I love twin shocks and usually hate single shock conversions on old bikes but this looks ace and really fits the overall style of the bike. I'd love that in my shed!

Best BMW cafe racer build I have seen in a long time. Simple clean lines the way a cafe racer should be. Very inspiring indeed. I have an 84 R100 basket case in my garage; just maybe...

Nice to see,I've got an r65 ls and this small BMW engine is often c
Derided, but you can ride this bike in top gear almost all day long at any speed.these old boxers are such great bikes and so well built, the quality of the engine casings and tractability are unreal.you go out for a ride and they just chill you right out.if you ride one u will know what I mean.thanks for showing your fantastic bike

@@tom4626 That is a question that always gives me my head, which basic pieces should not be touched on a motorcycle so that it does not become a lot of random parts, in the case of the BMW for me there are certainly three things that can't be replaced, chassis engine and cardan. In my opinión this is a BMW with all the letters. 👍👍

Nice clean bike. I am a little sceptical about no rear fender, talking about clean. I think that the wheel hugging type look good and really help the bike and rider stay clean. I like the tank look, I think that it could have been bigger, and still looked good, while giving the bike more range, that has a way of coming in handy.
As far as spoke wheels go, I have to admit that I have a weekness for them. The way a motorcycle should look. Very nice.

No rear fender is good for show but for street use not! Maybe in California...
The rear wheel is spraying dirt and water all over the engine and rider and into the carbs.
But a beautiful bike it is.

Nice work. The shock angle looks all wrong however. Review the shock lower mount travel arc in relation to the top mount. Will result in falling-rate suspension stiffness whereas you want rising -rate or at least constant-rate.

@@steveb5584 i dont. Those tyres should be either on a 40-50's rigid Harley or 3 of them on a nice vintage outfit. I've been building classic Triumphs and OHV air cooled twins for over 35 years inc having a UK shop 1988-2003, and having bikes i built featured in numerous magazines and the Crossbow Calendars. Those tyres DO NOT work as well as an Avon, Metzeler et al with a normal modern tread pattern and rubber compound. Period. As for fine in the wet..... they don't.
