This is literally the best reseller podcast ever!!! I am in awe of everything that each one of you guys brings to the reselling world. I enjoyed this episode the most. James added so much to this one with his wealth of knowledge. Keep up the good work. Wishing all of you growth and prosperity.
I've been reselling for about 3 years and before I started I watched a lot of youtube reseller videos. I have continued to watch a handful of reseller videos dropping a few that seemed to be full of it. It's really interesting to see these resellers come together here and in other places and see the common ground about what is known about what works and what doesn't. It's also interesting to just see the different personalities together. Thanks you guys, James you rock.
Guys James is an awesome guests hope you have him back. He's really encouraging and bearded you too. Jon great guide and Josh you are the nominated Interviewer you have a natural about you to ask the questions we want answers to. You all are so great together. Keep them coming❤
I am so pleased that you have invited James to your podcast. He has a wealth of knowledge. You should add him as part of your team as a permanent member.
When James was my boring reseller life, he was voted by some website as the #2 BEST RESELLER CHANNEL on you tube! Plus he drives a Porsche. Enough said!
James! Good talk with the guys today! When answering the question of do you take days off you said no and then they asked why and you said this is better than what I was doing before. You truly seem to enjoy what you do.
I liken resellers who constantly say anyone who sees slow sells just needs to sell better stuff to advising a golfer who is struggling with their putting game to just get all holes in one. Pretty obvious and not helpful in the least. I call these resellers “Happy Gilmore Resellers”. IYKYK. Thanks for the interview James!
Great episode as always - I've met Jon & Scott a couple times each, Only ran into James once I was hitting his subdivision's yardsale. Josh you need to hit a reseller meetup.
James is one of my favorite resellers! He is a wealth of knowledge and as real as you can get. Thanks for having him on...I've subscribed to your podcast thanks to him!
It seems like everything related to reselling is down across the board. Sales are down, even views on reseller videos are way down. I track the performance of a lot of the big channels and most of them are way down in views year over year, many at multi-year lows.
I have random streaks of nothing happening all the time. We always want to mentally find a reason for something that might not have a reason. My recent seeming pattern is the daytime shutdown, with nothing selling from noon until about 8 PM. The brain looks for a pattern, when I started having dead daytimes I started looking for dead daytimes. However I have never once gone to ebay and tried to find or purchase items and not been able to do so.
Work smarter not harder. Having over 60 thousands listings and spending your entire day listing and trying to find eBay glitches is not working smarter. This guy is 100% reactive to eBay.
I don’t think James is looking to find glitches. I think he happens upon them because of the sheer level of eBay activity 60,000 listings requires. We all have a tendency to recognize patterns if we’re exposed to them and paying attention. He works very hard. He seems happy with the life he has created for himself.
@@SPAMbanshee I really like James, ran into him last week actually. However I never agreed with him on the "ebay update killed my sales" thing. That requires one of two things to be true, either updates are selectively doing this to certain accounts somehow. Or that updates are making it impossible to find or purchase items. There are no reports of the second one happening. I have never had an "ebay not working for buying or searching" incident that lasted more than about 30 seconds. Since the overwhelming majority of ebay updates don't have anything to do with the Cassini search engine (what is responsible for actually showing your items), I just find it hard to logically attribute my personal slowdowns to unrelated website updates. - Ultimately we will never have the data to really know, as I am sure anyone in the position to see it is bound by all sorts of non-disclosure agreements.
It’s really easy. eBay lets you know when something sells. You click to ship it and enter dimensions, weight, and shipping service then print the label and drop it at the post office
I cannot comprehend how paying for five whole storage units full of unlisted items makes any sense. Maybe one unit with a continuous in out flow but five seems like those items would all have to be worth big money to be worth it month after month
It does not make sense. He has had junk in storage for 10 to 20 years. 60,000 items listed. Should be selling a minimum of 300 items per day, but cannot sell 100. Why buy anything if he has millions of dollars in storage. I watched him for a while, but he really does not have a clue. He says he has no cost for the items for which he has paid storage for 20 years.
James looks like the night stalker. Super weird and creepy looking. Probably the last person I’d want to be stuck talking to. His wife has paid for everything. Look at his older videos.
James and Jon. legends. That Josh guy spreads more disinformation than anyone, and takes no ownership in that. That's the problem with 4-guy podcasts, you always get 2 legends, one good guy, then one absolute poser like Josh.
❤love James! It was great over the last year and a half to have someone point out the issues of eBay and not hold back. I feel like he gives resellers a voice.
james is like a bible when comes to reselling and ebay people really should listen to him great show again guys but i think its gonna be hard to top the two last guests you had on
This guy blames all his problems on eBay. You can list a hundred items per day but you need to list stuff people want. Also I constantly hear resellers talk about servers and algorithms with no detail. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say you probably have no idea what you’re taking about lol
I tried to watch this guys, but he has not learned a thing. He blames everything on eBay, when others are doing great. Has millions of dollars of stuff in storage but has to thrift. With 60,000 items listed, one should sell at least 300 items per day. He cannot sell 100 per day because his store and units are full of junk. Guys like Ebert know their stuff.
@ My biggest criticism is that he blames eBay for everything. Nothing was ever his fault. He mislead people into thinking the eBay Machine was against them. Yes, I used to watch him for a while because he seems like a decent guy. I never wrote a message because of his responses to others.

Promotions are like the mafia. Once your start there is no turning back. Just sell sought after items that sell themselves and save the money

100% on point comment.

May I ask what the best way to do shipping is on eBay
It’s really easy. eBay lets you know when something sells. You click to ship it and enter dimensions, weight, and shipping service then print the label and drop it at the post office
Open a Pirateship account using a rewards card that you pay off every week. Link your eBay account and run your USPS and UPS labels there.
