    Introduction
    Mangalorean Chicken Sukka is a special semi-dry chicken recipe, made using chicken, a host of aromatic whole spices, grated fresh coconut, and is generously tempered using ghee as well as onions. 'Sukka' is nothing but dry spice-mix. It is a dry dish that can make any dinner party menu look exotic. It can be served with rice, roti & paratha. Try this recipe, and you’ll be amazed at the superb flavour balance this coastal treat offers! Do share your thoughts in the comments.

    Hi when you say freshly grated coconut that would be how many cups(cup size measurements)

    • @sushantkunder4266
      @sushantkunder4266 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's mostly full portion of grated coconut,you can use a half part of coconut if you have less chicken.More the coconut more the taste.

  • @Faithful54
    @Faithful54 ปีที่แล้ว

    Will the chicken be tendered without water boiling or frying? Moreover tamarind generally makes fleshes stiffer. I just asking you for my interest

      Same questions here.

    • @getcurried
      @getcurried  ปีที่แล้ว

      It will be good. You may choose to pre-boil, however. Add tamarind right towards the end.

    If we can’t get freshly grated coconut, would we somehow rehydrate dried coconut?

    • @getcurried
      @getcurried  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can. And, also add in a little coconut milk or cream.

  • @Sk-nu4km

    Hey Varun, can i use dry dessicated coconut instead?

    • @tussk.
      @tussk. ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes, but what he didnt mention was that the fresh coconut will release a lot of water into the pot, helping to cook it, so if you use dessicated either soak it in water first, or add about a half cup of coconut water/milk to the pot.

    • @getcurried
      @getcurried  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup. Also add a little coconut milk or cream.
