    All Nigerian politicians are a reflection of Nigeria. Buhari was president but civil servants were responsible for all facets of policy implementation and administration. While Nigerians often criticise the federal government, local and state governments who are responsible for service delivery are never criticised. It's time for Nigerians to demand accountability from these other organs of government.

    • @whymillie
      @whymillie 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +25

      How can they be accountable when they were trained to not criticise others. They were trained to worship the elders and pray about all of your problems. From primary school to University. They are given the worst application of education. They now become adults and we think they have good reasoning. The people are enslaved to the statesmen.

      Considering how nigerian system of governance is setup, the Federal arm has more power which warants more responsibility and expectations

Majority of boko haram attacks were in the north thats why he got alot of support in the north and he is hated because during his time banditry and kidnapping came.

    Nigerians have a very short memory. I remember we warned people way back in 2015 about a wolf who had been branded a Messiah but they did not listen. We could forgive those who voted Buhari during his first term as a democratic president, but those who voted him a second term need to bury their faces in shame. Buhari midwifed a Nigeria with an unprecedented level of division across ethnic and religious lines. Never has this country been so divided. He remains the worst leader in the history of Nigeria. I still blame Jonathan though. He was weak.

    In hindsight, let us hope some of these past Nigerian leaders will have the courage to stand up and admit their errors by going on national television and apologizing to Nigerians. To say that Buhari wanted to push sharia law to be adopted all over the country is the worse cut of all. Discipline has nothing to do with religious faith. Faith is a personal preference. To make people act like human beings, you have to invest in them by providing the enabling environment that helps them build the muscle memory that moves them in the right direction. If General Gowon had opted to renegotiate the Aburi agreement rather than going to war and also introduced a three year military service for Nigerian youth 18 years and above in place of the indoctrinating NYSC, Nigeria would today be close to being a super power.

    Perfectly recounted!
    As a student of politics, I doff my cap in admiration for your analytical prowess and resound knowledge of Nigeria's political historical events.
    On my part I clearly campaigned and warned Nigerians against Buhari's candidacy. I never saw anything democratic about him, he still pose in the aura of military man both in speeches and mien. I was disappointed anyways as he plunged Nigeria's economy to near comatose.
    I was also hard against Tinubu's candidacy on the grounds that he led the route to Nigeria's economic collapse by paving way for a complete failure as a leader. Still Tinubu didn't disappoint..

    This is a great analysis. I'm still glad that we didn't vote.for him in Abuja. We voted and stood our ground waiting for our votes to be counted. Abuja is not like Lagos where mayhem is being released on voters when their preferred candidate is on the loose. Nigeria is going through a lot today, l believe, one day, we shall see the end of bullying in the form of leadership inshallah
