Hi all. I've added some captions to the Cybotron videos to ensure everyone is aware of the latest works of co-founders Steve Maxwell Von Braund and Geoff Green. I'll be keeping them there for the rest of 2023 as I think it provides a historical undertone, but happy to hear suggestions for a better way if too many people find the captions annoying.
Also in the description, here are the links for both Braund and Green's latest works:

And this one, despite having many typical elements as well, sounds pretty modern. If it came out this year, It would fit naturally. While most of the 70s prog would not, with all due respect. That's what we call ahead of its time.

Hi all! (sorry, I’m writing through a translator). Once upon a time (about 15 years ago) I played the game GTA VC and began to look for the soundtrack for the game: there was an AMERICAN (?) group Cybotron with the track "Clear". And I found this Australian group with the same name here on TH-cam, which I’m very happy about! This is a real treasure, especially when you not only listen to music, but also have videos from those years. Now I listen to it regularly and mentally return to the 70s.

The other "Cybotron" was formed in 1981 that was Juan Atkins and fellow Washtenaw Community College student, Vietnam veteran Richard Davies. This Cybotron is a sequel to the cult 1975 Australian Space Rock album 'Monster Planet' by Steve Maxwell Von Braund. On the cusp of the 45th anniversary of the original release of Monster Planet, The Roundtable has again been granted privileged access to the Cybotron archives.
To celebrate Record Store Day 2020 they compiled a compendium of "lost" tracks collected from 1974 to 1981, ranging from ARP synthesiser experiments to heady space rock to sophisticated electro-sounds of classic Cybotron. Return To Monster Planet offers a glimpse into the fascinating musical world of Steve Braund, one of the most marginalised yet singular artists to emerge from the golden (space) age of Australian music.

At 3:08 the drummer makes a mistake on the snare. This actually adds something for me. Because of the skill and talent that it takes to learn an instrument, as opposed to programming a drum machine. The millisecond differences where a drummer rushes or drags a beat are perceptible to us humans and what gives music it’s ’feel.’ Too much of modern music is sterilized by either programming, or ‘correcting’ a track. It’s making musicians stupider, as well as the listening audience.

Awesome clip! The keyboard player hitting a clunker right in the middle of the piece just adds to the charm-shit happens in live performance!
