Hi Jack, thanks for getting back to me. Stuart up in Norway. Back to Boston Wednesday night! Great shave.
Stuart Collins Thanks Stuart, how's Norway?
Amazing country but still bright outside in middle of the night now. Wonderful people and clean air, stunning geography. Nice TH-cam channel you have here.
Congrats for great looking razor wow
Maol products are amazing.
The best imo.
Nice review!!
I personally won't be going for the SS as I absolutely love my brass Karve! The patina is forming beautifully!
nav m that's great to hear.
Nice razor looks good. Great shave well done👍👍
I was one of the first orders as soon as it hit the site, can’t wait to get mine - I have two of the brass versions! Excellent review!
Awesome razor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm pretty damn excited for my ss karve! That attention to detail is truly respectable. Sorry to hear the soap had an animal funk to it. At least it performs well. Great shave Jack!
DK I've followed a few people's advice here and aired it out. The funk is gone!
Excellent review! 😊 What SB plate do you recommend for me as I use my Rex on between 2 and 2.5? Thanks again! 👍🏻
Turre Tuntematon When I used the Rex, those settings were my preference too. I would suggest the B/C plates on the Karve.
That 'base' scent is noticeable on a number of GD soaps. Leave the lid off for a day or 2 to let it air out and fade away....sorted. :)
Potter tons It worked!!!
👍👍
In regards to the funky smell on a non-vegan Grooming Dept soap: I have found that if I leave the lid off for 1-2 hours before lathering, the unpleasant aspect will evaporate. I don’t know if I will need to do that with each use, or just the first few times. I have several of the donkey milk soaps, and after “airing”, I get splendid lathers.
I've followed your advice and it's done a great job, thanks man!
There was a rumour about a future version in Titanium. True?
Turre Tuntematon Yes, although there's no real advantage to titanium over stainless steel aside from weight saving properties. It'll happen at some point though, I'm sure.
Hey mate just wondering have you ever used a wolfman or charcoal razor ? I'm the same as you I dislike the blade hang on the karve so won't buy it.
Vicarado Lorenzo not buying it because of oveehang is a little silly. The way it shaves really is unparalleled for me.
@@TheVirtualGroomroom I understand but I really dislike the overhang and iv spoke to the owner and he said he will be fixing it in the future so will buy one then. However I have heard they are great shavers. Sorry did you see my previous question?
@@vdlorenzo2578 I've spoken to Chris about the overhang and he's said that he won't be removing the overhang. It's part of the design of the head.
@@vdlorenzo2578 I wouldn't spend my money on a Wolfman. It really isn't worth it for me.
@@TheVirtualGroomroom ok Chris said in his next gen he would be, I can forward you the email if you like. Should be realised in January so quite a while away. Ok I see yes they are very expensive razors very wise
