All credit goes to the filmer for this incredible footage! I finally got around to putting a completionist version of this together on this lazy Sunday.
A few notes: -Hopefully, if the filmer/uploader is viewing this, he can put out a complete version of both films on TH-cam. I don't make any money from any of my videos, so uploading this is purely for the love of the band. There's supposedly about 40 minutes and this video is about half of it. This deserves to be seen in the most unedited form, as this is some of the best LZ footage ever!!!! -This is both TH-cam videos put together. -I've resynced the whole thing with the circulating audience tapes, though I left the filmer's/uploader's recording in for a few spots in Whole Lotta Love as the sound quality was far better. -There are two film sources here. A few clips that were originally in Communication Breakdown were actually from Good Times Bad Times (both cameras were running simultaneously for a few moments). I've elected to put the two sources together in order without splitscreens. The first source is a slightly wider aspect ratio than the second. -The filmer/uploader put in a few title cards, transitions, repeated clips, etc. I've removed all of these in favor of a raw viewing experience.
Robert Plant prancing around with Jimmy Page rocking all along and Bonham batting off like a wild animal, can't forget JPJ with his monster bass. Top of the rocknroll world.
Guys can we all agree that this is the golden goose of all Zep footage? A clear audience recording and full on perfect footage of the band on stage playing in their prime no doubt. Plant and pages skills are hot and you got 40 MORE minutes of this ?? Cmon it can’t get any better than this !! Been waiting a long time and just felt like I went to my first Zep concert.

Boy…we’ve come a long way, huh? My love affair w these Japan shows started in 1985 with the b&w picture disc set of Osaka 29.9.71. In fact all we had back then was; Zoso magazine by Taylor (I’ve still got all my mailings!) and Tight But Loose by Dave…and record shows. With the advent of the internet some 10 years later it made the world a small place. It’s absolute heaven for a Zeppelin fan-til-death such as myself. This footage I’ve been waiting for since those innocent mid eighties days. Thank you for posting it! My good mate over at LZ Boots told me about it being over here. I viewed it a year or so ago but it just popped up in my feed today. It’s such a pleasure to watch. Many thanks again.
Whoa, Orange amps! Man am i sold on them!! My little micro terror i got gives me the sound i was always looking for. Definitely getting a bigger one at some point. It's got that tone. Man, Japan just has always had some of the greatest rock and metal fans. God bless ya Japan!
it's really great at 20:03 when Plant leads the band into You Shook Me and it's clearly unplanned, Page needs a roadie to get him the slide. Then they deliver a perfect version of a song that was last a fixture of their setlists two years earlier!
F~a~n~t~a~s~t~i~c. The sharpest copy that I have seen of this show so far. Actually the most completed version that I have seen to date. You are the best LZF~ Rob/Boston
Closest thing I've seen yet to a full live version of Immigrant. SO much footage, SO many times they opened a show with it, yet they always seem to miss this one song. Thanks!!!
This is amazing I didn't know there was any footage of this. This version of the solo in immigrant song has always been one of my favorites and its awesome to see theres footage of the entire solo. Hopefully theres video of the whole show, would love to see the full version of SIBLY, another one of my favorite versions.
This is just incredible. Tobacco Road on video. Never thought there was even a chance it was taped. How does it take 50 years for this to come out??? Makes me think Jimmy had to be involved. Thanks for all the work that went in to making this video. You did an amazing job.
Can’t believe I’m seeing this for the first time. Someone in Japan knew what they were going to see that night and was moved to document it. Pearl Harbor...Forgiven.
Hi ledzepfilm! I saw in the Royal Orleans forum that the original filmer just published the ~50min film of this show but it's private. Do you have it? I can't wait to see it
@@ledzepfilm is there any other way you could get it? For example contacting to the owner or something? I just really want (I think we all want) to see the whole footage...😅 one of the best Zep shows of all time
@@DeborahParham-ve1vp Because we have been told for decades that things like this didn't exist...or you know...at least in commercial quality...and maybe that is some of the deal here...though, I'm not a hundred percent sure about that...in that it couldn't be used for a commercial release at all. @@alexkx8599 I'm on the downhill slide to 73. I was lucky enough to see them live once. Compared to that these videos are just gravy. Like I said before just sit back and ENJOY. It will NEVER be as good as actually having seen them live in their prime, but is better than nothing.
@@DeborahParham-ve1vp Right. My brother and I accidentally ran into The Strange Sensation back in 2005 at the House Of Blues in Myrtle Beach out on the patio when they were walking from one area to another and no one else was out there. It was wild, lol.
Nobody was playing like this in 1971, not even The Who, esp. on drums. NOBODY. Though Black Sabbath was close - but they were a bit too ahead of the times in 1971. Note the reaction from a Japanese audience, which if you're familiar with Japanese culture, is almost as shocking as the performance itself.

OMG this is incredible. Thanks for all of your hard work in bringing this to us and thanks to the filmer. Id love to see all 40 minutes.
What happened with those 40 minutes? It's been a long time.
Thanks bro uploading this gem...
Thank you for doing this.

It’s amazing to think how short lived yet impactful and game changing “that” plant voice was
My God John Bonham is 10 levels above any other drummer. I knew this all along but this video proves it!

I think I paid almost $40 for the record in 1985. 40 dollars was a small fortune back then.

Wish Jimmy never did drugs... This was his best live playing next to Osaka. Probably because couldn't get drugs in Japan lol
His best playing was 73 and we was on speed LOL
Jezus man, unbelievable sooooo🎸🎸🎸🎤🎤 good!!!!
The Heartbreaker guitar break/ solo is almost identical to the one on How the west was won.
Didn't know it was that consistent
I'm Brazilian: the volume of Bonham's drums is impressive, which you can already see before the show starts.

Yeah, what is the story behind this and why do we not know?!!!
They loved touring Japan. Don't know why they never returned, after 1972.
Some of their best shows were in Japan!
Great. I've had the boot for ages, but didn't know some of it was filmed.
Green Sparkle Drum Kit!!!
As far as I'm aware, this is one of the very few concerts where they played Good Times Bad Times in its entirety
The infamous set of green drums!!!!!!

I was gonna do the same thing with all the sources but this is done so smoothly, well done! Could you possible do the same with the texas pop film?
Not sure if there's enough from Texas Pop to warrant such a comprehensive edit; maybe if more footage surfaces...
