    "Now it is only thanks to my immaculate self control that I only have 4 of these on hand now." There could be no better indication of someone who really understands this hobby. 😂 Save some self control for the rest of us!

    I love my Vidos, faaeal iris ancestor and nicehck yd30 on the way (both transprent, grey and clear😼) I fell on the earbud rabbit hole

    Vido is probably unbeatable for its price, especially on shopee where it can go even cheaper. I haven't tested that many buds, but my favourite for now is the Nicehck ME80, but sadly it has been discontinued. Definitely happy to see some love here for earbuds still, and hope will have more to come! :D

      Agreed on the Vidos. There still seems to be a ton of folks who love their buds ^^

    Have to agree with your comments about the TC200's, at first I got surprised with it because I thought it'll be too bright but it's also one of the better choices in this price range, soundstage is also great, btw, great video!

      It deffo got a bit grating for me after prolonged listening! But I can imagine someone who likes this sort of signature reaaaallly loving the TC200s!

    Nice review, thanks for this! There's definitely a place for low cost headphones and IEMs. In normal times I commute by train and prefer affordable gear that sounds OK and which won't reduce me to tears if I lose or destroy it over better gear for that use case. I use some Denon IEMs, I don't even know the model as i got them free using frequent flyer miles. I do use my Etymotic ER4SR for flying though, as the noise isolation is better than ANC with none of the vertigo effect.

    Thank you for making a video about earbuds, I've been wanting an upgrade from the monk plus and there isn't a lot of content about them.. would love a review of some higher priced earbuds with removable cables as well!
    Also great job with the filming, editing and b-roll, the video and audio quality are great now!

    I only have the TC200, my first entry into the world of decent chi-fi earbuds. But as a metal and anisongs listener I'm still on the lookout for something better. People say I should get either the Qian25 or Qian69.

I've been looking audiophile youtubers for a year now and you are the first woman I see soo... keep going you are doing great. Cool! I'm always looking out for some all-rounder budget buds to recommend or giveaway to friends, though. Trouble for me is: I am not able to really get past the coloration in the low mids for the bulk of them (and followed quickly by anaemic or muddy bass for most others). I might try to steal a listen the ones you've recommended (especially the Nameless) and see how it goes! In the meantime, please feel free to throw some names my way!

    • @asheryeo1337
      @asheryeo1337  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm normally pretty okay with some coloration in the low mids. But muddy bass is a no-no for me as well! The Nameless is really nice relaxed listening but seems to be pretty picky about it's source :) I think these are perfect to give away to kids who are curious about the hobby and want to find out more about how sound signatures differ from each other! Thank you for dropping by Kelvin!

    That shout out to NBBA 🙌
    Toneking TP16 is pretty good as well if you'd like to check them out. Its around 18 SGD on shopee, though when I first bought it there was only one seller carrying it and selling it at over 20. The mids and highs are really good on those; I love them for the vocal performance esp watching yt vids cos they sound natural to me. Had online lectures with it, my prof voice also sounded quite similar to when we had physical lectures (ofc not completely due to their mics, compression, stuff like that). But yea, I had vido blue, monk plus, monk lite but I've never went back to them.

    • @asheryeo1337
      @asheryeo1337  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmmm I think the best one I've heard from anisong in this selection are the vidos or the TC 200! They go some way in adding to the air and trebles that's so common in anisong. If you want to tamp that down though you can try K’s nameless!

    Heyo Ash! Kdee here, hehe your presentation is very well done, love the graphic design elements you added in to retain attention and spice up the video~
    Coming from a normie with zero earbud knowledge what are highs, mids and lows? Is it the pitch the singers sing at? The volume you play at?
    Keep up the great job! 🎶

    • @asheryeo1337
      @asheryeo1337  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Heyo Kdee! Thanks for dropping by! Highs mids and lows are the frequencies found in the song itself. Normally (and this may differ from song to song) the highs are any cymbals, hi hats or moments when the singer sings in a high, airy manner (you can look up Vitas if you want a textbook example of that), mids are the main melody and most of the singing, and lows are the nice thumpy drums or bass strings.
      You can visualize this: When we talk about "muddy" bass or "muddy" lows, it means that instead of playing in a "normal" way, the bass sounds like something you'd find in an ah beng handphone shops. (No hate to ah bengs, most of them have upgraded their speakers now)
