We move on west towards the Wild Atlantic Way but not before a disastrous breakfast where Stew attempts an omelette but its raw and inedible at Bally Branagan. We then move onto the famnouse Cobh which is an historic port with so many stories including some big tragedies. The Titanic has a very direct and personal connection with this location and we discover why. Our second Aire of the trip proves to be a hit with our campervan Harry as we relax for two days taking in the view. Does Stew catch his first fish ?

Cobh is a Beautiful city, rich with history. Thanks for sharing the museums. I was surprised how steep it is there and the Cathedral was Amazing! Ireland is definitely a place you love to visit again and again. The scenery and people are lovely. ❤

Loves it again guys. Honestly Stew..I can (Tina) identify with the glasses scenario. Spent an age the other day looking for my reading glasses...walked back into the lounge and asked Bernie if he'd seen them..."You're wearing them, you numpty"!!

Another great vlog thrilled Stew caught a fish we knew he would eventually, not so sure about his version of an omelette I think I’ll stick to Chris omelettes as they are always wonderful. Loved the museum and all their statues another place to add to our list😂😂 looking forward to Friday.

Yep Cobh was a very pretty place and there was so much history with sone great food to in the restaurants

@@getawaygeese I'd love to explore Ireland, I only got to see parts of Belfast and Dublin in the dark as I was nightshift on the lorries. Although we were working for an Irish firm our trucks were registered in the UK, they had to change the two trucks that went into Dublin to Irish registrations when some kids threw a half brick through the windscreen of one of our trucks when he was heading for the ferry.

I think when you see a ‘no camping’ notice, it is referring to tents - not camper vans and motorhomes.
Hi. It was hard to decide sometimes. Once we saw a sign (coming up in a future episode) that had a sign going down a road saying “No Campervans” but showed a motorhome symbol 🤔 (we went for it 😂)

Stew...when in East Cork you should have popped into Ballymaloe Cookery School in Shanagarry. Should have checked in with Darina Rachel Rory or some of the top class teachers gotten the low down on omelettes...😂.

Great video, very enjoyable and informative. congrats on the fish, I knew you would do it at some point. As I am a solo camper I often eat out of pans, years of backpacking when you only carried what you really needed so a plate was not required. It is great to see you both so relaxed and happy. keep up the good work and many thanks for sharing. ATB

Ireland definitely has that effect on us ( happy and relaxed) we seemed to find ourselves not moving far each day as its so stunning and relaxed enough not to care 😂😂 Jane

Omelette will not make an appearance for sone time
We do the omelette in the ridgemonkey. It's really gross when the seaweed stuff smells like that, it is a gagging smell! 6 feet tall!! 😆 That's vom inducing.🤢
Yep it was pretty thick when we were there but no where near 6 feet I can’t even visualise that

The museum looked really interesting, refreshing presentation/layout. We are often disappointed to return to ones that have been 'modernised' and find sparsely filled/poorly lit cases (that have cost the earth). Lovely spot for an aire. 👏 Stew,🎣. Don't give up on the omelette making either, you won't make the same mistake again, it actually looked very good.
Hi Andrea. Ireland seemed in general to do really well thought out museums. Even the small ones. I usually have to A/ drag stew in (to a museum) and B/ run through it to keep up with him. But he enjoyed all of them on this trip. Lol like you we thought the omelette looked quite good but it turned into a painful experience to watch him as he worked his way through it. He wasnt great by the end 😂 thanks for watching. Jane
@@getawaygeese Usually the larger ones give me back and footache and I have to search out a seat (which can be scarce). Must be the slow movement and leaning in/over/bending down that does it.

There is no letter "V" in the Irish alphabet.
So "bh" is used for the V sound.
Ah thanks for that we try but with so many differing names we often get it wrong
