I used to hate on Post cause he isn't conventional hip hop, but I started seeing who he was outside of the music, and he's really grown on me. Dude is a genuinely dope guy that just wants to make dope music that's genre-less I stopped trying to keep him in the box of "just a rapper", and he's, ironically, just like a rockstar... making dope music and enjoying life, unapologetically.
I try to separate the art from the artist and post malones music is good but i couldnt care about the artist himself--thats some tmz us magazine shit that people eat up.
Just discovered yalls channel not too long ago and just have to say how much I enjoy both of yalls commentary. This is the gold standard for reaction channels, none of that staring at the screen motionless shit lol.
You guys are a very underrated channel. All these other reaction channels are made up of fluff and trash. These guys provide interesting perspectives and actually keep their audience engaged instead of pausing just to dodge a copyright strike. Keep it up guys!
I'm not certain that Post Malone's sole intention is to BE a rapper. He's just a musician hitting the market in a very intelligent way. Actually started with guitar and classic rock. You guys are right, dude just understands song structure.
Post Malone is one of those rappers where you're not gonna be completely engaged trying to figure out the lyrics, he's one of those rappers who you can just bump in the car and sing along to especially the melody
Hey there are rappers that are incredibly skilled that I will NEVER listen to. Although Post Malone is trash lyrically, he manages to sneak his way onto my playlist from time to time. Go figure.
If you actually understand the lyrics you would probably rap. I understand almost all that post says in the song since he raps a lot about rocstar in the 80 90 etc so try understand the lyrics first
When a artist is consistently creating good songs with arguably the best melodic flow in the game, he is clearly talented. Give credit where credit is due man. He can sing and when He raps his flow is smooth. Maybe the substance in his lyrics aren't super great, but they are definitely not horrible. Post Malone is not trash... 💯
Exactly! Facts! Post Malone can really sing live so I'm just wondering why they think he's trash? Calling someone trash is insinuating that they are not talented. His flow and delivery is nice and unique when he raps too. If the man can sing, he is talented!!! He has said it himself, he's not a rapper as well. I don't think they've seen him perform live...
His talent isn’t writing thought provoking lyrics. It’s his beat selection, flow, and his final product. It’s fun music and it deserves to be recognized.
Post is paying homage to all the old like 70s-80s rockstars. Like leaving his show in a cop car and throwing a TV from the Montage were things rockstars back in the day actually did, but I forgot their names. Just in case you didn’t know
These are such genuine reactions I respect this shit. Most people who upload reaction videos usually fake it and its so evident but you guys seem really interested and open to all types of music and are really good at suppressing your bias towards certain genres or artists. Instant sub
It's pretty cool to actually look at the lyrics. Like at first it seems dumb but all of the things he talks about in the song are homages to rock bands and other artists in the past (being escorted out of a concert by police, throwing a tv off of the hotel, etc) it's all things people have done that has shaped the "personality" and lifestyle of being a rockstar. Kinda neat I guess
@@esvignettes7592 literally everyone realizes that. we've all heard the song a million times. i'm not saying it has shit lyrics but we all pretty much were like "oh, i get it, all the lines are about being a old school rockstar mixed in with shit from today. good song." it's only a certain section of fans that think the song is super deep and reflective when it's just a dope song about being a rockstar.
"the lyrics are meh" The song is literally filled with references to classic rock moments. To rockstars and their movements. At least that what's Posts verse is filled with.
Everyone gets that, but it's just all surface-level. Usually, they're breaking down rappers delivering much more content and depth with their words. That's why people say the lyrics are not great. It's fine, he's (successfully) aiming for airplay and mass appeal, not to be a great MC.
Post Malone is actually a really talented guy. He doesn't consider himself a rapper and has said that his next album might be an alternative rock or even a country/folk album. This is a video of him covering Don't Think Twice It's Alright by Bob Dylan th-cam.com/video/d_NS9Vd1sMA/w-d-xo.html
Fun facts about Post: He started off a guitarist for a metal band He has a Dimebag tattoo Has a friendship with Dave Mustaine Listens to Infant Annihilator A self-proclaimed metalhead ❤️
1 note repeated 10 times, lower one note 10 times and drop and run back up the three notes is not a melody. It's a rhythmic hook, but don't call it a melody.

Also it would've been funny if y'all dropped a freestyle during that Instrumental hahahaha. Good looks on this one Lost In Vegas.

I understand where you're coming from but if you don't look into Post's lyrics on the first verse, you won't notice it. His whole first verse is a big reference to the the golden age of rock and roll on how rockstars basically lived back then. He is now saying that today's rappers are living that life now, like a "rockstar"

The open-mindedness with which you approach songs makes your videos such a joy to watch. Your reactions are genuine and your enthusiasm is so fun! I love your channel.

They're smart and actually decipher lyrics and throw in a huge amount of their own content and opinions. You're the only reaction channel I've found that I actually want to keep watching, got my sub.
STRAYngeDaze dude, Ty Dolla $ign is a "singer who sings rap lyrics" as he described himself and Post falls in that same category. I own all Post's songs as well, so don't judge without knowing, also, Post Malone is described as a Hip-Hop, RnB, Trap and Cloud Rap artist. Ty Dolla $ign is described as a Hip-Hop and Contemporary RnB artist.
Sevendust - Angel's Son or 311 - Beyond the Grey Sky. I know you already did a 311 song, but both of these songs here choke me up each time I hear them. Both are about losing friends; one to an accident and one to suicide. Even if you don't do a video reaction I encourage you to listen to them anyway.
Oh my, I had to listen to Post Malone for you guys and I hear your comments and I agree. I for one can barely stand his music as maybe I focus too much on the lyrics and they feel empty to me, but I hear you and I think, "man, I don't know what it is either but the music has a nice flow and is catchy as hell", nice reaction guys!
He lived close to me and was working at Chicken Express in Grapevine/Southlake, TX. Moved out to California in a house with 5 guys who were already down there, All Gamers. He made WHite Iverson by Himself in his little home studio and put it out on TH-cam. The next Day he FREAKED OUT, it had like 100,000 views, he couldn't believe it! Then 200,000, 300,000, then he Took Off! He's a very nice down to earth guy as well if you ever watch him. Very respectful and cool and he's a TALL Fool, like 6' 3". From Frying Chicken at Chicken Express in Texas to Hollywood............
You guys have got to listen to "Lateralus" by Tool. Literally everything by Tool is incredible, but Lateralus is probably the best for you two. Especially with the lyric structure and your affinity for hip hop.
React to: Joyner Lucas - Just Because Hopsin - Nocturnal Rainbows Hopsin - Hop is Back (has a Kendrick Diss lmao) Logic - I'm Gone Joey Badass - Legendary ft. J Cole
Love that you guys do music ghat isn't really lyrical or good in general but the vibes is good. Love the videos. You guys need to do some more Royce and definitely go back to Joyner Lucas. Love the videos guys. Keep up the good work!!!
I don’t listen to post for his in depth lyrical content. I listen to J Cole for that. Post I can relax and vibe to. Shit is smooth, pure and simple. No one else can flow melodically like this. Take that shit to the bank
I REALLY wanna see them react to Ill mind of hopsin 4 that would be hilarious!!!! 😂😂😂 everyone who hasn't seen it go watch it and tell them to watch it it's hilarious
Just found this channel, but you guys rock! My song recommendations: Rage Against the Machine - How I Could Just Kill a Man Papa Roach - Between Angels and Insects And for some Australian hip-hop: Bliss N Eso - Tear The Roof Off
Owen Chute I second rage against the machine (but that is a Cyprus Hill cover) instead do their original songs like "Bullet in the Head, "Know Your Enemy", or "Bombtrack"
I think everyone needs a guilty pleasure artist. Post is that for me! great vid again guys. REACT TO PRYDE - NUFF SAID .. :D Cant wait to see more vids
Okie White Boy here! but.....Damn, that inst start had me crackin up, but glad I got to enjoy the rest of it with y'all! Much respect to 21S and Post Malone! EDITNESS::::: yeah I subscribed, I wanna drink a beer with you guys!
You guys sold me on your metal song reactions, definitely will be checking you guys out more in the future. If you are looking for some more great rock/metal to review Alexisonfire is great check out any of the songs of their album Young Cardinals/Old Crows or Crisis. Another Amazing Rock group to check out is Alter Bridge, its the guitarist, bass player, and drummer from Creed with a new lead singer and holy shit are they amazing! Any of their albums are loaded with great stuff just check out their song "Crows on the wire" off their latest album is absolutely sick! Another heavy band that's fantastic is Machine Head check out the song Halo. And last recommendation is a band called Protest the Hero, my god amazing guitar work check out the song Termites
Thank you guys for being entertaining enough to get me to listen to Post Malone, I still won't go out and buy any of his stuff but I'm glad to have at least been exposed to his thing. Keep up the awesome reactions guys, you're inspirational and you're doing an amazing thing for the love of all music! I know you get thousands of requests for reactions and this may not be the most popular choice but, if you really want to have your minds blown apart by arguably the greatest guitarist of this generation: Steve Vai Tender Surrender , I would love to see your reaction to that.
Please do I fall apart by post malone! It shows his other side, hes a singer mainly he started rapping kinda so to say to get into mainstream to get people to look into his actual music! His music is amazing to the ear trippy soul music! I fall apart or leave by post malone will change your perspective on him
I have to agree guys. First time I've heard anything by Post Malone. I've been mostly stuck to late 80's, 90's, and early 2000 rap for a long time. I just never heard much on the radio that I cared for lately so I quit trying. This was catchy and kind of funny. Definitely could bang it. I've been overusing old songs to bang the system in the truck for a long long time. You guys are dragging me out of the dark and I appreciate it more then you may realize. Free thinkers!
Lmaooo the instrumental start had me rolling
LOL!

"Shit was legendary threw a tv out the window of the Montage"

STRAYngeDaze dude, Ty Dolla $ign is a "singer who sings rap lyrics" as he described himself and Post falls in that same category. I own all Post's songs as well, so don't judge without knowing, also, Post Malone is described as a Hip-Hop, RnB, Trap and Cloud Rap artist. Ty Dolla $ign is described as a Hip-Hop and Contemporary RnB artist.
+Jake Lacy not really

Hahahaha love the intro 'screw up', love you guys. Keep it real!

As far as reaction channels go, this is pure gold. Time and effort can really make a difference.

New freezer- rich the kid ft Kendrick Lamar
You guys have got to listen to "Lateralus" by Tool.
Literally everything by Tool is incredible, but Lateralus is probably the best for you two. Especially with the lyric structure and your affinity for hip hop.
React to:
Joyner Lucas - Just Because
Hopsin - Nocturnal Rainbows
Hopsin - Hop is Back (has a Kendrick Diss lmao)
Logic - I'm Gone
Joey Badass - Legendary ft. J Cole
Smit they’ve done I’m Sorry before but it keeps getting blocked

This channel has really grown. Flourish my guys.
He is not a rapper, he is just simply put, a musician and is good at what he does. I love his music.
Love that you guys do music ghat isn't really lyrical or good in general but the vibes is good. Love the videos. You guys need to do some more Royce and definitely go back to Joyner Lucas. Love the videos guys. Keep up the good work!!!

I hit like just for the simple fact that you guys are so real you didnt even edit out the mistake at the beginning
My song recommendations:
Rage Against the Machine - How I Could Just Kill a Man
Papa Roach - Between Angels and Insects
And for some Australian hip-hop:
Bliss N Eso - Tear The Roof Off
Owen Chute I second rage against the machine (but that is a Cyprus Hill cover) instead do their original songs like "Bullet in the Head, "Know Your Enemy", or "Bombtrack"
I think everyone needs a guilty pleasure artist. Post is that for me! great vid again guys.
REACT TO PRYDE - NUFF SAID .. :D Cant wait to see more vids

And last recommendation is a band called Protest the Hero, my god amazing guitar work check out the song Termites
late to this video, but curious about your thoughts on Post Malone's "Better Now".
I fall apart- post Malone
You guys are a breath of fresh air in the music world and on TH-cam. Keep it up, I love the open minds and the positive attitude
I fall apart or leave by post malone will change your perspective on him
You should check out Daddy Rock - Rockstar. They're buddy buddy with Post, and covered the song in a metal version. Super cool.

Kickinthescience you not lying man 💯💯
Haha this is great, love you guys
I have to agree guys. First time I've heard anything by Post Malone. I've been mostly stuck to late 80's, 90's, and early 2000 rap for a long time. I just never heard much on the radio that I cared for lately so I quit trying. This was catchy and kind of funny. Definitely could bang it. I've been overusing old songs to bang the system in the truck for a long long time. You guys are dragging me out of the dark and I appreciate it more then you may realize. Free thinkers!
