16:05 What is even more ironic is because the emperor has countless billions praying to him, their faith actually helps him and makes his psychic powers stronger in the warp. So faith is one of the few things helping him fight for so long over the last 10,000 years.
Deliverance Lost is about Raven Guard set in the Horus Heresy, but I recommend reading the first five Horus heresy books before moving on to any of the other books

@14:30 (Regarding the dune striders they keep running) They work off a "Perpetual Engine" which requires no fuel or power supply of any sort. The startup process was lost when the inventor died however. Though the productions lines created by him are still functional, the engines leave the line already running. To continue this quote of said TH-camr, "We're talking 8ft tall, 800-pound monsters that look like Hulk Hogan ate Boogie2988 and covered himself in a steel suit of armor the size of a Range Rover."

Can't remember what book it was but the Deathwatch is the Inquisitions special strike force. All Astartes there are the 'best of the best' in a sense and are chosen from their respective chapters. So they can come from various chapters, much like a multinational force.
Once you're done with this series I'd recommend watching "If the emperor had a text to speech device", which expands on the lore by making a parody out of the what if scenario in its name
Luke one of the cool things about the Imperium in the tabletop game is that it is possible to collect an army formed as a "coalition force" of all the different factions you saw in the video, so like what you said you honestly as an example could have some Space Wolves as your characters and elite units, Astra Militarium as your main body of the coalition and then have the Sisters of Battle providing everything else you need/want
Not only is the faith in the Emporer the exact opposite of what he wanted, but the holy text "Lectitio Divinitatus" was written by the first of his Primarch sons to fall to Chaos, Lorgar. The irony is just so good.
'What organs could they add?' Another heart, the Ossmodula and Biscopea to make those boys big and strong, secondary stomach, another liver and lung system and a crap ton of other things including tech and bio-tech augments. I think there is a series that goes over the common grounds of how Space Marines are made then breaks off how each are different and augmented by their specific Gene-Seed.
The emperor is as much a prisoner of the religion as anyone else at this point. This is effectively his Frankenstein's monster that has been released far into the future.
Yeah, the biggest ongoing lesson in the Warhammer 40k universe seens to be "As it turns out good interpretation skills are a very underestimated part of *everything not eventualy going to shit"*
@@mzrl4269 Not very classy! You don't see me begging for watches and likes. At least have the decency to pretend to be interested in the topic at hand!
Also, remember that Imperial forces work together often even on the tabletop game. Often the inquisition used the Sisters of Battle and Inquisitorial Stormtroopers and even whole Imperial Guard Regiments not to mention other specialists like Grey Knights (daemon hunters) Imperial Knights, Death Watch (xeno hunters) etc. The Imperium has so many different military forces (who even sometimes fight each other)
that series lost me around part 15 to 20. until then it was fun and you need a good deal of lore to even get most of the jokes. after that it started to get into its own plotline full of absurdity and satire. not my taste to be honest. i can like good natured satire like spaceballs. where fun is made of iconic parts of the source without insulting the source. But others, like the later scary movies for example trample on and insulting the source to get the laugh. and i cant laugh about that. and thats what TTS started to become, so i noped out.
@@ricwalker6600 I don't really see that, I absolutely hate the scary movie series (anything that bashes the original source annoys the hell out of me). But I love the tts series, it work's within the confines of canon (ish), hell it's even following canon into 8 edition, most of the things they add are things that are left blank in the canon (only rogal dorn hand being found and things like that) and naturally expanding from what those events would cause. Hell I'd say the earlier episodes were more about bashing than the later episodes since they were all about the inconsistency of canon 40k (the too perfect ultra-marines, the inquisition ect without adding anything too them). I've never seen it really go full into bashing the original source (a few went close but even then it worked within the narrative), hell even the episodes you mentioned works with canon rather than against it: ep-15 is shown to be mostly biased from the custodes (hell the emperor even called it out) from an unseen past (which was expanded upon in a later short), ep 16-17 focuses on the past and work within what we know from canon, ep 18 I'll skip for spoiler reasons since it has importance later on in the show, ep- 19 starts with the common heresy meme for laughs, but then discusses the nature of chaos and how the arguing pairs different ideology's would shape how they see chaos, ep-20 is probably the closest to a bash episode in the entire series, but it works with later episodes (for example the episode after this makes it seem like calgar did something that is causing the ultra marines insane luck) mostly pointing out the perfect ultra marines (for I think the 2nd to last time, after the next episode they barely mention them) but also mentioning the salamanders habit of fire and cult like practises (let's face facts the emperor would have a problem with that), and finally bringing the dark angels obsession with secrecy and drive to find the fallen. The thing is the episodes you mentioned are when people not from the 40k fandom started to find it (I know for a fact a lot of people started to get into 40k because of this series) and these episodes work as a introduction to these factions, that they will expand upon later in the series. for example the ultra marines got hints of an in universe explanation for their perfection from calgar in ep-21 and from events later in the series they are more than likely to have a big part in the next episode to come (or more likely the one after that).
It's worth mentioning that, amid all the praying and chanting and incense, Techpriest rituals to appease the machine spirit also include actions like 'oiling moving parts', 'replacing worn-out/damaged parts with fresh ones', 'splicing and soldering wiring' and 'coding, upgrading, and programming software.' It really isn't the praying that's making the stuff work.
Yeah, you'll have a lot of fun with the Horus Heresy books. Especially the first is really good! They can differ quite a bit in terms of overall writing quality because of all the different authors involved, but it's a great series nontheless. And there is like a bazillion books.
If you want to see more of bricky talk about 40k he has a podcast called adeptus ridiculous (you can find it here on TH-cam if you just search it up) where he explains the lore to his friend DK with each episode around an hour long but he goes into more detail than he does here
To answer your question about extra organs: there are several. An extra heart and lung, organs that deal with poison, let them eat anything, spit acid, faster reactions, link to their armor ect.
The Adeptus Mechanicus have a great relationship with the Iron Hands Space Marines. Iron Hands motto is "The Flesh is Weak" and that mentality cozies up nicely with the Adeptus Mechanicus way of thinking. So Iron Hands get priority on all the cool toys.
There's a youtube channel called "Aborderprince" who reads a lot of warhammer stories. He reads a book of sort stories called "let the galaxy burn" and as someone who's only been into warhammer lore but can't read for very long it's just amazing.
Watching the slow induction of someone into the Warhammer universe.... One of us... One of us... One of us... One of us... One of us... One of us... One of us... One of us...
one of the main themes throughout the Horus Heresy, and especially the Siege of Terra, is the slow and unwanted deification of the Emperor. So it definitely isn't a point that gets glossed over and which suddenly sprouts out of nowhere.
After you watch these videos I recommend you look at if the emperor had a text to speech device it will explain more law and puts it in a funny comedic way I highly recommend
The sisters of battle are so insanely zeolite that when they started as the "Brides of the Empiror" they were able to holding back the space marines. They are entirely human and they were giving superhumans in powerarmor an issue. They are batshit crazy and I adore them.
"The 2011 Honda Civic" The mechanicum does feel like that, doesn't it? Average, tries to look all cool and edgy but totally misses the mark, and you have to pray for it to work. lol
Bricky, one thing to note about the Horus Heresy stories is that they aren’t exactly a series that goes volume 1 volume 2 volume 3, they all kinda take place at different times and locations based upon who the author wanted to write about. So there are some books that take place before the heresy happened and others during it.
Some examples of the organs and such modifications. Their ribcage is fused into a solid state so it’s basically a breast plate under their skin, night vision, the ability to eat poisonous stuff if they need to eat (they can go days to weeks without food), ability to spit acid, able to eat the flesh of an enemy and see the persons recent memories, 2 hearts and 3 lungs, instant cloterizing blood, ability to stand radiation, also I think it’s called the red sleep but basically when a space marine is severely injured their body will go into basically a coma state as so that they use the least amount of energy possible till they can get medical attention.
Also many chapters have little quirks in their gene seed that are unique to them or are simply just mutations from problems in the gene seed for example the Black Dragons who have spikes grow out of their arms or the most well known being the Space Wolves who’s gene seed makes them have yellow wolf eyes, wolf teeth, and extreme amounts of hair. Also many die when they install these gene seeds or they die while trying to become a space marine. One cool one to note is that it is said “There are no wolves on Fenris” (space wolf homeworld) because when the initiates get the gene seed they are taken far from the castle and stripped of their clothes and the test is for them to make their way back to the castle they the hellish snow scape and if they make it they are indoctrinated into their ranks but if they don’t their body can’t control the gene seed that then turns them into a wolf fully. For other chapters those that fail but didn’t did have another gruesome fate, they are turned into Servitors. Basically you are lobotomized, have Your limbs cut off and replaced with mechanical parts and programmed to do ONE job for as long as your body can, the scary part being not all lobotimizing works and some are still conscious but can no longer move their body and are just passengers inside kinda like the movie Get Out. On a different side not was the “redacted” of the Dark Angels which is an army I play. Basically during the great crusade the Primarch Lion El’Jhonson got angry at half his legion and sent them back to Caliban (Dark Angel planet) as a punishment “to train the recruits” which they knew was BS and they felt abandoned. So after the fight between Horus and the Emperor was done with The Lion returned to Caliban but instead of a warm welcome the Dark Angels on the planet opened fire on him. He then bombarded the planet in rage not realizing the damage he was doing, then he landed on the planet and fought the one in charge who was the man that raised him and use to be his second in command, Luther. On a side note Luther was not a full space marine due to being to old at the time of discovery so he was given certain upgrades to compete with marines but wasn’t a full one himself yet was the 2nd in command of a legion cause he was that badass. So the two of them fight with Luther being bolstered by chaos and fighting as an equal to The Lion until he severely wounded him but realized what he did and couldn’t kill him, as such the chaos powers opened a warp rift at the planet shattering it and dragging all the traitor angels in and throwing them they space and time. Ever since then the Dark Angels have called themselves The Unforgiven and have always been on this secret mission to find and kill every member of The Fallen to wipe their shame and regain their honor. The Lion disappeared and Luther has been in a stasis cell which prevents him from aging for the last 10,000 years, but in the newest codexs it is stated that the Lion actually is in a secret chamber of The Rock (last chunk of the planet that didn’t break apart and is now a space fortress that can move) sleeping with his wounds healed, and that during an attack Luther has escaped.
I love how one of the thousand sons said something like: fighting the space wolves is rather easy you only need to aim for their head. Because Space Wolves tend to not wear helmets.
My favorite aspect of Space Marine physiology are their fused rib cages. No under-the-armpit stealth kills to these boys. The don't have ribcages, more like rib-boxes.
Aside from the salamanders, other space marine chapters also care for normal humans. The space wolves for example usually are sympathetic to their troops and civilians if they don't have the orders to leave none alive.
The blue ones are the poster boys. There perfect. Best training, best gear, best leader, no major flaws, best home planet and system. They could make a rock come to life and cry tears of joy if the plot demands it.
From what I understand, Back when the Emperor finally revealed himself and began his crusade to re-unite humanity, the Adeptus Mechanicus had long been an established power on Mars. And rather than subjugate them he entered an alliance with them seeing they were basically a super power and war would just leave the winner devastated. An alliance is both easier and the Adeptus Mechanicus had the means to support humanity in general through their vast knowledge of technology
Fun fact about space marines: there's a in universe phenomenon called Transhuman Dread where a space marine going balls out on the battlefield can cause normal people to just lock up in sheer terror.
It's incredible seeing someone get completely confused while at the same time getting huge grins on their face when learning about WH40k lore, great video man!
Yeah, the Ultramarines are the ones most people outside of the hobby think of when they hear Space Marine. And Bricky is very accurate when he says they're a bit too strong
My personal book recommendation that gives a very good insight into the Mechanicus is the "Lords of Mars" series. It's honestly amazing to read. It's a story of exploration told from three different perspectives of the explorers and the story only picks up the more you read it.
Each character has a chapter master and each chapter is in charge of maintaining his chapter as well as managing recruitment and battlefield deployments
the space marines have 19 additional organs implanted, the primaris have 22 new organs. "Deliverance" is a book about the Raven Guard legions primarch Corax
1:30 "what sort of organs could they possibly add?" not much, just a second heart, a third lung and other stuff, you know, in case the first one got stabbed or something.
Dealing with the Warp has always been a matter of sheer willpower. I'm a bit out of date so I don't know if it's still a thing or not, but "Deny the Witch" was a test that any character within certain range of a Psycher casting a psychic attack could take, in attempt to negate that psychic attack.
One thing to keep in mind if you're looking at Space Marines is that he dosen't really touch on Chapters very much in this video. During the Heresy there were the Legions led by the Primarchs like he said, but after half rebelled against the Emperor the Ultramarines Primarch organized a new structure called Chapters which are 1000 man (roughly) groups as opposed to the 100s of thousands that the legions had. So there are a TON of canon space marine Chapters out there right now in every style you could imagine.
the Black Library novel "Night Haunter" is not about the ravenguard (its about the night lord's primarch and his descent into murder insanity), but it mentions the Raven Guard and their primarch. a band of nightlords are fighting through a city that they are in the process of bombing from orbit to try and find Kurze. when they find him, their armour sensors begin alarming of hostiles in the area but they cant see anything. suddenly, a raven guard strike force appears around them, melting out of the shadows with Corvus Corax (the raven guard primarch) appearing to step out of a shadow that was unfeasibly small to hide such a large man. again, it is not a raven guard book but I highly recommend giving it a read, it helped me come to love the character of Konrad Kurze, such a tragic story of a man with so much potential being abandoned by his father (Big E)

@@myth5588 Nice, just watched the teaser definitely something to keep an eye on, thanks.

There is also a belief in the

Keep this series going man, your reactions are gold - for the emperor!
'Deliverance Lost' from Horus Heresy books talks about Raven Guard story.
Everyone laughs at dropping churches from the sky, meanwhile I'm sitting here, sobbing in Russian

I am curious what your referring to as well

I linked the video. It's in Russian, but it doesn't really matter, I basically already told what it's about

Screw the video I was watching before this. Been waiting for Part 2. HYPED!
Glad you’re continuing to do these, getting me into 40K now!
16:05 What is even more ironic is because the emperor has countless billions praying to him, their faith actually helps him and makes his psychic powers stronger in the warp. So faith is one of the few things helping him fight for so long over the last 10,000 years.
9 mins...
TH-cam finally notified me in time of the videos I want to watch.
Glad you're just enjoying the lore alone bro!
It's a great hobby to just read, let alone collect, paint and play.
Deliverance Lost is about Raven Guard set in the Horus Heresy, but I recommend reading the first five Horus heresy books before moving on to any of the other books
Yeah he probably wants at least the basics of the beginning of the war first... Probably help if he read that one about the Alpha legion too... Was that one called "Legion" or "I am Legion" or something? It's been a while, I forgot what the title was...
@14:30 (Regarding the dune striders they keep running) They work off a "Perpetual Engine" which requires no fuel or power supply of any sort. The startup process was lost when the inventor died however. Though the productions lines created by him are still functional, the engines leave the line already running. To turn them off is the same thing as destroying them as far as the Ad-Mec are concerned.
To quote a certain other youtuber, "We're talkin' two hearts. We're talkin' three lungs. We're talkin' night vision."

I normally don't enjoy watching people react to warhammer vids because they usually aren't interested but you sincere enthousiasm makes this super enjoyable!
Can't remember what book it was but the Deathwatch is the Inquisitions special strike force. All Astartes there are the 'best of the best' in a sense and are chosen from their respective chapters. So they can come from various chapters, much like a multinational force.
Just subscribed yesterday for more 40k stuff, and have been binge watching since 10AM today! Love your videos man!
Once you're done with this series I'd recommend watching "If the emperor had a text to speech device", which expands on the lore by making a parody out of the what if scenario in its name
Old school 40k lore fan here. Your enthusiasm is so addictive, please don't stop this series!
Can't be the only one who heard Robot Girlyman instead of Roboute Guilliman at 2:28
Luke one of the cool things about the Imperium in the tabletop game is that it is possible to collect an army formed as a "coalition force" of all the different factions you saw in the video, so like what you said you honestly as an example could have some Space Wolves as your characters and elite units, Astra Militarium as your main body of the coalition and then have the Sisters of Battle providing everything else you need/want
The machine god allows TH-cam to work so I can watch your content, big ups
Not only is the faith in the Emporer the exact opposite of what he wanted, but the holy text "Lectitio Divinitatus" was written by the first of his Primarch sons to fall to Chaos, Lorgar. The irony is just so good.
I love this reaction series. Imagine you started playing warhammer that would be the dream
'What organs could they add?'
Another heart, the Ossmodula and Biscopea to make those boys big and strong, secondary stomach, another liver and lung system and a crap ton of other things including tech and bio-tech augments. I think there is a series that goes over the common grounds of how Space Marines are made then breaks off how each are different and augmented by their specific Gene-Seed.
The emperor is as much a prisoner of the religion as anyone else at this point. This is effectively his Frankenstein's monster that has been released far into the future.
I hope everyone reading this comments family is blessed, all I ask you to do is watch my latest vid and maybe drop a like or sub!
The Imperium has so many different military forces (who even sometimes fight each other)
you should react to "If the emperor had text to speech device" series. It's warhammer 40k comedy
that series lost me around part 15 to 20. until then it was fun and you need a good deal of lore to even get most of the jokes. after that it started to get into its own plotline full of absurdity and satire. not my taste to be honest. i can like good natured satire like spaceballs. where fun is made of iconic parts of the source without insulting the source.
@@matthewmac5787 *the second you mention that particular short* NOT FUCKING CANON!!!!!
It's worth mentioning that, amid all the praying and chanting and incense, Techpriest rituals to appease the machine spirit also include actions like 'oiling moving parts', 'replacing worn-out/damaged parts with fresh ones', 'splicing and soldering wiring' and 'coding, upgrading, and programming software.'
It really isn't the praying that's making the stuff work.
Yeah, you'll have a lot of fun with the Horus Heresy books. Especially the first is really good! They can differ quite a bit in terms of overall writing quality because of all the different authors involved, but it's a great series nontheless. And there is like a bazillion books.
The Emperor is considered to be the avatar of the omnisire which is why they work with the imperium
At some point, watch "If the Emperor had a Text-to-Speech device" by Alfabusa
If you want to see more of bricky talk about 40k he has a podcast called adeptus ridiculous (you can find it here on TH-cam if you just search it up) where he explains the lore to his friend DK with each episode around an hour long but he goes into more detail than he does here
The Emperor Light shines upon you
Foolish bioform the hive mind desires you and your false gods bio matter and so it shall devour it
in the current 40k the legions are called chapters and all the initial legions have offshoots called "successor" primarchs
The added organs included 3 lungs and 2 hearts in case 1 gets damaged
And some special glands and stuff so they can survive in space
As well as ones that allow them to digest basically anything, let's them survive effectively any poison. It's a whole hodgepodge of nonsense lol
Oh and spitting acid
And one that makes their armour part of their body, which explains why they can move so quickly and react so fast.
To answer your question about extra organs: there are several. An extra heart and lung, organs that deal with poison, let them eat anything, spit acid, faster reactions, link to their armor ect.
I would like to see you react to the "If the emperor had a text to speech device". It's quite entertaining and educational.
Bricky's got a podcast where he explains parts of warhammer lore to people who don't know much about 40k. Maybe you could try to go on as a guest...

The book called Deliverance Lost (number 18 in Horus Heresy series) is about Corvus Corax, primarch of Raven Guard. I really enjoyed that one.
when you are so damn early he only has 4 views :D
one of the main themes throughout the Horus Heresy, and especially the Siege of Terra, is the slow and unwanted deification of the Emperor.
"The 2011 Honda Civic"
The mechanicum does feel like that, doesn't it?
Thing I like about the white scars is how unique they are. I've seen only a few instances of space Mongols.
Hell yes love this series and 40k in general.
I love this, been a Bricky fan for ages and it's a blast to see you explore this. Enjoy, and share more soon!!'
So I completely ignore them entirety cause they bore the shit outta me lol
Most Spacemarines also don't believe in Emperor as God, with certain exceptions.
So glad you are continuing with this. I wanna try to get into warhammer 40k as well so its good to see you reacting to this as well
It's incredible seeing someone get completely confused while at the same time getting huge grins on their face when learning about WH40k lore, great video man!
Yeah, the Ultramarines are the ones most people outside of the hobby think of when they hear Space Marine. And Bricky is very accurate when he says they're a bit too strong
I can't imagine his reaction when he learns about the Legio Custodes who make the space marines look like weaklings.
My personal book recommendation that gives a very good insight into the Mechanicus is the "Lords of Mars" series. It's honestly amazing to read. It's a story of exploration told from three different perspectives of the explorers and the story only picks up the more you read it.
YAY PART TWO Warhammer videos are always welcome in your community
Each character has a chapter master and each chapter is in charge of maintaining his chapter as well as managing recruitment and battlefield deployments
the space marines have 19 additional organs implanted, the primaris have 22 new organs.
"Deliverance" is a book about the Raven Guard legions primarch Corax
1:30 "what sort of organs could they possibly add?"
not much, just a second heart, a third lung and other stuff, you know, in case the first one got stabbed or something.
