    I owned a 1911 Singer in 1963. I sold it to by boss for $40. I'm gonna go outside now a barf.

    Many years ago, before security cameras where common, I visited Sagamore hill, Teddy's house, you could literally walk around unescorted, go into the rooms and the guns where in cases unlocked. When someone stole a gun in the year that escapes me, they realized their mistake I guess. Havent been there in 40 plus years, and I bet its pretty tight now judging by the worth of those things now

    I met a guy that worked at Leterkenny Army Depot. He showed me a crushed slide from a Singer 1911 that our government destroyed.
