    I think the consensus is that everyone loves these “final price” videos and would love to see more in the future.

    As someone who doesn't collect firearms, it always blows me away how much money these go for! Not that I object to it or anything, it's just surprising.

    The Mini-14 FS/SS is a collectable gun. Seen just the stock sell for $1200, locally. A real Ruger folder is kinda rare regardless of how one views the platform.

    I really enjoyed your honest input throughout the video. Typically, when I see realized prices I keep asking myself "why?" and a video like this helps to put it into perspective. I think emotions play a fairly big role, especially with super rare and one of a kind pieces.

    Anyone get the feeling that with that MC-58 someone online accidentally forgot to add the decimal point in between 2 and 5; only to realize after he won the auction that he’d bid $10,925 and not $1,092.50?

    • @IntroSpectre6x3
      @IntroSpectre6x3 6 ปีที่แล้ว +36

      With Rock Island, that's not actually a possibility. They work in standard increments where you can spend substantially less than your bid if no one is bidding against you.
      However, if two people made more or less the same mistake you gave, it's definitely possible.

      The serial number could have had some significance to the buyer. Could have been previously owned by someone famous, mentioned by number in a historical document. Hard to tell what the reason was they were willing to go so high, but it takes two to get there.

      I think someone got their ego wrapped up in the auction or that was what he needed to finish off his H&K collection.

      That's what happens to me on ebay a lot of the time, although on a much smaller scale. I see a cool knife and throw a bid for $25-30 and it sits like that until the end and then finally sells at $70+, like nah I'll pass lol

    • @MrMacroJesseSky
      @MrMacroJesseSky 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      FairlyUnknown I think it’s because the market for the $3k and lower guns is MUCH larger, and the value of more rare and finer examples becomes subjective
