Hi Lynn, thank you so much for your interest in my work! just had a window show in Red Bank in October at the Art Alliance. I am so sorry but I will not be having any shows in the near future. It is a tremendous amount of work. Maybe one day. You can find me on Instagram as juliamuench_artist where I announce any of my upcoming events:) ❤
Hi Lynn, if you contact me directly, I can arrange a studio tour for you in the near future if you like. This way you can see some of my pieces in person in my studio/ gallery collection:)

I would also like to take the time to answer you properly, as you bring up some interesting points. Oh my goodness, to say that my work is reminding you of Gaudi is such a tremendous compliment to me. It is is strange, but many years ago , i had the great pirivilege to travel to Barcelona for the World Folk Music and Dance Fsitival of 2004. Of course I was able to experience the genius of Gaudi's art in person. Anything in my work that is similar to Gaudi is most certainly subconcious. I will have to learn more about the artist you mention, Tapies :-) Yes, I am also a professional pianist, and perhaps that has influenced my work as well. I have always loved music AND art and can't really be without either. Thank you for being such an open and perceptive person walking on this Earth. "
Looking at lights segued me to you. I truly loved watching the paintings emerge and aligning your music to them. How does one even begin your art? Thank you so much.
What a poetic response:) thank you for taking time to view some of my work and respond. How do I begin? Sometimes I just see which colors I am drawn to and start there. There are also universal forms ( see my Gaudi video) that keep me inspired.
Thank you for sharing your story. I loved all of it and can relate. I am going to be 70 this year and have sewn for 50 years. I enjoy making things and love nature, color, fabric and texture. I have made many things including quilts and wall hangings. I’m hesitant to try art quilts and would love to share them. I’m not very confident in my ability to do this. Can you recommend to any of us that need some help in getting started. Especially at my age. Thank you.
Hi Marie. Thank you so much for sharing as well! Don't worry about what anyone thinks, just go for it. For me, having a chance to just look at art in general, is very inspiring and Art is always subjective. I would say, just get out and go see an art exhibit or quilt exhibit ) that interests you take a look at what’s in the exhibit. What draws you in? What do you absolutely like/not like? Take notes. It's YOUR journey. . It’s OK not to like certain things and it’s OK to love certain things like I said, it’s all subjective. As far as being creative, maybe start with a smaller size canvas. You would be surprised at what you can do s working smaller . Do you happen to like batik fabric? I love batiks and find it so versatile to work with it. It’s also a really high-quality tightly woven fabric that makes working smaller easier. Get to know your fabric types, and look around on TH-cam to see what you like art-wise and working with smaller types of pieces. I hope this helps. Please let me know how things go for you.
Wonderful and inspiring. I’m a multi discipline artist and for a while I’ve been stuck in the doldrums . I’ve got stuck in producing the same old things . I started to use your idea of using photography for inspiration. Thanks for the push I needed. I use photos in all my areas of work now
I can’t tell you how your comment made my day💖 it’s always great to be inspired and not always easy to come by. Please keep me posted on how your photos are helping you with your art projects:)
Большое спасибо за ваши комментарии. Это так много значит. Вы сделали мой день:-) Пожалуйста, оставайтесь на связи. Скоро я опубликую новое длинное видео о звуке и цвете.
Jayne, thank you you so much for this! I love working with vibrant colors. I have a local fiber art show coming up in 2 days and your comment is timely: www.artsypopups.space😅🎨
@@caryneisenberg1504 you fulfill my sincere hope that my videos, art and music inspire, educate and encourage. Have a beautiful day and keep me updated on your creative progress. xo
Rachel R. says..."I just finished watching the interview, and I thought it was such a wonderful way to showcase your work and who you are as an artist. I especially liked how you described how you approach your art like how the thread and the fabrics are your paint and paintbrushes. You should be so proud of yourself and the recognition you are receiving."
I’m down the road 👋🏼 a piece from you, Monmouth Beach, and see some of same photos on the beach but the one that I just love is the sand and ripples. I love your style. Your quilts are exquisite. How corny am I because I like your sewing table as well? I’m headed to see your Etsy store. Some of your designs would make great scarves!
Hi Dianne, So nice to meet you on youtube! And thank you for your lovely compliments! So funny you mention scarves because I am working on a shawl design right now. Let's have coffee some time soon! Before the ice sets in ;- I am on instagram at quiltingarden1
Thank you for your compliment and insights. It's great to have an open mind and try new things. I love modern and traditional as well, but for me it is more about the esthetics, and how I feel when I look at something.
quote from Kathy K ( with permission): "What a beautiful, cohesive, interesting artist statement. You really presented who you are, in so many dimensions. The words you spoke, how you delivered them, the images, the pacing, and the music all came together to create in me a sense of calm and happiness, as well as inspiration."
Love it!! You are so talented! Such unique creative and colorful pieces. Yes you’ve inspired me! I want/need to do something. Just not sure what yet ☺️. May i say again the music is perfect. Love it.
Dear Sharon, Thank you so much for your comment! Yes, certain pieces, such as "Birthing of Ideas" ( which take a few months to make) are NFS, however, if someone wants this piece in particular, I am taking offers to have a similar one- of -a -kind art piece commissioned just for them. I also have my first solo exhibit coming up this July...so please stay tuned:-) xoxo
Love the video but as someone hard of hearing this music is really intrusive and to me, louder than the voice. Had to mute and use captions. Gave up after 2 mins
Thank you for your critique. I agree the music is a bit loud at times. I would have to upload an entirely new video. After Over 40,000 views, and many likes, I decided to leave it the way it is.
Love your work, but I have a hearing problem and can't make out your words, the background music is to loud. Please for future downloads can you reduce the music. Again I love your work.
VJ, Thank you for your kind words and alerting me to this sound issue. Unfortunately it takes a tremendous amount of time (hours) to go into the sound portion off the video, and make changes to a video longer than a 1-2 minutes, bringing out the words louder than the music. Then I also have to re-upload the video, which takes another few hours. I can try to put in subtitles, through the youtube application, so you can make out the words better. In future, I will certainly try to improve upon this! Hopefully, this will help.
Your work is stunning ❤
you are so kind, and THANK YOU.
Will you have a show soon in New Jersey ? I live in NJ. and would love to see your work in person ❤️
