I loved watching you guys just being you. Its never easy to crawl out of bed into a cold dark morning but when you get you get going and are ready to set out again its so refreshing. It is one of my favorite times when I'm on an adventure.
It's so much easier to get out of bed when it's for an adventure/travel tho. Still not easy when you are snug and prob still tired from the day before...but for me, seeing new stuff around every turn does more for me than caffeine ever will...but caffeine helps :D
Such a great family rip, you and Tory just jump in and do what needs to be done. Love that trailer, especially when you had the tire changing adventure Wesley can just go in and nap.
I just love the way you guys edit these. Not all sunshine and rainbows, but those moments make the actual sunshine and rainbows all the more special. ❤️ Cherish your time with Wesley on these adventures! What a lucky lad to have such awesome parents! ❤️ He will benefit so much from these times! Keep on keeping it real! You’re an inspiration! 🇨🇦❤️🙏🏻
Thanks very much! Ya, it’s good to keep the cameras rolling even when things aren’t going the way you want them too and I also don’t shy away from showing failure either.
Jim. I love watching your hard core adventures, but I must admit that I am following Tori’s adventures too. She is an amazing woman. If I had her self confidence when I was her age, I might actually have become that forest ranger I wanted to be. At 75, I think it is a bit too late now. I want the three of you to stay safe up there in Alaska. 😊
My old boss used to drive this route every summer to visit their vacation place in Alaska. He always brought 3 (three!) full size spares on the top of his truck for the journey. The stories of the road debris he encountered made for some great lunch time talk. Mark - you are that boss I am talking about! I hope all is well.
The tire change was my favorite and you guys working through it together was great, but not filming getting the flat fixed later left me worried the rest of the trip! 🤣 Remember, 2 is 1 and 1 is none! 😳 Thanks for taking us along on your adventure, you guys have an awesome family!
Your Wesley is a real trooper, as that’s some journey to “endure” for adults, let alone wee ones ! 😊 I love the “stealth camping” in someone’s lot - arrive at night and leave early ! 😂 Looking forward to the next episode already 😊👍
Left at about 10am. Stopped to pay. Still no one there. So we just went. Always planned to go back and pay someday but never have. Now we dont remember where it was.
Did that once in Mississippi.. pulled in at 11pm no one there to take our money. Stayed at a spot near the bathroom's. It was a Saturday night. Got up at 9 on Sunday showered In their bathroom. Had breakfast. We never hooked up electric or water .
That trailer is SWEET. I love that Wesley can nap in there while you change a tire or make a meal. It's wonderful. That kitchen made me green with envy - now I gotta look at them. A place to sleep, a place to keep your stuff and a place to sleep. Perfect. Lessee, my favorite part is your partnership - taking turns making meals, caring for Wesley, driving and so on. You are both so able with all the tasks at hand.
So great man. Your adventures are addictive and inspiring. Appreciate your level-headedness and commitment to safety (especially with the little guy with you!).
Thanks Jim. That camper is pretty cool. Love the kitchen setup in the back. That generator looks slick. Amazing adventure. Left us with a Cliffhanger! Looking forward to the next episode.
It's just Grand Prairie, guess someone thought the "e" would make it look better haha. My great great grandfather left the prairies as the buffalo were scarce and pressure from European settlers were taking up land around present day Edmonton area. He was one of the first plains Cree to settle in GP, back then it was called flying shot lake.
@@JimBairdAdventurer You are towing nose down tho, you need to level it out. Either change your hitch pin from drop to a rise or fix the squat on the vehicle with air bags/springs or whatever. How you are doing it is hard on both vehicle and trailer. The frost heaves on the Alcan will hasten any issues.
Hi Jim . I love all your adventures, especially the one when you took Buck vertually to the Norh Pole . Please get another Buck . You need the back up and there is a doggie out there dying to be part of your family . Love to you and yours. Julie xxx
Love the kitchen area have to build one for my jeep. When you change a tire never put your hands between the fender above and the tire always keep your hands at 4 oclock and 8 oclock at the bottom of the tire to be safe. Never trust a jack.
Love the videos man! Just want to say i’m a licensed bbq repair/installer by trade, in the future i’d like you to have the lighter already burning before you turn the gas on to cook. Many injuries and worse happen every year because people turn the gas on first.
If you are overlanding or long distance driving, especially up there, you need a bottle jack in that rig. Another good idea is the trailer tires/wheels need to be compatible with the rig Cool adventure 👍
Seeing you interact with Wesley brings a big smile to my face. This whole trip is sending me down memory lane from when I youngster (like 10-12, if I recall correctly) and my family took a trip from Kingston Ontario out west to the Rockies and back. (the summer before we drove to the East coast and back, and the summer after we went up to Labrador) I cannot imagine how much planning and prep work to take those trips, pre computer, pre-GPS, luckily though we didn't have to worry about the cold, and snow and ice and we didn't go anywhere as crazy as I am sure you are about to go! I know at the time I did not appreciate it as much as I should have. But looking back I appreciate it and the time my parents spent with us kids greatly. Thanks for filming and sharing.
I'm just starting to watch each video in order now. Love how great a team all 3 of you are. I carry a tire plug kit and an impact gun to make things easier for myself since I'm not getting any younger. I still have the stock spare tire but want to get another tire since I went a size up in tires , but still have stock size rims. Love these episodes guys , keep it up and stay safe 🙏
Changing of the tire was the best! Despite all the semiconductors and GPS in the vehicle, changing a tire is a 1950’s job. Way to go! No CAA for you guys!

Thanks Jim for taking us along! Pretty intimate insight into your family life too - you guys are adorable and seem to make a great couple. Looking forward to the next episodes!
My favourite part is seeing more and more of this amazing trailer. Must admit when I first seen it I thought there is no way Jim is going fit in there. Lol..... But after seeing all the room inside it’s pretty cool. It seems like it’s laid out pretty cool for travelling and everything is handy for getting back on the road quick. Amazing footage and scenery and of course sweet Wesely. Looking forward for more great videos.😘
Jim and Tori, what I remember from driving from Detroit to Alaska was that in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, I do not think the road had a single bend for 800 miles or so. Nothing but cornfields for all that distance, straight on for forever! Your video is bring back such good memories.
I liked the tire change , something id not like to have to do, also when you folks and Westley made it to mile 0 of the Alaskan Highway, how exciting But another snow storm not good .
i picked with your trip map in Edmonton, the rest of the way to Yukon is awesome, make sure you stop and sleep in laird hotsprings resort parking lot and use the springs down the boardwalk for a dreamy soak and clean up! i have passed thru 5 times and its my favorite! my trips were from wasilla alaska to florida or new york
Long cross country trip on remote highways, perhaps I should carry an extra spare on the roof of the truck? Naw, we'll be fine... You guys are VERY lucky to have made this trip with just one spare tire. I would never had attempted that with my luck!
Thank you so much for sharing your adventure. I adore your family and their willingness to spend this time out in the wild. Please please tell me you took the time to get your spare fixed.. I am a nervous wreck waiting on the next video. I have heard many stories about the Alaskan Highway. It lives on tire tread. lol
Here in Alberta we just say grand(e) Prairie. Until you said the French way I never really saw it as the French word Grande. You are always a wealth of knowledge, no matter how small/big it is. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome, I got a comment on here from someone saying it’s pronounced grande like the coffee size at Starbucks where they use the Italian pronunciation. I though that was freakin hilarious. Thanks for letting me know.
You road trip like I do....Love it! No good road trip is without a red bull and crappy coffee. Except of course in camp. I did the Alcan three times in the early eighties in a Datsun 310 GX hatchback. Those were road trips. Now with my 4Runner and Dometic fridge, I feel like its almost too cushy...
A small chordless impact and some impact sockets would be a game changer. I always use mine for our RV for the stabilizers and bring my floor jack. The stuff that auto makers supplies works but not so 💩 hot. My wife and I went 2x from Brantford to Cloverdale BC. Yup, Ontario is big. I figure from Kingston to the Manitoba Border, 3 days for sane drivers.
Yes! The great adventure to the Yukon Territories continues. Wesley looked like he was enjoying himself and getting lots of rest. I hope you had that tyre repaired before venturing onto the Alaskan Highway? So looking forward to your next upload. Cheers!!!!

Dada wants to snuggle you! Haha, ya I love him so much it’s out of control!!! I can’t even handle it sometimes. Thanks very much for that and for watching
If I drank a can of that Redbull, I'd be awake for a week, and might not live. LOL Coffee effects me enough, as well as Mountain Dew. I drank an energy drink one time driving to Gulf Shores Alabama from Wisc., and I woke up with a hamstring cramp so bad, I was black and blue down the back of my leg for 3 weeks. That was a nice look on the beach. Damn - those sausage/egg sandwiches look awesome!
Such a cool and blessed family getting on well with each other on that epic journey of yours.. Excellent video footage.. God bless you and your family and enjoy yourselves.. Shalom and love from Bru Andrew in Cape Town.. Cheers!! 👍🙏❤️🤗🌟
don't worry about what the trucker told you, you might get white knuckles like his but it's amazing .i had the same trucker tell me the last thing to do is stop over Truckee Cali. in a snow storm
I love how every adventure, whether it’s kayak, canoe, foot or even car revolves around distance traveled each day. Lol 😂. Guess that’s how it goes when trying to reach a destination.
@@JimBairdAdventurer I always do. I especially liked when you were still RedBull narrating about the trailer heater and Tori tells you she is trying to get some sleep! Hilarious!
Indeed, I worked in the production side for three weeks for this season and did some filming but won’t be able to out the vid out until after the show airs. That would be cool if they did a champions season for sure!
Apparently it’s been straightens out in a lot of areas too so you dint get as many views, you look at the same view for longer. I wish a lot of things were still like they were in 76. Shit, I wouldn’t have to go to all this trouble making YT vids, just a camera and a pen would have gotten me as far then.
Haha, no worries, that’s why I left it in. Ya that was cool with the full moon setting like that. It happened right before I started filling up the generator that morning so I dropped that and ran over to film it.
Enjoying the series, looking forward to more. I carry a cordless DeWalt impact gun just in case, will take a lug nut off tout sweet. Adventures are always good!👍
Your filming and editing is fantastic. Really great considering youre on a schedule. Felt like I was watching a real Hollywood film!! Thanks so much to all three of you. Happy Mothers Day today Tori🌹
Changing a tire on an epic road trip IS "wonderful content" !!! There is never a journey without risk. And surely life without journeys won't suffice! Love to your family. 👍🇨🇦😉💜 p.s. you covered a hell of long ways in 4 days!!! WOW!
Thanks for sharing. You're not an experienced vehicle overlander as I can see. I'm glad that your son is on the trip :) Your steel wheels need steel-wheel nuts - you're using alloy-wheel nuts. Two different torque settings. For tug and trailer you should have two, high quality bottle jacks, a bottle jack stand and a wheel wedge. You need something under the raised vehicle in case the OEM jack decides to take a rest on your head. You need a tyre plug-kit. I won't go on and on as I know that the series has been filmed already. I'm from dry (sometimes wet) Australia and love the outback. I'd never drive on ice and snow - so good on you.
Thanks for watching, I do have a plug kit and compressor and also a little dish soap. I always carry this stuff as well as a chain, tire goop, jumpers and a few other things. Good tips you’ve shared. Have a good one mate
Oh, the tire had to be my fav. What were the chances? You held it together and got it done! I said to myself, "if Jim can survive the French River, he can change this tire!" haha! It was a good thing though that Tory was there to supervise and assist you. lol Wesley is a real trooper and what a sweetie, wonderful family adventure. Looking forward to seeing what the storm brings! Thanks for sharing. :) :)

Troopers you guys are! Can't wait for the snowstorm part. LOL
Thanks a lot
I love how JB Adventurer can make a video about changing a tire, breakfast, lunch and breakfast so entertaining.👍

brother the part around 7:30 playing with Wesley melted my heart! I never plan on having kids, but you two make it seem worth it. A great video series; I'll be watching everyone! best
Omg, that sounds horrible. The stuff doesn’t seem to do a whole ton for me unfortunately. Sounds like quite the road trip you had there!
Keeps getting better and better
Thanks a lot
Such a cool and blessed family getting on well with each other on that epic journey of yours.. Excellent video footage.. God bless you and your family and enjoy yourselves.. Shalom and love from Bru Andrew in Cape Town.. Cheers!! 👍🙏❤️🤗🌟
don't worry about what the trucker told you, you might get white knuckles like his but it's amazing .i had the same trucker tell me the last thing to do is stop over Truckee Cali. in a snow storm
Thank you so much for taking us along! Ya'll rock! Prayers up during your adventures!
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE AWESOME VIDEOS!!
You’re very welcome
If you ever get a new pot that one deserves a spot on the wall of fame. I think I've seen it used on a number of trips.
I am emotionally attached to it
Another great episode!
Thanks!
Just not right not seeing Jim have 3 packs of oatmeal and coffee for breakfast. LOL
Right? Lol
Great trip so far.
How little Wesley is so good!!!!
Loved watching this video. I didn't want it to end. Thanks for posting.
I love how every adventure, whether it’s kayak, canoe, foot or even car revolves around distance traveled each day. Lol 😂. Guess that’s how it goes when trying to reach a destination.
Been waiting for this drop all day.
Nice man, hope ya like it!
@@JimBairdAdventurer I always do. I especially liked when you were still RedBull narrating about the trailer heater and Tori tells you she is trying to get some sleep! Hilarious!
Love it. I noticed Alone starts in June, They need all the champions on there some day.
Indeed, I worked in the production side for three weeks for this season and did some filming but won’t be able to out the vid out until after the show airs. That would be cool if they did a champions season for sure!
@@JimBairdAdventurer 💯bring you back to slay it alone!!!!
Little tip...put tomato on those breakfast sandos!
I have made that trip a few times, always going up the Alcan. In 76 none of it was paved
Oh, yeah, been waiting all week for this to drop!!! You and the fam are set, get the problems out of the way early!!
so nice to see you on your travel with your son, looking forward to your nest update, greetings from Norway
I am really enjoying following along on this adventure with you and family (here from Atlanta GA. US.)
I enjoyed your flat. Sorry but it was adventure. That full moon shot was awesome. Wildlife always a plus. Good content all the way.
Haha, no worries, that’s why I left it in. Ya that was cool with the full moon setting like that. It happened right before I started filling up the generator that morning so I dropped that and ran over to film it.
Great video love this adventure. 🙂🇨🇦👍
Enjoying the series, looking forward to more. I carry a cordless DeWalt impact gun just in case, will take a lug nut off tout sweet. Adventures are always good!👍
Good call! Thanks a lot
WOW!
Thanks very much and he’s, this is true
Nice Video/Adventure......🙄👍
Great as usual.....🦘
Thanks 👍
20:31...what did you say,Jim..??!!🤣👍💪
I said - “this is some good eatin’ sandwich” I think the reference is from a movie called Freejack
Thanks for sharing. You're not an experienced vehicle overlander as I can see.
I'm glad that your son is on the trip :)
Your steel wheels need steel-wheel nuts - you're using alloy-wheel nuts.
Great video, as always! Enjoy the trip and be safe!
Big thanks and will do!
That was great what an adventure
Familiar places ! I stopped at the same place you had the tomato 🍅!!!
No kidding! What are the odds?
@@JimBairdAdventurer Same route! Whitehorse is beautiful hopefully yall make it there safe !
Cool, well no spoilers but whatever happens it couldn’t be that bad or else...who would be typing this?
Doing what needs to get. Done 👍👍
Indeed, thanks
Oh, the tire had to be my fav. What were the chances? You held it together and got it done! I said to myself, "if Jim can survive the French River, he can change this tire!" haha! It was a good thing though that Tory was there to supervise and assist you. lol Wesley is a real trooper and what a sweetie, wonderful family adventure. Looking forward to seeing what the storm brings! Thanks for sharing. :) :)
REAL adventure continues, I just popped open a can of beer and peanuts, bring it on!
Nice, enjoy!
At least you had a decent pull off area to deal with the tire, which is never fun. We love our 4 runner! I subscribed to catch all of your journey.
Ya we got lucky there for sure and it wasn’t loosing air super fast surprisingly. Thanks for subbing, great to have ya here. Love 4Runners
Arghhhh cant wait! Please post soon!!! But Torry did say it right the 1st time... i was even surprise with her french accent its perfect lolll grandes prairies :-)
Nice, she’ll be happy to hear that! Will get the next one up Friday
My favourite part was Tori telling you the bun was upside down. I didn’t even notice it and evidently neither did you 😅
I caused her of being OCD when I saw that in the edit but I left it in hoping someone could appetite it and you did haha...thanks a lot for watching
12:34 We wouldn't mind yous pulling over there, remember Friendly Manitoba, ha!
