@@ledzepfilm me too! i was shooting 'experimental' film back then with my Bolex so i have no idea what i could have been doing that day. could just be some wacky stuff but you are welcome to use anything i come up with. this all started with me trying to figure out what month and year i saw them but it was definitely before 1974 when i moved to SF. in my wife's handwriting it just says 'led zeppelin'....on the kodak box.
Craig Love even if it’s “experimental” film it still could be great - any footage of Zep is! If you remember any songs they played then it will be helpful in narrowing down the exact date. How much film did you bring?
@@ledzepfilm no idea how much film. that was a long long time ago. my Bolex H8 could handle larger spools but it was likely the D8 which is 3 minutes max. just the film that i took in will cost me about 700 bucks to scan. i figured if i took it all in it would be over 7,000 bucks! cheap to send off in the mail where they do a roll for about 15 but i would never trust them with my film. see you next month! have a good holiday!
@@concertboots6718 I'm in contact with the owner of the reel... we're gonna work together to see if we can sync any audio. For those wondering, it's about 6.5 minutes of the Central Park show Sons of 1984 was recorded... this is unbelievable. I've only seen screenshots so far and it looks great.
@@dpod15 Yes, it'll be an uphill battle on the sync if I had to bet. You're probably a bigger fan than I, but a good chunk of the footage is just shots of them kinda messing around, which probably isn't gonna be able to be synced. The portions where they're actually playing would be easier if I had to guess. It's an excellent film, certainly historic no matter what.
@@concertboots6718 Yeah, it's been uploaded now. I determined the sync was impossible, and if anything were to work it would be so short that it wouldn't be worth it.

Grant and Cole would scour the audience looking for camera devices. I’m thankful they didn’t find the person who shot this!
The quality of JPJ’s bass is really good in this

The balance of the sound on this is incredible. I wish Zeppelin bootlegs of that era were this sonically clean.

wow !!!
this is too good....has the sound been merged from SBD source or is this direct from the camera?😯😯😯
Synced to the soundboard. The original film is silent.

Better than TSRTS
I have a question, isn't 8mm silent? How was the audio synced up with the video when you can barely see the instruments at times?
Lighting, instrumentation, outfits, and being familiar with the band overall are big factors.
