILERS FOR SEASON 3***
It's been a few months now so I don't recall all the details.
