@@BeardedPicker It made me laugh, so not a fail in my opinion. It was a lighthearted, funny moment especially since it was unintentional. Plus, whiskey is the active ingredient in a hot toddy, medicine for your scratchy throat. 😂
About 4 months ago I had over 100 New Era hats on ebay, brand new, all different teams and sports and all were taken down. All were authentic and I see a gazillion of them still on ebay.
1pm Sunday here in aus and I actually haven’t had a paid sale since Friday night. Never have I ever had a 0 sale day on Saturday and halfway through Sunday with still nothing. I agree with you Josh, none of it is random. A huge day is always followed by a slow or no sale day, never used to be though! The 3 peas podcast sounds cool to me btw lol.. thanks for sharing your views!
Excellent discussion. No question that leveraging social media is the future of re-selling as a solo entrepreneur. There's some weird alchemy where people will pay way more money for a hat sold by an influencer than by some grandmother in Topeka. The "good" items are increasingly not available in quantity at thrifts and flea markets. But a big influencer can sell average pieces and get a $20 profit for a 2000s Favre jersey. If you can do that, you have a business you can scale. I'm really negative on the future of the average 'everything' seller. Just too much fee inflation and cost-of-living pressure.
The splash screen to promote all my listing was recommended at 14.4%. Edit: before I was able to add 4%, it displays a warning-like message that further asked for a higher rate of 10-14.4%.
I personally think now is the time to work on Volume. Seems like everyone else is focusing on high STR and high ASP. I think going against the grain and focusing on small profit high volume is the move to make this year.
I have not been able to post for the last 4 days. I can see the outcome in views and sales. Summer slow is coming but I look at it at a chance to create drafts for the upcoming 4th quarter. I work fulltime and not a fulltime seller yet. Two years till retirement. Crossing fingers.
Good talk on the reselling stuff! I agree with virtually everything said. Will I apply all that was talked about into my business? Nope. Why? Because my sales on Ebay in 2023 were 15% higher than 2022 and Year to date 2024 Ebay sales are up 35% over the same time period in 2023. I realize I am one of the old geezers who always say "If it ain't broke don't fix it" Sure I take things learned and apply them, but I doubt I will ever do Amazon, Whatnot, District, etc. New channel name - Mo Larry & Curly talk selling - Beard can be Curly
I haven't experienced the high sale day and the next day dead. I do experience the dreadful wth is going on no traffic for half day and then bunch sales within 30 min to hour. What spares me most days is repeat buyers.
What exactly is the upside of eBay telling people there’s a cheaper version of what that bought AFTER they bought it? eBay makes less in fees. You as a seller are screwed. Is it just good will/looking out for the already existent buyer? I wonder how many times buyers bought off us after being tipped off we’re cheaper.
Everytime I've had a 500 plus day, and a couple 1k days, the rest of my sales week sucks....every. single. Time. and I've had at least a dozen of them over the years.
This is the 1st episode I watched most of the way through, good laid back stuff.
It was fun to do!
Nice to see Josh back

So glad to see you back! The three of you together are a great combination
Great to see Josh back. Like old times. 3 p's in a podcast? 3 pundits in a podcast?
I like "real reseller talk"
The splash screen to promote all my listing was recommended at 14.4%.

Name suggestion. " Profit off the shelf"

Your comment is interesting because I’ve been telling myself the same thing. So I’m cranking as much as I can this year. Hopefully we are both right.
@@ER-pc3dx go where the crowd isn’t going.
Good name for the show would be reseller Focus
3P’s in a podcast
Reseller Power Hour
I really enjoyed your talk very good with the three of you doing the show. Keep it up.
My suggestion is The Potential Profit Playbook Podcast Pros
5 P? PPPPP? Why don’t we just call it Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Pickled Peppers Podcast? LOL
That could be keyword stuffing?? lol
Perfect Preparation Prevents Poor Performance Power Podcast 😂
lol!!!!
Although 3 peas in a pod-cast sounds cool i prefer profit playbook podcast

Do you guys think that promo rates will gradually top out? And possibly will people price themselves out of ebay? Love the talk today as always.
