The folks badgering him about the lighting and sound need to chill out. Enjoy that he is building an awesome truck and taking us along the adventure. Also realize he left a successful channel to go out on his own and risk everything! You do you Tom!
There's a certain amount of magic in that "Q & A on the PB&J Couch" segment. Consider this your encouragement to make that a permanent feature to your channel.
I didn’t even notice the bad lighting or echo until you mentioned it! lol, look for good stories and awesome fab skills, and one that loves what they are doing.
Every video You do I watch to the end and always enjoy. No over the top antics just a guy with a plan and sharing it with people who have common interest. Nice work Tom.
Jesus Christ! The people complaining about the lighting and sounds in his garage, are you kidding me? It’s a garage for crying out loud. What does your garage look like? Is it set up with lights and sound equipment? Is it set up as a recording studio? Then shut up about his garage, it suits him fine. He doesn’t need a recording studio to make him happy.
I never noticed the lighting, and I think the sound is great on these videos, guess the content has just been to much fun to notice those things for me. Sound mixing and video editing is awesome, and the story telling is awesome as well. Look forward to these videos every Sunday morning, first on my watch list. Great job Tom and Crew.
Pool noodles! Absolutely brilliant - and it really does show us all what your plan is. And to be honest, the sound and lighting has never bothered me......
Ahhhh, Tom, releasing the inner child at heart. As an engineer, I really love listening to your rational thoughts on reasoning behind your designing. When I watched you cutting the tops off the trailing arms, I thought you were making a terrible mistake, only for you to tell me exactly what I had been thinking and that you had plans for adding the strength back in. Confidence in, and respect for you, now reinforced.
Hi Tom Tom, Congratulations on achieving your 100K subscribers milestone. Looks like you'll be hitting 200K soon. I really enjoy watching your videos. The way you tell your story is simple and clear, no b.s. ing around! Angela also is great with the video camera. Your Dig Dug build is coming along great and I am sure it'll turn out awesome. Looking forward to your next DD build video. All the best to you and Angela. Cheers bro!
As a certified Pool Technician ., I thought I’d seen every use of a pool noodle.. I was wrong!! I couldn’t figure out how your shocks were going to mount up top.. Now I Do. Thanks for the colorful visual, Tom. That old Square Body is really starting to come together.. Pretty beefy stuff.. congrats on the Ut Plaque… Great Stuff Tom. Keep them Coming..
Agreed, those fenders are cool. Maybe you could cut the fenders in half and insert a plate in the middle to elongate them and be able to re-use them. Greetings from France
I think Tom Tom’s shop with the lighting and sounds gives it a more down to earth tone and not just another company making videos, after all that is how the average guys shop looks and sounds anyway, but I will be watching your videos regardless. Great job on the TH-cam mile stone Tom, I look forward to your videos.
Tom Tom !! The truck is coming along nicely. I liked it before and it just gets better and better. The 'pool noodle' hack is excellent, much better than using wire. I'm very happy to see I am not the only pool noodle Jedi.......
Seriously, i think the channel success could not happen to a nicer guy! I appreciate your intelligence, demeanor, work ethic, design talent, and sense of humor. BtW Tom Tom, try grilling that PB&J !
I definitely don't watch for the production value, and if anything the opposite. The thing I love about Tom, Matt, Paul and others, is the realism, problem solving, and all-around comradery. It's wholesome and educational and entertaining. So you just do you Tom!
Great vid Tom and I couldn't care less about the lighting or sound. They both work fine for me and the farther you stay from the over-produced style so many channels succumb to, the better.
Geez Tom, you shouldn't fret at all regarding lighting and echos. You proudly use what you have and, as you explained, you will eventually upgrade when it is feasible and financially possible. TH-cam's unfettered comment system unleashed a hoard of unqualified critics who never seem to be satisfied. You create a truly informative content that brings myself, and many others, a great degree of satisfaction. Keep up the great work!
Hey Tom.. A little trick I've learned from many "pro street" and "bracket car" drag racing builds.. When you have to weld in a bracket that is factory riveted and painted, use a torch to burn off the paint first followed by a stiff wire wheel or a round mandrel mounted kind you can put in a drill or die grinder.. You'll still get a few "gas holes" but far less and smaller than sanding alone...
I could care less about the lighting or sound. I watch to see you and your vision as they progress through this build and whatever else you want to share with us. Love the pool noodle idea!
Congratulations on your plaque. Your channel has grown fast and continues to grow. I am sure much is related to the way you understand all the geometry of suspensions and the simple explanations you give to help us understand the why and how the measurements matter, even when we really don't understand why and how they matter! If there are any pool noodles left over, maybe you can tape them to the wall to calm the echo.
Who cares about the sound and light. What’s what makes the videos better. It’s a real shop. Not a tv shop like other shops. Keep up the great work. Don’t read the comments. Keep doing your thing. That’s what’s rad about you. Keep it real, don’t turn your shop into a tv shop!!
Who else thinks that "PB&J time with Tom Tom" should become a regular segment on the channel? An opportunity to answer viewer questions and take a well-earned break with a sandwich? 🥪😀
PB&J time would be a fun segment. I’ve been saying since the Gold Nugget rescue he needs to do a Camp Cooking with Tomtom series. It could be sort of a trail side blog with guests or just TomTom answering viewer questions.
Lighting and Sound? You mean Tom doesn't spend countless hours and waste money on crap that doesn't matter when you're building incredible machines? Hmmm, maybe he's just a normal dude, doing what he loves, and putting it all out there so kids living in their grandmas basement can critique him. Love it!
The folks badgering him about the lighting and sound need to chill out. Enjoy that he is building an awesome truck and taking us along the adventure. Also realize he left a successful channel to go out on his own and risk everything! You do you Tom!
Videos look and sound fine. Samsung 4K tv watching at 1080p. Fiber line. Videos are fine.
Echo, echo, echo
It’s a garage, live with it. I wish I had the height and a lift.
I never noticed an issue with the lights or the sound, maybe I just don’t have a keen eye or ear😊!
There's for sure some improvements to be made with audio quality but it has never hindered my ability to understand and enjoy these videos!
I appreciate the garage "sound" and lighting.
The best part was seeing Matt's claw clawer put to use.
I have to agree. That was pretty awesome.
I'm a simple man. I see Tom Tom, I click. Thats just it.
Simple as that.
he reminds me of me, a shade tree mechanic that's just trying to do his best
Agreed, Tom Tom is simple and smart 😀
I appreciate the garage "sound" and lighting. Enjoy that he is building an awesome truck and taking us along the adventure. 🥰
There's a certain amount of magic in that "Q & A on the PB&J Couch" segment.
Consider this your encouragement to make that a permanent feature to your channel.
That’s all TomTom. He should own that and do it instead of copying Matt and Robby. Be your own man Tom Tom!!
was coming in for exactly this sentiment, 100% should be a reoccurring segment on the show!
I posted a comment to this effect myself before realising that this had already been raised. Excellent idea! 👍🥪
I agree. I like how Tom directly and kinda consistently addresses comments from us. I think it’s a big plus to the channel.
I didn’t even notice the bad lighting or echo until you mentioned it! lol, look for good stories and awesome fab skills, and one that loves what they are doing.
Tom Tom, the Nuclear Scientist who teaches us simple mechanics. Cool!
@AlbertSpeer-jv4xn I kinda agree¿
I think Tom just wanted to build his own Empire so to say.
Tom Tom everything that people are complaining about is what I like about your start up channel.
Lighting and sound are just fine. Thank you for the great work you are doing.
Tom has showed us CAD (Cardboard Aided Design) and now NAD (Noodle Aided Design). BRILLIANT!! LOL!!!
No complaints, no suggestions. Just like watching, keep doing what your doing.
Thank you!!!
The geometry is spot on. Lol. Engineer at work!
I apreciate how you bring us into your thoughts instead of just showing you doing stuff.
The reasons you're building this truck are the reasons I like your channel.
Shows us his 100K subscribers award...and he's already approaching 200K subs. You go Tom!!
HOLY COW, I have not laughed so hard in ages......
GREAT visualization.
People, RELAX, PLEASE let Tom be Tom.
Pool noodles for the win!! Love Dig Dug. Can’t wait to see it finished
I don't have any problems with lighting or sound. Works for me. Enjoy your channel.
Amen to that, if you want studio sound, find a boring channel in a studio.
Im glad to see someone working and building things in something closer to what the average viewer might have at home.
As the channel grows he will get better equipment and improve video/ sound quality then people will complain that it's not the same.
Really enjoy watching.
Loving the noodle aided design. Go NADs.
Using pool noodles as mockup for bracing and tubing: quite genius 😲
Pool noodles! Absolutely brilliant - and it really does show us all what your plan is. And to be honest, the sound and lighting has never bothered me......
The noodles were cool. The noodle sword was AWESOME! ⚔
The sound's fine and the lights are fine. The only thing we need is MORE TOM TOM!
Man those pool noodles are epic!
Mock up with duct tape and noodles. It really helps to envision the project. Nice to see your parts gal
Tom I am so glad you are working towards doing wrecker recovery your show is awesome
I like the way TomTom does his channel. No nonsense. With some humor thrown in.
No nonsense. With a little nonsense thrown in just for fun😁. Great vibe on this channel, keep it up Tom.
Love your channel, TomTom.
👌
I like how Tom builds with precision!
Megawhip....mega-light sabres....dig-mega-dug.....love it
Love the precision engineering approach to Tom Tom’s work.
Greetings from Romania ❤️🇷🇴
Tom you’re the best one man show on YT…keep up the good work and don’t try to please everyone just do your thing.
Ahhhh, Tom, releasing the inner child at heart. As an engineer, I really love listening to your rational thoughts on reasoning behind your designing. You are a great fabricator Tom

I like the echo. A little natural reverb is nice.

A pleasure to watch, and bonus: POOL NOODLES!
This was a fun video got a chuckle out of me with noodles lol

Tom's engineering skills derived from his nuclear physics background... how comforting! ☢
Tom Tom's Merch Shop definitely needs "11% Better" stickers.
Can't wait to see this truck rolling around town!
People must be picky I think your shop and videos are great the way they are you can’t please everyone
I just love your channel... keep them coming!!!
Great vid Tom and I couldn't care less about the lighting or sound. They both work fine for me and the farther you stay from the over-produced style so many channels succumb to, the better.
Hi TOM TOM you know your stuff have a great week coming up BP NZ
Pool Noodle Aided Design. PNAD even better than CAD. Genius
Congratulations Tom on the 100k 👍👍👍
Pool noodles great idea. The sound adds to the build. I run sound every week and I like the raw sound of a shop environment. 😊
Geez Tom, you shouldn't fret at all regarding lighting and echos. You proudly use what you have and, as you explained, you will eventually upgrade when it is feasible and financially possible. Thanks for explaining the gas tank placement. I figured you figured.

LOVE THE NOODLE MOCK UP !!!
I could care less about the lighting or sound. I watch to see you and your vision as they progress through this build and whatever else you want to share with us. Love the pool noodle idea!
TOM TOM is an instant watch for me, no matter what the quality 😊
Congratulations on your plaque. Your channel has grown fast and continues to grow.

Thread Repair Files are handy at times. Available standard and metric pitches.
Someone beat me to this comment. Also handy for fixing pipe threads.
Looking great Tom!
Man those are some killer looking shocks

Thanks for all the content. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Looking forward to you continuing the build and
Congratulations on the play button 🎉🎉🎉
I like your build plan for DigDug . I'm looking forward to seeing it built, loaded, and in action!
Thanks For Sharing Tom Tom And Co. 🤠
Gives (Noodling) a whole new meaning. 🐟
Tom, you always have a great backup plan for your plans. Top shelf fabricating with no "sketchy stuff" .
If some people want to donate things for Tom’s shop let him know what you might have to help him it’s just his wife and son and neighbor
I second that!!!
I’m really happy to see Tom Tom get his own channel! Congrats 🎉 I can’t wait to see how dig dug comes out!!!
I am glad you didn't do a test ride to the top of the world with the pool noodles. LOL
Keep up the good work. Really enjoying the videos.
Really enjoying this build. As a fellow engineer I appreciate the precision of your work and explanations.
Love the channel. Loving the build. Makes me want to go out and fab something.
Keep doin your thing Tom Tom! Much love ❤️
Yep I see it fighting corvairs with his trusty light Saber. Then plants mega whips on his opponent! Love the videos, keep up the great work.
❤ You put in your time and now you've got your own show, so proud of you keep the content coming ❤
We love the square body, and we don’t mind the sound and lights. It was great to meet you at the Off Road Games.
Creative use of pool noodles😂
Who else thinks that "PB&J time with Tom Tom" should become a regular segment on the channel? An opportunity to answer viewer questions and take a well-earned break with a sandwich? 🥪😀

I’m down

Looking good. Hope that is the start of your color scheme.
Lighting and Sound? You mean Tom doesn't spend countless hours and waste money on crap that doesn't matter when you're building incredible machines? Great engineering....better entertainment.
I like the noodle aided design. Great idea!
Congrats on the 100k! Rig is looking good. Any welding out of position tips would be much appreciated along the way. Let's wheeeeeeelll!!!
As you were hammering earlier I wondered where are the MORR-hammers and poof one appeared later. And then pool noodles!! Your videos have everything 😁
NAD... Noodle Assisted Design. Its the newest fad in Off-Road...... maybe even more than roof tents!!
I just love Tom's attitude makes this entire channel❤
You my friend are a true fabricator, such a relief to see on TH-cam. Thank you and please keep the videos coming!
Love your videos Tom keep them coming.
the transition from the circular saw to the sawsall was hilarious on that rear right fender cutting xD
You are the bright light Tom Tom that shines all over this great channel 🤩
