You do such an amazing job with your videos up here. My brother and I were through the same area about a month before the Chilcotin river slide, it’s a shame knowing that the Pot Hole ranch buildings were swept away. You have an appreciation for BC; an appreciation that goes far deeper than most British Columbians have…..you need to be made an Honorary British Columbian!!
Thank you so much for the kind words. Makes the hard work putting these together worth it. You are correct. The chilcotin and the Yukon are my favorite places on the planet. I love the romance of that country. It’s magic, like no other place I’ve been. “Honorary Citizen “ I’ll wear that badge proudly. It is my hope that my ashes will be scattered there. Love it!! 👍
Been waiting for this one. My stomping grounds. I spend a lot of time hunting in the Gang Ranch/ Empire Valley area and was there just a few weeks ago. It’s a magical spot. I’m always in my Tacoma when I’m there but always plan on riding my Dual Sport there as well. Hopefully next summer. You stopped right at my camp spot on the Churn Creek. And we also stay at a friends old mining camp just downstream on the Fraser. You can actually see his camp where you stop to fuel up before crossing the Gang Ranch suspension bridge you get a glimpse of a white 5th wheel trailer across the river. That’s right above his camp. I can’t get enough of this place and I share your dream of being able to live there but my Home on Vancouver Island isn’t that far away and I get to visit often. Maybe we will cross paths there on the bikes some day. Excellent video. Thanks for sharing.
It’s a magical place. Yeah, lots of places to camp for sure. None of them bad spots. Ride safe and maybe we will cross paths. I go out there as much as possible. Thanks for riding along 👍
Just wanted to say thanks for the video and a great ride you took. I appreciate watching And getting out to sea God's great land it was a pleasure.I'm just starting adventure riding myself I'm putting that area on my bucket list. Thanks again, I appreciate it. And happy holidays.
Wow, beautiful episode! The wife and I did the part from Beacher House to Lee's Corner via Farwell and Big Creek back in 2010, on our way to catch the ferry in Bella Coola. It's such a beautiful country, so thanks for taking us along! Great memories...
@@Olinomot you’re welcome. So you got to see Lee’s Corner before it burned down . I’m so saddened everytime I go out that way to see it gone forever. There was a map painted in the ceiling that had identified all the historical farms and such. An outpost in the wilderness back in the day. Thanks for joining me on this ride. Cheers ~Grizz
Awesome video! I used to live up north and would travel to Vancouver at least once a year and always through the Fraser canyon but have yet to explore it like you have, I’m going to fix that!
Great video GrizzLee! The drone shots were just absolutely amazing, too bad you started feeling sick at the end. I can relate to that on the road for sure. Keep up the good work, I enjoyed this series very much my friend! I might be heading up to Canada for a family reunion next year, if I do, I’m gonna take that route for sure if I can! Thanks for sharing it! 😎🍻
@@NorthboundMotorcycleADV The Chilcotin is a magical country for sure. It’s like a Time Machine, church, zen, wild, remote and magic all rolled into a little corner of the world. The native people are friendly helpful and welcoming. So is the wildlife. 😀 I doubt that anyone who has spent some time out there wouldn’t come back a changed person. It’s powerful medicine for the soul. Happy Holidays and may your riding dreams come true next year ~ GrizzLee
Fantastic … I am probably not the only viewer that actively takes notes, pausing along the way to search Google on some of those places. My comments are pretty much sequenced as per the video. So here they are: Love the product placement when you are cooking. Ha. Loved the graphic video effects. Nice touch At 8:01, what mic are you using for the audio. Do you sync with your horn or some other method? Good idea on the refuelling partway thru the day to get the weight lower. Great drone footage throughout but I did like the normal camera suspension bridge sequence. Can you please share with us the effort for the filming the bridge crossing sequence. It is much appreciated. Very, very much and I think aspiring creators and viewers would like to know a bit about it and the effort you put in to put us right there on the ride with you. We can also communicate via ADV rider if you prefer to share that way. Thanks for the Churn Creek diversion and showing the Empire Valley Road, certainly looks worth the ride once the fuel thing is figured out. I have not crossed and come up by Lees Crossing so will have to add that in next trip and pursuing Taseko Lake! Were you ever surprised by the truck emergency runaway lanes that actually cross the highway by the bridge near the end. I had certainly not noticed those before my first trip out that way. And lastly, but most importantly: a big shout out to Looksha Lori for supporting these efforts. Thank you!
@dougiverson4297 Hey Doug, Many many thanks for the enthusiasm and the questions. Love it! If you can ping me on ADVRider, I can answer the multitude of questions you have. Happy to share. Maybe I should do a video on my setup. It’s nothing fancy and I’m trying to improve as I go. Regarding product placement… that’s funny. I’ve never thought about that. Just was chillin in the morning. Yes, the gang ranch bridge sequence required some time to set up and a couple of ride by’s. Glad you like and appreciate the effort. This is exactly why I like traveling solo. I’m afraid my fellow riding friends would have gotten impatient with me. 😀 Thanks again for riding with me. Please feel free to reach out to me on ADVRider. Have a wonderful holiday. 👍 ~Grizz
