  • The Dimka coup of February 13, 1976, made the late General Murtala Muhammed a hero and whitewashed his ignominious roles in Nigeria’s military and political history.
Apart from a state burial, naming monuments after him, especially the country’s busiest airport, and fulfilling obligations for his pension and gratuity as a Four-Star General, the Nigerian government infused a large amount of cash directly into Murtala Muhammed’s estate to protect his family from future financial embarrassment.

This documentary reminds us of lady karma's existence. Murtala lived by the sword and perished by it. The innocent civilians massacred by him in Asaba during the civil war finally got justice through Dimka's coup. Karma is real

Thank you for correctly pointing out that it was Major Chris Ugokwe who led the effort to dislodge Lt. Col BS Dimka from the radio station. This important fact is often overlooked.

This is the first person who has mentioned a very important aspect of this coup..
How could the coup plotters mistake a Col's official car with that of a 3 star General?

Murtala himself was an accomplished killer who superintended the Asaba massacre in 1967. I don't empathize with him.
