This happened to my sister a few years ago too. She couldn't talk or move, she almost died. When this happened, they realized it was the cipro she was given and she ended up being okay. She didn't remember anything about what happened and she was in the hospital for weeks. When I asked my nurse friend about it, she said "oh cipro, that happens a lot with that drug." I said then why are they still prescribing it? She didn't know. And they're STILL prescribing it. Disgusting.

i had my own doctor once berate me for checking on the side effects of my prescriptions online once. he started to get really irritated and defensive saying "whos the professional here? google?" i merely said my blood pressure medication and aspirin/ibuprofen claimed to be incompatible, merely saying it lessened the effects of the blood pressure medication if i took them. he said "i should know, i have some patients who take like 12 different meds all at the same time" it didn't instill into me a feeling of security in his response. by the way, its been 6 months and i still have not gotten a referral from their office to see a specialist for the real reason i went in the first place, which is a spinal disk degenerative disease and spinal stenosis which could result in paralysis, which i learned by google, not by him.
doctors really hate it when you ask informed questions that they may not immediately know the answers to. it's my health at stake, not theirs.

Physicians only take 1 to 2 pharmacology classes during their schooling. They know what to prescribe but do not know all of the side effects. There are so many drugs on the market that it is impossible. Even pharmacists cannot list every side effect for every drug. Flouroquinolones come with a black box warning and plenty of information for patients to read on when they get their prescription. New medications will also require patients to be counseled, however many patients don't want their time wasted and refuse counseling. Furthermore, medications will have a list of potential side effects listed on the drug information sheet but it may be a side effect that is not very common. During drug trials if anyone has a side effect that side effect will be listed although most patients will not experience that side effect. I've taken flouroquinolones countless times and have never had any issues. Different people will experience different things. The black box warning on flouroquinolones have been in effect over 14-15 years ago. Also, Viagra was a drug first used for cardiac patients and one of the side effects is well known lol and now Viagra is used for erectile dysfunction.

My husband was given Cipro via IV along with 2 other heavy duty antibiotics for a severely infected and dying gall bladder. He had to be on the 3 meds for 4 days before it was safe to have surgery to remove the gall bladder. He started having serious hallucinations, delirium, aggressiveness; and kept telling me they were trying to kill him. The nurses asked me if he was a heavy drinker, as his symptoms mimicked delirium tremors. Absolutely not! Once we finally got home (they had given him an Rx for oral Cipro), he did some research (professionally an organic chemistry researcher), and discovered the warnings and a long list of side effects. I can’t believe any doctor would prescribe Cipro for something as easy to treat as a UTI. It should never be prescribed to anyone for anything as far as I’m concerned.

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR THIS STORY! I have been taking care of my Mother for 2 years now after she was prescribed this medication from her primary doctor for Chronic UTI's with automatic refills for 2YEARS STRAIGHT! Infact, she was still on it when she became paralyzed, bedridden, non verbal, with no memory and in HORRIBLE pain. When anyone touched her, she would scream in pain! I kept taking her to the ER and Doctors couldn't find ran test and couldnt find anything. Finally, they diagnosed her with "dementia' and said she had " a systematic pneumonia", that just came out of nowhere. I didn't believe it for a second. They admitted her, took her off Cipro so they could treat her with another antibiotic for the pneumonia and after two weeks released her to rehab to TRY to get her to walk again. Amazingly, her "dementia" subsided. She stayed in rehab for 2 weeks and was released home with a wheelchair (still partially paralyzed)and prescribed at home physical therapy. She was put back on her meds, including CIPRO... Long story short... She got worst, AGAIN... Completely paralyzed, nonverbal, memory.. GONE!, HORRIBLE PAIN! Doctors did nothing, gave no answers and would not admit her. I was devastated! Her doctor kept saying she wasn't walking bcuz of her arthritis and she wasn't talking bcuz of her "dementia" that she was diagnosed with via the ER. He had been seeing her for over 20 years and NEVER said anything about early stage dementia or delirium or anything. After a few months of her being like a corpse just laying in bed, non verbal. I had my 5 yo grandson over and somehow he got one of her CIPRO pills and bit it and brought it to me, I LOST MY MIND not kniwing what it was he had eaten so I tasted it and Cipro has the most horrible taste you ever want to taste so when I tasted the pill I knew what it was so I immediately started doing research to see what i should do for him bcuz he didn't swallow it, he spit it out immediately but i wanted to be safe than sorry. So as I did my research, I saw patients talking about being " FLOXED", poisoned by Ciprofloxin! MY MOM HAD EVERY SYMPTOM! I COULDNT BELIEVE MY EYES! after that, I IMMEDIATELY took her off the Cipro and made her an appt to be seen by her Dr. I told him what I researched and he kept saying NO NO NO, that's not true, wouldn't believe me. Long story short, I took her off the Cipro, its been 2 years but it had already did so much damage. She walks like a baby, very small stumbly steps, she has no strength in her hands, her short term memory is damaged, she has no life. She won't go outside or anything bcuz she use to be fo vibrant and full of life until she was poisoned by this Medication and she hates people to see her the way she is now. She just turned 70 and her life has been taken by Cipro. They REALLY need to do something about this drug, CIPRO. Just please beware and do not take it if prescribed.

EVERYTHING! They will not tell you what to do naturally to help cure yourselves. Their job is to prescribe medications. Thats why you should seek hollistic doctors or alternative medicine. The biggest fiasco was the covid vaccines. Think of all the doctors who were coaxing their patients to get them. A lot knew those vaccines were no good but pushed them anyway because big pharma gave them incentives. Look at the people now, who were forced to take those vaccines and boosters. The only doctors I would ever want to take advice from, nowadays, are the frontline doctors, who are and have always been trying to inform and help people with the truth medicines and vaccines and inform you of natural ways to heal yourselves, so that you wont even need prescriptions.

I was poisoned by Levaquin. The symptoms were awful - every joint, bone, and muscle burned - especially my hands, elbows and shoulders. I suffered from anxiety for the first time in my life, as well as leg spasms and uncontrollable twitching, blurred vision, extreme insomnia (I went 4 days straight without sleep), auditory hallucinations (I kept hearing my doorbell ring, or knocking on the doors but nobody was ever there), I felt terrified all the time and didn't know why. Hot flashes, freeze flashes, diarrhea, vomiting. It was miserable! My doctor refused to even entertain the idea that the Levaquin would do this, but I dug around on my own (wish I'd done that before I took the pill) and learned what was happening to me had happened to others. Through support of other victims and shared advice, I found a routine that healed me that was quite simple. 1. Oil pulling every morning with coconut oil. 2. A good gut heal probiotic smoothie every day for a month 3. At least 30 minutes of sunshine every day. I did other little things like grounding, meditation, etc but those 3 daily tasks were what helped the most. I've had 2 other docs try and give me Levaquin again since that happened and I refuse. There is always an alternative - Levaquin should only be used in life or death scenarios and even then, I'd ask if there were alternative antibiotics I could try first. To anyone who's going through this right now, don't give up. You will get through this, your body knows what to do it just needs the right tools. I'm here if anyone needs to talk! Only someone who's gone through it can fully understand the pain, fear, and frustration.

If we go back to the late 90s and early 2000s cipro was knows as one of the strongest antibiotics knows to man kind. They used to to treat the worst infections that could cause death. Including anthrax. That should tell people how strong it is. I was bit by a dog on my left arm , the next morning my left arm was entirely swollen and had to be rushed into emergency surgery in order to “ try “ to keep my arm. Thank god it worked , However the cipro through the IV fried some of my veins in my other arm where the IV was inserted. The veins would get black and very hard. Extremely painful. I did keep my arm though. I DO REMEMBER signing a waiver before they would attempt the cipro through the IV …. If I died or anything else the hospital was not liable. Wow. 😯. I had taken Cipro several times over the years. No problem. When I was 58, I got an ear infection and given Cipro for 14 days. On my 10th day of taking Cipro, I noticed red hives all over my chest and torso. I went to the ER, and was admitted right away. The next morning I woke up to hives all over my body. Then they turned to blisters, like with a sunburn. On the third day, I could no longer wear clothes, as the itching skin started to peel, and clothing made the itching worse. The doctors did test after test to determine if I had an infectious disease. Thank goodness I was given pain medication every four hours, as the ear infection had worsened, and went into the base of my brain..pus flowed from my ear constantly and the pain was horrendous. After I was home and my skin stopped peeling, the new skin was thin like tissue paper and I was very wrinkled. It took over a month to fully recover from the Cipro reaction. Scary stuff.

Victim of Levaquin and Factiv here. Truly thought I was dying from the IV Levaquin as I experienced wracking, tearing spasms from shoulder across my chest to the other shoulder. The ER PA said I was okay and nothing was wrong. Then a wonderful angel of a nurse pulled the bag of Levaquin and started saline to flush me out, shouting to the PA that I was having a severe allergic reaction to the drug. My hearing has been affected by that experience. A couple of months after that, my PCP didn't read the label on an office sample and gave me Factive for an upper respiratory infection. A severe anaphylactic allergic response sent me to the ER again where I learned my PCP made a huge medical error by giving me the same drug I had listed as an allergy on my chart. I experienced Stevens-Johnson syndrome and now have scarring all along my arms where my skin peeled off...not sloughed off, but was first seeping, blistered, then peeled off in chunks leaving very raw skin behind. I've experienced multiple neurological issues since then and now have Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). This class of drugs is poisonous and should be completely taken off the market.

I started suffering from this crap very recently. Fortunately, it seems much milder than many others, but god damn it is so weird and it's far from a walk in the park. It's amazing how many people across so many countries have the same experiences. Doctor told me that what I'm experiencing is "impossible" and that I should seek psychiatric care, then told me he can't help me and not to come back. Incredible, I can't trust doctors ever again. As if psychiatrists are any more effective, at least I know from friends that if I listened to my doctor I'd probably be mentally buried 6 feet under via a cocktail of post-floxing fuckery and possibly psychosis-inducing psychiatric drugs.

My doctor prescribed this medication. I had not read the side effects. I was about to take the medicine when God spoke to me very clearly...he said "don't take the medicine". So I wondered why, so I went to look at the side effects and realized it has horrible side effects. So I didn't take it. Praise God He always takes care of me!

Oh wow! I had a similar experience. After breast cancer treatment, the doctor tried to get me to take medication to prevent the cancer from recurring. It would be a “clinical trial” Three different times the nurse called me with three different prescribed medications. Each time , I had agreed to take it, but when it was time to pick it up from the pharmacy, The Holy Spirit advised me not to get it. 😅

@@mikeylee1147 First, let me say I am so sorry you were injured by this poison. It is a crime that this is happening. I recommend watching the Beautiful Truth documentary. It introduces the Gerson Therapy and why it is so effective on most all chronic systemic issues. From there you can look up the gerson Institute for more detailed info. I also bought several books. One is by Charlotte Gerson... it gives the how to. I did the program for 2 and 1/2 years. Extremely strict for 6 months then slightly modified for 2 years. Slowly but surely it helped, bit by bit I felt better. Bladder pain gone, muscle pain gone, arthritis pain gone, chondritis pain gone. The 6 months of doing the Gerson strict was the only time in the last decade I didn't have two migraines a month. The hyperbarics really helped my brain and sensitivity to light and sound which I developed after Cipro. I did abt 30 sessions in one month. I still have some issues but can function normally, praise God, and no one can tell I was a floxie. I believe an answered prayer is what led me to the Gerson therapy. This knowledge has since help an aquaintance from Hartwell, GA rid herself of cancer with no chemo or radiation and a friend with migraines.

Sometimes antibiotics are necessary to save a life. They are definitely way over prescribed. But there are some situations where a person will die or have severe permanent damage if they don't take them. This particular antibiotic just should be a last resort, like the video says, if conditions don't respond to other antibiotics.

He reasoned it was an empirical practice when no cause of illness was found despite symptoms. My gut instinct said that sounded fishy. Research showed Levoquin was black boxed with a high probability of causing disabilities including tendon, muscle, and joint issues. I demanded he pull me off immediately (15 min had passed). He boasted it’s a fine antibiotic, quite common in the hospital, and been on it himself 4x. I told him he needs to find another physician. I’m OK bc God granted me the wisdom to research Levoquin. Research every med doctors put u on. Trust no one.
