Many years ago, before security cameras where common, I visited Sagamore hill, Teddy's house, you could literally walk around unescorted, go into the rooms and the guns where in cases unlocked. When someone stole a gun in the year that escapes me, they realized their mistake I guess. Havent been there in 40 plus years, and I bet its pretty tight now judging by the worth of those things now
I owned a 1911 Singer in 1963. I sold it to by boss for $40. I'm gonna go outside now a barf.
Theodore Roosevelt, not only the president, but a very tough man.
Awesome piece of history 👍🏼
I love how Colt peace makers spell out Colt when the hammer is cocked

WOW simply amazing such beautiful firearms.
I met a guy that worked at Leterkenny Army Depot. He showed me a crushed slide from a Singer 1911 that our government destroyed.
Thank you so much.
I needed some beauty in my day.
That would be so special to own Teddy Roosevelts pistol!!!! Awesome auction!!!
I thought the finale bid on Teddy Roosevelt’s Colt was 1.275 mil?
Plus 15% buyers premium RIA charges - that is where they get the $1446250
